@@toxictermin5253Old movies don't always stick with me (as a person born in 2000). I watched the og version but it just doesn't feel as good as billu because old movies have a different way of conveying emotion... Irfan sir's acting felt heart touching compared to Og mc ( actors name I don't know )

I think it’s interesting that y’all fully believing in Irfan. When I first watched the movie I had the assumption that he doesn’t wanna meet SRK coz he was never his friend so he was just bluffing all the way
wow but i felt the same thing they felt on first wacth. Like he was shown as a very honest man in beginning so i believed it to be true but just that he was poor so never wanted to face him. But even then what makes it interesting is tht it keeps u curious of how the movie might end.

Irfan❤ The original movie in malayalam has mamootty giving that emotional speech at the end which literally carried the movie to a diff height. I wish instead of sharukh it was someone who could pull off realistic acting. May be if a stars then hrithik or or ranbir

Mammoth fanboys reached the 2nd part as well. Yes this is a remake, but Irfan made it 100 times better than your 70 year old Woolly Mammoth.
And these kinds of remakes donot happen without proper formalities. So ask your greedy Malayalam directors not the audience, why he agreed to sold the rights.
Tbh in the 70s, most of the Hindi movies were remakes of Bengali cinema, but no Bengali cried like Malayalis do. Ig the fear of loosing the little good they have is too big

@@KrishanKumar-ec1ch Priyadarshan has removed the beautiful complexity of the minor characters. The school headmistress played by KPAC Lalita had a beautiful character arc of her own. OM puri reprised innocent who in the Malayalam version had a complex arrogance about him. The producers in bollywood force Priyadarshin to remove all that beauty and just make them kne dimensional. I think Malayalam version rules, Tamil holds due to santhanam and Hindi version is a disservice to the concept.
