    Thank you for the way you explain these things that at first glance appear to come from outer space. Electrical work used to scare me because it was all book work. I am and always have been a person who learns by getting hands on. Especially when the one who has the knowledge can articulate it in a way that is understandable. You have a way of saying it as well as metaphorically painting a picture that makes the outcome of the description crystal clear. Your encloses are so clean and I've always learned just exactly what I was looking for if you have an explanation for a particular issue I may be experiencing. Or like this video, just gaining a bit more knowledge for later on down the road where itll come in handy no doubt. Thank you man because that's a gift you've got when you can reach people without putting them to sleep. Keep up the clean work my friend and you already know what them haters do. I respect your opinion and the work you do man. Look forward to seeing what the future holds. Respect...

    • @imdbtruth

      That's funny, I just made a comment about about my MRX-M240 creating 2400 Watts at 2ohm, but only 1000 Watts at 1ohm. The MRX series was a great line of amps though!

    • @Tekjive
      @Tekjive 2 роки тому

      @@imdbtruth ya I don’t know why they did that, maybe to give it some ohm breathing room I guess? Alpine usually isn’t even rated @1ohm, which is a shame. There’s mods for that amp that unlock its full 1ohm potential, but you lose safety features ...still trying to find an MRX-M240 myself lol >.< M110 holding me down for now and it’s been great

      alpine sub amps are often fullbridge people dont realize that.
      same with jl slash jbl and tons of others

    • @JViello
      @JViello 2 роки тому +5

      Nah, it has everything to do with current. To move a ton of current with lower voltage it creates a lot of heat and stresses components vs high voltage and lower current. (Higher ohm load) If sonic purity had *ANYTHING* to do with speaker load, Soundstream would have never been recognized as one of the best sounding amp...while being 1/8th ohm stable. IF an amp loses SQ while running a low amp load, it's simply because the architecture of the amp is making is unstable.
      Watts are watts. 100w comes from 10 amps @100 volts, or 100amps @ 10 volts. Some applications would require high voltage and low current, and others would work better with high current and low voltage. That's all. No offense to the creator of this vid, but he's way off...or at least in realizing why/how that low impedance load sounds worse.

    Hey bro, I am new to your channel, I am enjoying this. I have been a car audio hobbyist for years. I’ve always been fascinated by the way impedance and power worked, even though they were rated for 1ohm I have witnessed or know of the death of many amps and woofer, unless they’re really well built , because what people may not know is that impedance can change with different frequencies within a song. It’s why I always liked sticking with 4/2 ohm minimum loads. Though I wasn’t hitting as loud and “ringing “as everyone else, but I guess it’s why I still have amps around that have survived 25 plus years. Anyhow brother you’re teaching gems 👍🏽👍🏽🔥🔥🔥

    Just seen this the first time. Honestly boss.. every way you explained clicking every step with ya.. I made my mind up what to do.. I’m keeping my 4 kickers 15 comp at out at 4 ohms and on a seperate amp for the 2 l7s and 2ohms to help control it all.. but 💯on every way you used your explanations.. faucet open/tricking and dripping.. and the control of the power for 4 ohm better than that of a 2 then a 1.. and the speaker stops on a dime at 4 and it stronger but wilder at 1 ohm.. so more control is way better if you have the power watt size to cover the watts at 4 ohms.. but you have to suplimate the power with well needed control..
    more movement.. more friction.. less life too.. the best in the middle.. straight up this is the best informed hit on every point I needed to look for when I hit this video.. I will support.. you are 2decks 4 aces in my book.. thank you and I apologize for the book k just wrote on your comments.. and trust I never comment.. but I had to applaud more than a like.. keep explaining the ways you do.. I can’t wait to see more videos.. but the rest will not be this long.. haha. Thank you sir much respect!!

