I sub to KEXP for those one or two times a year when an artist performs and takes me by surprise. I think this is one of those times.
her entire discography is insanely good. there’s a reason why elton john reached out to rina to duet her song (chosen family). she’ll be dropping a new album on september 16th and i highly recommend you to check out some of her other tracks!!! especially her new single, hold the girl

I hate this sort of shit. Maybe it "sounds just like the record" because it IS the record, with the drummer, acoustic guitarist and singer performing along. I don't see a band in the studio but I hear electric guitar, bass, background vocals, keyboards...The performance in the video is pretty much a faux performance, one step from the old American Bandstand lip-syncing to the record.
BTW, proper grammar and punctuation are our friends.

How many vocals do we hear ? How is this live? Sure she looks gorgeous but I am here to hear real music made.
she used pre recorded backing vocals everything else is live sooo i dont get your point.
literally every single artist does that when they don't have enough singers on stage to help recreate them.
I feel that the live voice is very clear to notice? Yes there are adlibs in the chorus and Clarence Clarity's harmonies through the track but that is pretty standart?

seriously. the drums sound soooo out of place lmfao. And her little changes in the vocals are so, so, so bad. the acoustic guitar sounds lame too. idk. wow. One of the best pop songs ever though, the album version. Awesome music video too. Gives me chills.
