You get used to it, honestly a clockwork side means mechanical side, which is honestly less creepy to me than if it was biologically an actual spider, then again, the only reason it may be there even is for the E rating on the box, which even then is a long shot, either way, in my opinion, robot spider is less creepy to me than an actually biological spider
There is very little that affects me emotionally like Super Paper Mario's ending. "To feel sadness is to live, but as long as you are alive, the future is a blank page."
Super Muskett then why are you replying to a reply of a comment while watching a year old video, replying to a comment why they are watching year old video…
Man, I cried badly inside *and* out the first time I saw the Count Bleck x Tippy (Timpani) moment/ending of Super Paper Mario. And I *still* get the heartwarming and heartbreaking feels, now that I have seen it again!
Even then it was just a part of his plan to make it look like he killed them so Mario can find Luigi who he also sent down there and revive the Pure Heart. So without Dimentio's help the heroes wouldn't have been able to get to Count Bleck and all worlds would have been erased and he wouldn't have taken the Chaos Heart from his beaten hands.
My favorite moment is the scene at the end of Chapter 7 where Luvbi has an emotional breakdown after realizing she isn't Grambi and Jaydes actual daughter but is really a Pure Heart, and then essentially gives up her conscious form to save the world. Not to mention you have to deal with the heartbreak Grambi and Jaydes go through the entire time. That hit me way more than Sammer Kingdom being obliterated

I like how every chapter 3 is consistent with the villain, right down to them having similar design derivation. Tubba Blubba is the basic start. He comes to the town to attack the denizens, has his own domain with servants (in this case everyone else stays from it due to fearing him) and does what he does out of a need for revenge against the boos. Grubba is that idea on steroids; his domain has opened up to the entire Glitz Pit complete with an army of staff and he openly lures his victims into it with the tournament. His plan is much the same though, except even more cruel as he drains them of life to fuel his need for power, one that's entirely for keeping up his glory days. Then you have the inversion in Francis; His domain and goals actively keep people out of his way, he relies entirely on his own creations to cater to him, and the only reason he becomes a threat to the heroes is basically unfortunate timing. Otherwise, he would have been harmless. S'nice.
LordMasterFox agreed and I have an idea for another set of PM countdowns: partners rankings, ranking the chapters on opinion, etc. I’ve only seen one or two videos related to these topics and I’d love to see Logan’s opinions.

Number 1 is also my favorite! Smorg is also my favorite boss because of the fact youre saving people in the bosses clutches, while fighting that boss on a high speed moving train! What could be better than that
This was just brilliant and I'm glad to see I share some moments with another person. But in all honesty, this made my day. Just listening to how passionate you got on some of these segments just made my crappy day a bit better. Thanks man, I hope you continue to make these awesome countdowns!
i loved all of these moments. my favorite moment has to be the end of paper mario 64 though. luigi throws you a parade, there's a party in your honor, your partners all get credit, it's hinted that twink became a star spirit, that victory music when you get the star rod, beating the only bowser that has ever canonically stomped mario into embarrassment, and watching the entire 8th chapter literally explode. it doesn't get better than that.

Comparing sticker star to phantom menace and colorsplash to attack k of the clones is pretty genius, and when you compare Origami King to Revenge of the Sith, you see even more parallels. Even though the story isn't that good, there is so much to love from it. For Revenge of the Sith, it's the memes and dialogue, as well as the tragic finale. For Origami King, it's the characters and dialogue, and ESPECIALLY the exploration.
Glad Super Paper Mario is snagging high spots on this list, considering that's the only Paper Mario game I ever played. Loved it, by the way. Great video.
@@Stu228 super paper marios gameplay is only fun the first time through because of how linear it is but the aftergame/story/settings are my favorites in the whole franchise. Flipside and Flopside are a boring as fuck hub world but every level in the game feels completely unique and creative, Mario literally fucking DIES and has to go to the bottom of the River Styx where you hear demonic cries for help
Not to mention the Smorg battle theme was fucking awesome! The steady background percussion sounds like a train moving on a track, reminding you that you were on top of a MOVING TRAIN while fighting. The tense violins also make the moment really feel awesome, and then the slower bit with the weird sounds (not sure what they're called) really fits the Smorgs themselves. One of the best battle themes I've heard ever!