    This video is 100 times more useful than trying different stuff out experimentation. I am building many custom devices for a bicycle siren handlebars alarm. I don’t want a bell on my bike I actually want a big subwoofer with obnoxious loud & noisy alarm. If my ohms load is too low impedance the transistors might run too hot; these transistors in A-B setup are fed a square wave signal from many 8 pin timer chips

    I enjoy that you give us the information at 4 ohm so the message is controlled. Some professors give their information at 1ohm and I need a nap. 😂. Man, what a great lesson. The timing is perfect. My Audio Control lc1.800 just dropped in volume by 75%. No codes or lights. While it goes out for repair, I'm going to replace it with a Rockford Fosgate T1000-1bdCP. It far more amp than what I need for my JL Audio Stealth box with two 10w1v3's but I want them to be as clean as possible and I can run them of that amp at 4ohms and still have power on tap. Plus it leaves me with options for whatever SQ setup I want.

    Today I was picking a dual cone subwoofer, and I choose the 4 ohm over the 2 ohm cause I heard a significant difference in musical notes,
    I had to make a connection at 2 ohms instead of 4 ohm cause the amp gets out only 300 rms on 4 ohm while the sub is 600 rms.

I will be 100 percent honest this was the best 20 minutes of any video I watched today. I just purchased two scar ddx 12” D2 “ 2ohms”. I am going to wire both subs for a final impedance of 2ohms. I don’t think I could get 1 ohm out of two 2ohm subs. The amp does say it can run 1ohm
    The amp is the Skar rp2000

      Same I was going to swap with D4s but looks like better move to just stay at 2ohms w the D2s

    I thought I was the only one who thought like this. I like to run huge class d amps (that are complete overkill) at 4 or even 8ohms on a single sub for sound Q purposes. Example I got an Orion XTR2500.1d on a single Soundqubed hds3.2 10” D2 wired at 4ohms 1.6 cubed box tuned to. 33Hz. Sounds fantastic. Great video MBE👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

      This is exactly what I do. Easier on your alternator and won't heat your components up nearly as much.

    True, I can here the difference as well, I've always loved the way 2ohm and 4ohm sounds. If they want more power, save up for an amp that does 2 to 3x more power than what your subs require. Makes a huge difference.

      THD is increased with lower ohms. (More distortion)

      I need some technical advice if I explain my ohms situation and confusion with amp and speaker setup can anyone here give me perfect advice please? My sub is wired in a 1 ohm way and I think it might not be best now Thanks

      I run 2 10" Kicker L7 600 Watt RMS dual 4 ohm coils wired to 2 ohm. Running an NVX NAD 104 ($160). GETTING 1250 WATTS at 2 ohm, ported box. People shake their heads when I tell them it's only 2 10s at 1200 Watt 😊

      @@DJBLESSDUA-cam has ALLLLLOT of dyno tests for various amps. Give actual RMS power at 1,2 & 4 ohms. Remember if you're running 2 600 Watt Subs at 1 ohm, you need a 1200 Watt RMS amp. I prefer 2 ohm. Powerful and less distorted.

    Funny you make this video , I have run into this recently, where at 4ohm the sound so much more accurate it just sounds like its Hitting much harder, that draw on the electrical at 1ohm demands those upgrades.
    Yet I still run mine at 1ohm . Haha

    I was running an Deaf Bonce Avatar 3000 Watt 12" sub with 1 Ohm DVCs at .5 Ohms in parallel. It sounded nasty. I rewired it in series to 2 Ohm. OMG...sounds so much better! The sub is pushed by a Taramps Smart 3 Bass. So, I can get 3000 watts at .5 Ohms or 2 Ohms. Mr. MBE speaks TRUTH!

    Ice been doing *personal* custom audio for 25+ years, always been the goto guy for friends from 7th or 8th grade til now having a kid out imof college. All I'm saying is I've got a pretty good understanding of audio systems, and pretty good idea how electricity works from engineering courses in high school and college. Point is, well Saud, great points, all valid; but I was so lost by the end I closed youtube and ordered a new inline water heater, new garden hose handles, a lift pump for master bedroom shower upstairs and emailed the city about enlarging the plumbing from street to house. This video has already cost me 12,000 dollars 😂 good job brother. Could be a politician, and all in good fun, I hope you know that. ❤

    I just added an MBE enclosure to my “Bucket” list for my next audio build. I’m in California and plan to drive to MBE and pickup the enclosure personally. I hope to do this road trip within the next 6 months.
