Luna is my 2013 self-converted sprinter van that I spent about 6 months taking from a messy work van to my very own tiny home on wheels!

Oh man, excellent track guide with great notes and reference points. This is fantastic track, high commitment and very rewarding.
I subscribed a year ago to live vicariously through the ski season as you jetted around in your van, and enjoyed seeing you hit runs at resorts I'd been to (and many more I hadn't - the heliskiing in Utah was epic!).
I had no idea you raced - another passion of mine (more so than skiing) - what a delight to find this video in my feed! Can't wait to see footage from Laguna or Thunderhill in future. Cheers!
awesome to hear man! we wont be at laguna or thunderhill this year but those are both awesome tracks!
@@LucasCatania17 I haven't ventured out of NorCal to drive yet, but some day (hopefully before I'm too old and/or broke). I see you have a bunch of epic tracks on the TC schedule ahead - best of luck at NOLA and beyond!
EXCELLENT THANK YOU!!!!!
Just ran that configuration this weekend. I wish I had seen this before. Very helpful as I was also struggling at bit with T6.
This is actually very interesting; I've only ever raced this track in Forza lol. Actually, hearing what you have to account for (like that very light brake before the first hill) and pay attention to while racing is really cool. Forza simply cannot simulate some of these things in game vs real life!
Enjoyed the speed lap breakdown, with telemetry included! Well done video, and looking forward to the footage out of NOLA. Keep shreddin' those rear tires. Let's goo!
thanks bro! glad you liked it. VIR june 16th-18th!
@@LucasCatania17 Let's go!! See you there man!
I can see how this could become addictive. very intense👍
thanks ray!
Let's freaking go
let go
You are making me want to go drive on the track again.
As for it not being the best representation of the the turn, it was definitely the more exiting representation of the turn.
agree! definitely a cool corner in the lap with the honda.
I have always wanted to do some runs at Sonoma. They have some good corses you can take there , they will get you in a couple different cars .
Never wanted to race , but I love driving fast .
its a fun track and a beautiful area. definitely worth hopping on the track if you ever have the opportunity!
Heading to snowbird Thursday and they’re supposed to get a little snow
What should I make sure to hit while I’m on the mountain
Question. I notice some entrys into corners where your transitions from throttle to breaking isnt instant, like turn 7. Is that an active choice for tire preservation? Or what's the reasoning behind like coasting a bit before braking?
i was trying to find the entries that you were referring to and didnt really see it. maybe turn 7b? i think the only reason why im doing that is to ensure that i dont overcharge the entry of the corner. focusing more on the exit of the corner rather than drive too deep on the entry i guess. good observation though dude
@@LucasCatania17 o I see. Yeah it was 7b at 18 min.
Great break down of how to do a fast lap. You and Colin Garret(the other fast BMW) had a great dice in the first race, the Honda tried to hang with but faded. But what did that Honda do in Race 2 that it had a .75/sec/lap on the field. That looked suspicious. Keep up the fast pace.
thanks peter. should be a good battle this season all year with garret. hopefully they make some adjustments with the honda or the bmw to bring them closer.
Full throttle
The Honda's being a full second faster needs to be addressed. This is supposed to be a driver's series not a car manufacturer's series. Once this gets leveled out I bet you'll be on the top step more than once.
We don't know what the tire situation was. If racers uses new tires in the first race they were on those used tires for the second race. If a racer waited until the second race to use his new tires, he had an advantage depending on the track. It's called tactics.
we'll see. its not a spec racing series so id argue it is a bit more of a manufacturer's series now with the introduction of the honda. with that being said, hopefully they continue balancing the performance between the two cars to make them a bit closer.
regarding the tires - in race 1, me and the other BMW used new tires so we had to use our qualifying scrub tires for race 2. however, because the honda is FWD - they put 2 new tires just on the front each race. so another advantage the honda has over the BMW is that they will have sticker (new) tires on their traction/steer tires for every race throughout the weekend.
Nice try honda😂
it was a valiant effort