What about the end of the thousand year door, when mario isn't fast enough to save peach, she gets possessed, and he LOSES, but then like an anime or something, the wishes of all the people you met along your journey, help give you strength to fight the biggest threat mario has ever seen, all while looking like peach That. That is the best moment in paper mario, and im only upset because it was NOWHERE on this list
My top 5 moments (from 1 and super, since i have never played TTYD, and also different for variety, and also in no particular order) 5: underchomp - okay, some trick questions, a couple visual puzzles, oh hey the third door is a boss fi- WHAT!? since when were we playing earthbound!? 4: peach sections from paper mario - except for the cake baking. that was filler. we may have wanted to find something in another cool stealth section... but no. cake for fat guy. 3: refusing required stuff - no, i don't want to take the maguffin! *dies* no, i don't want to put on a space helmet in space! *dies* no, i don't want to save luvbi! *dies* (long story short, refuse, you die and that's funny) 2: luvbi's death - so... dang... SAD!... until somehow she gets revived offscreen in the postgame. somehow. 1: paper mario's final battle - all 3 dang phases! it's an awesome finale to an awesome game!
10. Much creepier than he looks. BTW I love how you said "it's all like play with me to this" and showed the "play with me footage" at a point that happens AFTER this. 9. Also creepy 8. Could have been a cool chapter if it weren't so FRUSTRATING with the backtracking! 7. That is pretty cute... at least until you realize that it's a human and a chameleon. 6. I love this chapter 5. Both cute and creepy 4. Depressing 3. I wish Bowser was this awesome in the newer games 2. Scariest moment in the whole franchise 1. I love this chapter. By the way I love that Snakes on a Plane reference
You’re videos never fail to make me laugh. You can be so happy, funny, and interesting all at the same time. It truly amazes me how cool of a UA-camr you are. Thank you for everything and keep up the great work! - Doge
One moment that always sticks out to me, no matter how many times I play this game, is when you go behind the Riverside Station and see the Sun set in Chapter 6 of TTYD. To me, it's always been this sign of "your adventure is coming to an end". I know there's 2 more chapters after, but it's at that point the game felt like it was drawing to a close. You've been on a long journey, traveled to many locations, met a lot of great people along the way. But all good things must come to an end.
I would just like to say Kudos to you, man. You've been uploading videos at a consistent basis that have never wavered in quality. I enjoy every video, even if I don't always agree with the entries.
I disagree with you on your reasoning for number 2 being only #2. (Spoilers for the list ahead) Your association with the revival of Sammer's Kingdom dampening the tragedy of it being destroyed with other times where something somewhat similar happened seems somewhat unreasonable from an average player's perspective. If you recall, Flipside, the land of the Cragnons, as well as Yold town were also destroyed by the void in the finale, and if you went by your logic, they would have to stay dead too. There would be no post game to go to because Flipside would be gone. It would also disappoint people (like me) who thoroughly enjoyed Sammer's Kingdom and wanted to see the rest of it. It just wouldn't make sense to keep it destroyed and never let you see the end of it. That's dark even by Super Paper Mario standards, and many people would not like it.
The first Paper Mario had SIMPLER mechanics than TTYD. Your partners were a lot less useful, for example. They didn't have health, any good tactic options, or access to the items pouch. You also couldn't put them in front of you, all of which severely limits your options compared to the second game. If you like that, it's your perogative, but I prefer the wider range of strategy TTYD had.
Pedro Gonzales While TTYD definitely had easier battles, I though it was an overall massive improvement from the first game. Superguarding gave a high risk/high reward defensive option. The stage mechanics allowed for things such as the improved SP system (stylish moves and appeals included) instead of it just replenishing a static amount each turn. The random events could occasionally become annoying, but they were mostly left out of boss fights, usually benefited you, were minor, or were very easy to avoid (plus they made things interesting). All in all, I would call it better, but, of course, improvements can be made.
