Confession- I'm not good with names! I posted this yesterday, but got the names Isaac and Jacob mixed up in one of the questions. A bit important on a Bible quiz all about Isaac, Esau and Jacob! I've corrected that section. Thank you to the person who graciously pointed out my error. If you watched this yesterday, either pass it by, or see if you can spot the difference!😄
I love watching these quizzes! I have noticed that when God is doing something he's going for the full monty long run and not just for the moment. Aren't we blessed!
The story of Jacob and Esau is both sad and hopeful. It is sad, as you have pointed out, because it is filled with lies, anger, jealousy, and rage. It is hopeful because we see that even when going through all these challenges, God was preparing Jacob for his destiny. I was blessed to have gotten all the answers correct. The thought to repay evil with evil has most certainly come to my mind. But I am not only grateful that God has blessed me with a kind spirit but even more so that I came to trust in Jesus when I was a child. I was taught in the ways of the Lord since I was young. And even in my lowest times God has always helped me to not respond in the wrong way. God bless you!
@@UnboxTheBible, it is my pleasure. Actually, I am certain it does this. God is always faithful. And He is as faithful now as He was the day He created this Earth and all of us. And what is best is that we can learn from them. Paul said as much. He said they were given for examples. Take care and God bless!
Many Bible quizzes set us up for wrong answers by ambiguous wording of questions. The questions here were perfect, not easy, but fair to the person answering. I got them all right.
Sorry 😢 I found an error in Question number 5. You got the names turned around on this one as well. You said “Esau give to Jacob”, but it should be “Jacob give to Esau.” Esau “despised” his own birthright by accepting “bread and pottage of lentils” from Jacob. Genesis 25:34. My pastors always encouraged us to even read behind them. So hopefully this will encourage your subscribers or listeners to do the same. Study for themselves. This ( online Bible quizzes) is just for fun for me and I know people make errors, including myself self.
Because of Jacob's mother, he was able to get the birthright away from Esau, who didn't understand its value. When Esau found out that Jacob was returning after 21 years, Esau went to kill him. But when Jacob offered all of his wealth and family, Esau's heart melted and forgave Esau. This was providentially historic because they, together, restored what Cain and Abel were supposed to have done. That is why both Jacob and Esau are victorious brothers in God's providence.
You should never pay evil for evill if someone does something wrong or hurt you for that matter pay them back with kindness and goodness show them you are the better and bigger person. Well that's just my opìnion anyway.
Not too bad. The bible references are good. A little commentary to go with them would be good too. #5 This exchange is more important than most people realize. It is true that Jacob will get a double share of Isaac's estate, it also means that Rebekah will be his charge when Isaac dies. The patriarch of the family, which Jacob will become, has the duty of caring for his mother should she survive Isaac. Since Esau treated Rebekah and Jacob "roughly", cruelly in some translations, you can begin to see Jacobs interest. This paternal responsibility thing shows up in a lot of other places, John's gospel has it quite prevalent. #7 More like roasted meat. Hence how Jacob can trick Isaac with roasted lamb. #10 Semi-bonus question: Who (yes I said who) is the staircase? Hint: Jhn 1:51. #13 13 that we know of. If Dinah had not been raped, we wouldn't know of her either. #20 Hence why the lineage passes to Judah. Unjust violence disqualifies Simeon and Levi, just as it did with Esau. Levi though will redeem them selves in Exodus.

Confusing a few names here and there is not a big deal, remember the story and what can be learned from it. That is the important part.

It is important how we live with people in this world . Our eternal life and a relationship with our heavenly Father depend on it.

No the question is correct. Read it again. Esau gave Jacob his birth right for food
