You need smooth set to disable in Steam VR settings and have reprojection on..that is why they are not getting 120 or even 90 fps because of the settings I just explained
These things are pretty sturdy and fairly robust, but since you put it together yourself, you have to make sure certain certain bolts are torqued down. I even replaced the main u-joint bolts with stronger ones. If your pretty handy with things and like to make/customize things to your liking, its great. If you're not very handy and plan on just throwing it together, you might want to look elsewhere. The only issues I've had with the rig apart from tweaking things the first week I got it is the arduino drivers, or the motor controllers tend to burn out if your motion profile is way too aggressive and encounters lots of clipping. The drivers are found in the control box and they're fairly easy to change out; they're $10 a piece. Other than that, I've never had issue with the rig, and I've had it for almost 3 years. With that being said, motion for me is as important as VR for sim racing. I wouldn't be able to do without one or the other. Getting the motion profiles just right takes some time, but once you get it right, its amazing. Join the DOFreality user group on FB. They are a great bunch and the group is very helpful. They can also help you make up your mind. Also the programmers for the motion software (SRS) are a part of the group and always willing to help. They just released a new update for their software with and it better than ever. I plan on doing some more overlay videos showing the rig in motion in the near future. Cheers and good luck!
Hey man, I'm running similar specs to you (5700XT and 3700X) and just got my valve index a few days ago. I can barely read anything in AC and ACC doesnt look half as good as this, along with tearing and blurryness at distance. Can you tell me settings, tips, helpful links or anything to get me to the point where I'm not regretting my purchase?
WHAT A FINISH!!!!! GREAT !!!!! Thx 4 this Video. The Index is mine :)
5:35 the invisible Audi appears in the mirror
That's how really see through the lens?
So smooth! How!? I saw a lot vr videos with 30xxrtx and there are only 45fps and poor video settings.
Looks like you turn fov up to 120 degree and use TrackIR )))
