Your point about slingback straps slipping and flopping is valid IF you don't have a bony heel! My bony heel gets instant blisters in a closed-heel shoe, but I NEVER have a slingback strap that slips off. Good thing to consider your own body, in other words.
If you're an Australian, you grow up with thongs/flip-flops... get your first pair when you learn to walk and a new pair every summer!!😂😂😂😂 now you can get little fancy flats and even little kitten heels with the toe piece....Fancy Thongs 😂😂
It's funny to see Birkenstocks being brought back in a big way. I had some of those basic styles many years ago when I suffered with Planter Fasciitis. They are very comfortable but I felt frumpy wearing them....now they are stylish! LOL! I did avoid the more "mannish" colors too and even had a pair with rhinestones on the buckles.
I want you to know that you are my favorite people. I look forward to your videos. They really make me feel happy. I live in chronic pain and your videos are so uplifting and inspiring. I have a classic wardrobe and try my best to look modern and put together every day…🇺🇸😀
I have a pair of ballet flats from FitFlops and they are cushioned great for knees, feet, and arches. I rather wear sketches than running shoes they look more polished. My go-to sandals are Birkenstocks, Miphestos, and Jack Rogers all summer long.
I agree 100%, especially about the slingbacks. The strap ALWAYS slips under my heel. I've just always thought I had weird feet. Love your beige mules. The problem with any flip flops "for me" is that my big toe has a tendency to migrate in to clench the toe piece, which was causing a bunion to appear. It stopped when I stopped wearing them. Go figure. 🤷♀ I miss them. As far as a running shoe goes, I bought a pair of Barefoot sneakers, which are very comfortable. Thanks for posting.
Not all ballet flats are equal - I’ve just invested in a pair of Vivaia ballet flats and they are the most comfortable shoes I’ve bought for a long time. Really supportive cushioned sole. First time out I wore them on a 40 minute walk and they feel like slippers. Because they’re stretchy I can even keep them on!! Environmentally friendly and washable too 😊
Yes that’s true. I have some Vivaia and they are very comfortable. I’ve done a few Vivaia videos before. Dream pairs are also very comfortable but I’m not sure if they do flats but their block heels are wonderful.
I won't be wearing mules, slides or anything without a back strap. I'm more likely to slide out of them and trip, and my feet ache from gripping to hold them on.
The brand Fit Flops are so comfortable if you have knee or foot problems. I fell down my stairs and broke both my legs in 4 places and these were all I could wear for a year. They come in many designs.
Moshulu make beautiful cork bed Birkenstock style sandals, so comfy. Their boots are amazing, if you like colourful footwear they are the best. Love your videos, being a woman of sixty two is great to see wearable clothes that don't date.
Thanks for the shoe roundup. Just to say, I love fitflop. Without them I wouldn’t be able to walk distances, yet they do have attractive modern styles. If you’re really having trouble with your feet, the micro wobble board soles are absolutely the best. No adverts just true. However an observation - do look at reviews particularly negative ones, for info on the sizing as sometimes, it can be a bit erratic and like most shoes, some suit different feet. Just my two penneth.
Birkenstock are not comfy for me so I bought an alternative Steve madden and soft moc they work great .i also don’t like the mesh flats but I do wear ballet flats
Have you been having a crafty gin 😂or is your tongue is not working today ? I’m referring to you not being able to pronounce your words 😂😂😂 loved all the shoes . I have some fitflpops ( my finger is finger tied ) they are comfy . I wear sketchers trainers ❤love them , I’m liking the slightly chunky soles on shoes still as they give height without heals ,these days I’m all for comfort . Great vid 😊
@@Myover50fashionlife yes , I see others mentioning how uncomfortable the tongue is, big mistake on Adidas part, there will be lots of them in the clearance stores in 6 months

My favorite flip flops are “Archies” brand. They are very comfortable!

Do you never get blisters from a slingback strap? I really suffer from rubbing so need no back at all.
I totally agree re ballet flats, not comfortable & they ruin the feet. I don’t usually find flip flops with a toe post comfortable 🤔
Try vionics. They're great

I love Mary Jane flats. But no mules or flip flops

Love sketchers...have about 6pair, they are usually $100+ each in Australia, but last for ages, arch support and memory-foam innersoles.
The BURGA sunglasses you chose suit you so well 🥹🖤
Thank you. I’m really pleased with them .

Before we had sunglasses people wore SUN HATS. I wear glasses and a sunhat all Spring through to Autumn!!!

I always make sure my ballet flats are not totally flat and find them the most comfortable shoes to wear. Hate Birkenstocks!!! Way back when and now!!
I would say Clarks is now a premium brand in the UK as well. The prices are now ridiculously high.
Clark flip flop are extremely comfy my mom wears them and she is 92 years old lol I have four colours and my mom has three colours we love them
It does seem once you've found them you just buy more , they are so good
Try Allbirds ballet flats! I can walk in them all day. Or Vionic and Vivaia.
I won't be wearing mules, slides or anything without a back strap. I'm more likely to slide out of them and trip, and my feet ache from gripping to hold them on.

Oh my god what an awful fall!
Terrible fall. You must still have a lot of aches from that.

Thanks for the tips!
Love fitflops, have loads! Also their sneakers and trainers.
Loafers for me in suede or light wright shoe no to shoes with no backs in
The sunglasses look great on you! I usually wear flats, but just bought new wedges, and they're very comfortable.
Mlne were comfortable too..😀.
Just bought a pair of Sambas and love them! 19:21

Love Fit Flop, I have 3 pairs ✨
Hi kim
I always find Birkenstocks too wide for my feet unfortunately ✨
Try the Fatface ones. They seem slimmer
@@Myover50fashionlife I will, thank you
Help! I need comfortable shoes for lots of walking but I don't want to wear tennis shoes. on my trip. Any suggestions? Thanks!!
Try dream pairs on Amazon. So comfy. Also sketchers.
Love the blush colored sunglasses on you!
Oh thank you!
Birkenstock forever! These will always be my favourite shoe. They are so comfortable and last forever 😊
Birkenstock are not comfy for me so I bought an alternative Steve madden and soft moc they work great .i also don’t like the mesh flats but I do wear ballet flats
Birki now have soft bed now ive noticed so i think theyve heard us say we want more sponginess. I love my new soft Fatface ones

The Karen Milan ones have metal work on and they aren’t cheap 😳

Thank you
Actually i think i do that...have things for ages and then think, nah, it wont be back, donate it, and next season..... well!! Bugger Me!! Its back!!
😂
Exactly
I’d rather wear heals than ballet flats.
Yes me too
Mules no good going down hills throw you forward then blisters
Talking ‘ Addidas’ they have now put a plastic like tongue in their Gazelle trainers , it is so uncomfortable
It sounds uncomfortable. There won't be any wearing in either so it won't soften over time like leather
@@Myover50fashionlife yes , I see others mentioning how uncomfortable the tongue is, big mistake on Adidas part, there will be lots of them in the clearance stores in 6 months
Birkenstocks never look feminine. I don't care how comfortable they are . There are other brands just as comfortable that look better.
I totally agree. Unless I am a dead body nobody will ever see me wearing these…
I don’t like mules at all ..
