- In this video I show how I installed a Hughes Power Watch dog RV surge protector and auto power off device in our RV. Its a 50 amp device and was really simple to install. It also has a Bluetooth feature which allows you to monitor your electrical consumption and current power status. Now we don't have to worry about incorrectly wired, damaged and/or incorrect voltage pedestals which can cause thousands in damage to an RV electrical system. Also, because this one is installed in our electrical bay we don't have to worry about forgetting it or it getting stolen.

I think the top is the output to you rig and the input coed should be into the bottom.

Does is make any difference which wire you use black or red as leg 1?
No, but usually black would be line 1 and red line 2.
Does anyone know if the app is accurate on amp readings?
Yes its very accurate. I confirmed with a fieldpeice amp meter.
Did you wire it in before or after the transfer switch?
I wired it in before the switch!

I have one of the 50 AMP H and doesn't work very good and called customer service 5 times and so far mothing so I think customer service sucks