I still kinda wish we could've seen some Color Splash on these countdowns, but this list in particular is probably where it would fall behind. Although a solid game, these games truly had moments. I was surprised you weren't more complimentary of the Excess Express itself and the lead-up to its moment, but by golly you're right about that boss. Thanks for FINALLY including the X-Naut Fortress music I have long awaited even if it wasn't relevant to the matter at hand ;)
I'd have to say #1 for me is when Doopliss takes over. You could let shadow Mario lay there for hours and not know what's up without pressing A. The eerie silence after he takes Mario's body, the harmless exterior yet hellish mindset, and the fate of living the rest of eternity as a shadow of your former self.
Kid: Ooooh, I can't wait to play Super Paper Mario! *Plays Chapter 2 and makes it to the Mimi cutscene* Kid: Okay, this getting creepy. *Mimi breaks her neck and turns into her spider form* Kid: HOLY CRAAAAAAAAAAAP!!!!!!!
The single most important aspect that makes Paper Mario, Paper Mario. And Nintendo chooses to lie to themselves that the series is better off without it. We want Paper Mario, not New Super Mario Bros. with so many dumb paper jokes that we wish the characters were mute!!!
Xnaut314 super paper mario sold the most followed by sticker star, then thousand year door and the original. Unfortunately based on money their best bet is to make bad games
Zsurvivalist abyssary By sales numbers, yes, but Nintendo doesn't realize that those results were driven by the consoles, not the quality of the games themselves. SPM sold the best because it was on the Wii, their best selling console since the NES. And while it is clearly the weakest of the original three it still had enough charm and fun in it to earn its Paper Mario title, if just barely. SS sold second-best because the 3DS was also a popular handeld and most importantly because PM fans were starving for a new entry after a 5 year drought that we jumped on it thinking it was the return-to-form that it was advertised to be, only to find out after buying that it was anything but. If people truly loved SS then there is no reason why CS is the worst selling entry despite improving on everything SS created. The real sign of success
The real sign of success is in the performance of the PM64 and TTYD. They both sold on fairly low selling consoles for Nintendo and PM64 sold very well for a game released at the end of its console's lifespan. And the TTYD sold better than its predecessor despite the Gamecube selling fewer units than the N64. That's the true sign of people buying a game for the game itself, not just its a new game for some console a lot of people bought for unrelated reasons. The Switch is selling very well, so it's likely a new PM for Switch will sell well for that, but if it turns out to be SS3 I think fans will rebel against it like they did with CS. Sorry for the monologue.
Nintendo has very selective hearing and logic when responding to fans, and considering how narcissistically stubborn Miyamoto has been with restricting the creative freedom that Intelligent Systems and Alphadream have with developing new Mario RPGs as of late I'm not holding my breath. Miyamoto was much more involved with advising SS and CS dev teams than he was with the original three, and he probably wants to assume that CS's failure was the fault of the Wii U's low sales rather than the SS formula just being bad, so SS3 on Switch will surely sell like SS did on 3DS, disregarding that SS sales were made on false advertising that fans are not dumb enough to fall for twice or thrice.
Another fun moment is the moment you fight the Master's true form for the first time. Especially if you weren't spoiled on it. Plus the moment Cortez in TTYD goes "Frick it I'm not some mamby pamby ghost!!" Also, when Shadow Queen first appears. Sooooo Ominous.
You're #2 was one of the reasons why I wanted to play Super Paper Mario. I am actually currently playing it again too and am right before that chapter. Honestly it's my least favorite chapter, combat wise, but story wise it's just sad. Love the other Super Paper Mario moments though too. I loved it when Peach took control of that Swoon.Exe hahaha.

For Origami King, it's the characters and dialogue, and ESPECIALLY the exploration.
great video
Comment if you agree...
