Beautiful sounding instrument! That was a surprise to see Lucas on here. I play an Ozark banjo. It was built by Lucas and traded to his father Scott, as part of a payment for a pickup truck. Lol
I've been a fan of Lucas since his teenage years. My mother almost bought the property next to his dads music store years ago (actually I recon that would have been a year or 3 before Scott bought the store).
You talked about him marrying Eden who plays fiddle, but his mother plays fiddle also. Shes the fiddle instructor at their music store. Her classes are on the front porch on nice weather days.

It’s so inspirational. I meet this gentleman 2 weeks ago and it was a great time. He is a legend and he inspired me to come back to my guitar to play.
Thanks 🙏🏽 long life to everyone!

I am the proud owner of a Rickard Resophonic Banjo which I bought from Bill and Sean at their Aurora factory several years ago. What a magnificent instrument it is. I played everything in the shop but I already had bluegrass and open back banjos so I had to have the reso’s unique sound. I am in awe of Bills perseverance, artistry and the superb organization he has put together. I must admit I almost asked if he was hiring…what a way to spend an active retirement. Just a note about Allison de Groot, she is from Winnipeg. She plays with Bruce Molsky and Stash Wyslouch in Molsky’s Mountain Drifters, and plays in the Goodbye Girls and also plays with Tatiana Hargreaves.

It’s called “You must come in at the door” I believe. This song was also recorded by Doc Watson.
