This is the best showing of how to make a fishing knot on all of UA-cam.
These instructional gamefishing videos are gold for someone starting out
Matt ...by far you are my favorite fishin channel !!! Stuck in south florida but lovin your vids none the less !!! Thx mate.
that is the double san diego jam knot ..best knot i have ever used . line will break before the knot
What was at the other end of the sand Diego knot 1:36
what brand of snap swivel?
What type of line are you using ?
also, what is the loop to loop connection you would use with a windon if you were to use one
Hm, I think there was an all-in-one video in addition to those single videos, but I cannot find it anymore, has it been deleted/replaced by the separate videos?
Here it is mate, www.ultimatefishing.tv/home/video/142/getting-started-in-game-fishing
@@UltimateFishingTV Thanks mate. I'm binge watching your videos during these Covid times and I am learning so much! Its super high quality fantastic content!
Do you clip the lure right to the snap swivel? Or the split ring on the jig?
The snap swivel is to attach your leader and marlin lure onto.
@@UltimateFishingTV thank you
At about 0:30 into the video you talk about not liking the use of a wind on leader. I'm new to hollow core braid and big game fish here in Hawaii and I'm trying to settle this all in my head before finishing all of my reels up. IF I choose to use a wind on leader...do I still need a swivel in-line somewhere to prevent my lures from twisting my line all up while trolling or am I okay? Same question basically IF I am simply using 130 lb hollow core with 150 feet of 100 lb mono inserted 10 feet into the hollow core (versus just using a shorter wind-on leader) do I still need a swivel at some point in this setup for trolling with lures?
Hi Robert, The short answer is yes to both, when trolling lures you need to have a swivel. Most fishermen us large snap swivels so that you can change lures easily. Matt use's full length leaders, so there is no need for a wind on leader. Good luck out there.
Thanks!!!!
Wheres the fire? Like so many you tubes racing way to quick with the camera on. Its common thing where people seem to get nervous under a camera and tend to go way to fast