Or dont. I'm fine with people being strong and independent. People should be able to "*rants*"
I agree.
Awesome list. Was not expecting that to be your #1 even with how good of a chapter that was.
Best moment is any frame vivian is in
truuuuuuu!
I liked the shunned guy moments in Color splash
Glad Super Paper Mario is snagging high spots on this list, considering that's the only Paper Mario game I ever played. Loved it, by the way. Great video.
I would highly recommend finding a way to play the first two. I know 64 in one VC, and it's a good buy.
Super Paper Mario is underrated af
More like overrated af.
Fawful's minion: Tubba Blubba.
List counter: Tubba Tubbla
"Good god, vore in a Mario game?!"
Favorite moment is in paper mario 64 whenever you win a battle and mario does his finger wag pose before tipping his hat.
And now the 6th game is coming in July, hopefully it's at least good.
What about the end of the thousand year door, when mario isn't fast enough to save peach, she gets possessed, and he LOSES, but then like an anime or something, the wishes of all the people you met along your journey, help give you strength to fight the biggest threat mario has ever seen, all while looking like peach
That. That is the best moment in paper mario, and im only upset because it was NOWHERE on this list
That was actually the only scene in a video game to ever get me to break down sobbing.
It’s likely not here because it’s the most cliche RPG thing ever
I'm pretty disappointed this list didn't include Sticker Star nor Color Splash. They both have amazing moments as well. :(
True. That little, creepy "Ring" moment in CS caught me off guard.
What do you expect from Paper Salt Fans?
@@JojovonKoopa paper salt? sounds expensive
@@JojovonKoopa Never knew salt came in paper form.
Wow, you picked my favorite chapter from ttyd as your #1...awesome!
Great video as always!
Been looking forward to this. Good video as usual Logan!
This channel became my favourite channel too fast.
My top 5 moments (from 1 and super, since i have never played TTYD, and also different for variety, and also in no particular order)
5: underchomp - okay, some trick questions, a couple visual puzzles, oh hey the third door is a boss fi- WHAT!? since when were we playing earthbound!?
4: peach sections from paper mario - except for the cake baking. that was filler. we may have wanted to find something in another cool stealth section... but no. cake for fat guy.
3: refusing required stuff - no, i don't want to take the maguffin! *dies* no, i don't want to put on a space helmet in space! *dies* no, i don't want to save luvbi! *dies* (long story short, refuse, you die and that's funny)
2: luvbi's death - so... dang... SAD!... until somehow she gets revived offscreen in the postgame. somehow.
1: paper mario's final battle - all 3 dang phases! it's an awesome finale to an awesome game!
Hand over merlee or i'll snap your neck *snaps own neck*
Me: NOPE IM OUT
I freaking died at that moment.
Always nice to hear a UA-camr who's both funny and descriptive. Keep up the good work, man.
I love how he ignores Sticker Star onwards
Billy Bob Joe I think it's unfair
Yuri012
I approve
10. Much creepier than he looks. BTW I love how you said "it's all like play with me to this" and showed the "play with me footage" at a point that happens AFTER this.
9. Also creepy
8. Could have been a cool chapter if it weren't so FRUSTRATING with the backtracking!
7. That is pretty cute... at least until you realize that it's a human and a chameleon.
6. I love this chapter
5. Both cute and creepy
4. Depressing
3. I wish Bowser was this awesome in the newer games
2. Scariest moment in the whole franchise
1. I love this chapter. By the way I love that Snakes on a Plane reference
Yes you can call us beautiful Logan
You’re videos never fail to make me laugh. You can be so happy, funny, and interesting all at the same time. It truly amazes me how cool of a UA-camr you are. Thank you for everything and keep up the great work!

AYYYYYE ANOTHER LOGAN VIDEO!!!!!!
I see you used some of Chuggaaconroy's footage for this countdown (Sledge says Scrap, the name of his TTYD's Yoshi)
Billy Bob Joe H A I L S C R A P .
I would just like to say Kudos to you, man. You've been uploading videos at a consistent basis that have never wavered in quality. I enjoy every video, even if I don't always agree with the entries.
the one dislike was Mimi
#2 was so unbelievable my friend thought it was a glitch... and threw away her game.
YO IS THAT AN UPLOAD FROM FAWFUL'S MINION?
Dude you went crazy over tubba blurbs and the train part
23:11 “Enough is ENOUGH! I HAVE HAD IT WITH THESE MOTHERF**KING SMORGS ON THIS MOTHERF**KING TRAIN!” Dang Logan calm down, I’m in a laughing fit!
Someone's been watching Snakes On A Plane
Would anyone play a fan-made spiritual successor to classic Paper Mario with different characters and a new story?
Norris4president only if it has Mario and the thousand year door mechanics
Moar Dimentio plz?
Pedro Gonzales How so?
This is where not including Colour Splash really shows. That was basically entirely cool moments.
NOTICE ME SENP-*shot for trying to get attention*
Wizzo Master Of Magic Your under arrest sir
Fawful's Galaxy YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE!!! *runs away*
Wizzo Master Of Magic **dead end**
#9 I remember playing that chapter in that game and the part where you had to run away from her was so scary for 8 year old me
Minion can you please do a collab with wambu?
Mr. Kawaii Face Ooooooooi
What is this now? Paper Mario Month?
Basically, yeah
I'd have to say #1 for me is when Doopliss takes over. You could let shadow Mario lay there for hours and not know what's up without pressing A. The eerie silence after he takes Mario's body, the harmless exterior yet hellish mindset, and the fate of living the rest of eternity as a shadow of your former self.
Great Video
Master Of Chaos what do you mean?
Well I'm just giving him support I like his content I don't want a debate or nothin
Master Of Chaos got em😂😂😂
Fawful's Galaxy what do you mean?
xRazza3 He called you out for not watching the whole video before commenting😂😂 but then again, its Fawful's Minion, is it ever going to be bad???
I never really understood the Smorgs. Like, why do they even exist? Why did they attack the Excess Express? Do they even think?
My favorite Paper Mario moment was when I turned Sticker Star off. Permanently.
UltOnUA-cam Get it it's funny because you didn't actually turn it off because you would have needed to play it and nobody here actually did
Oh, the fun police. My apologies officer. I didn't know that joke was above the use limit.
You seem like an easily bothered person. Is sarcasm in your dictionary?
UltOnUA-cam Is comedy in yours?
I like to think so. I found your first comment amusing.
what could the final countdown be?
Is color splash decent at the least?
Will Logan ever fail to make me smile?
These are questions that need answers.
Sticker star is the best.
+TheMarioManiac stay right there I'm calling the police!!!
The_Chicken_Was_To_ Water_Burnt Screw the police. Call the god damn FBI
Adrian Leonce
Forget the FBI! Call in the Military! The Navy! The ROYAL AIRFORCE!
TripleJump Eh, Sticker Star wasn't that bad...
I'm kidding CALL THE GHOST BUSTERS
*Color Splash
Kid: Ooooh, I can't wait to play Super Paper Mario!
*Plays Chapter 2 and makes it to the Mimi cutscene*
Kid: Okay, this getting creepy.
*Mimi breaks her neck and turns into her spider form*
Kid: HOLY CRAAAAAAAAAAAP!!!!!!!
Am I the only one who thought the thumbnail was Doopliss cowering in fear from Tubba Blubba?
I'm glad he doesn't even put sticker star or the stupid one on the Wii u
What are you talking about? There are only 3 Paper Mario games. ONLY 3! :)
ooops I goofed lol
Agreed.
"a dead guy, a jerk, a point where nothing happens, literally my whole life" uhhh Logan? dead guy?
Mimimimimimimimimimimimimimimi
Another fun moment is the moment you fight the Master's true form for the first time. Especially if you weren't spoiled on it.
Plus the moment Cortez in TTYD goes "Frick it I'm not some mamby pamby ghost!!"
Also, when Shadow Queen first appears.
