The core overload is a game override button which explodes everything in the game and unanchors them until there's just explosions, no ground and no way to survive without a fly tool or admin commands.
However they replaced the script to something else so it doesn't literally make the escape pods self destruct out of nowhere
Yeah, its slightly cringy nowadays (according to some ppl. personally i dont think its that bad)

I do know some people uncopylock ucc2 and try to make it better with their own custom made scripts and building a better version of it like it would look like a core game in 2023 with a lot of great features

Hello. I am Almonty7655 Developer and owner of HTCC. I will admit it is old PBCC but I heavily modified it in places. You also missed out features like the VHS tapes and finding and inputting the codes that can be found scattered throught the facility. I feel upset by your criticism of the game but of course people have their own opinions. To add on, a lot of the stuff I added was scripted myself (Yes I know the lifts are FMs) but everything else like the servers, core system, etc I made from scratch. It can be started if you follow a big procedure to put in all the codes and get things running but currently startup itself can only be done if an admin unlocks the start button due to the fact that it is still WIP. I still need to script the meltdown sequence.
Oh no, I'm so sorry if it offended you, Its not too bad, but I felt like adding some terrible comedy in it to try making it less critical. I think I did miss out alot tbf, I got quite lazy at the end of editing and there was so much more to the game than in the video. But it's a surprise that the dev has commented.
@@thislazytrash It's alright. If you do decide to re-visit HTCC if you're in at the right time I or Hayden might join and could show you around and maybe even a startup. But as you explore keep an eye out for the easter eggs and references I like to leave around the map.

One major sin most CCGs have (other than the rip-offs that use uncopylocked games with little to no changes) is how large and/or boring they are. Big facilities are great if you invest time in detailing them and provide easily navigable destinations through tools like maps and signs.
Additionally, I would argue that most CCGs turn into a "Freemodel mash" where developers rely heavily on freemodels. This not only gives the games an unprofessional appearance but also eliminates any sense of style.
Most CCGs are uncopylocked anyway, then the dev would add some weird ahh details (e.g lincoln loud morphs for some reason) and then call it a game.
I guess we should all know that developing something simple like a core game can take months or years, and some arent that bothered in taking that much time.
@@thislazytrash Indeed, it is not uncommon to encounter young developers who are still in the process of mastering the use of the studio. From their perspective, uncopylocked games can serve as a convenient starting point, offering a simpler path for them to begin their own game development journey.
I also heavily agree that crafting high-quality core games like QSERF requires a substantial investment of time, which many people may lack the will to invest. Personally, as I work on my own core game, I have come to realize that even after months of development, it is not yet at a stage where it can be released as a beta version.

@@Canyobilitythis is true, as someone however who is also currently working on a core game, me and my friend/scripter, it does take a lot of time to develop a core game, detail is important, and figuring out how to use custom models is essential to creating a good core game, and I’M STILL ANNOYED AT THE FACT WHEN YOU MAKE SOMETHING LINKED IT CHANGES THE TEXTURE TO THE FIRST DAMN PART THAT YOU SELECTED… WHY
It's annoying how the good core games are way harder to find
Usually it's easy to find the high quality ones
good core games:
-most if not all innovation inc. games
-most core games which use a unique core instead of the ball core
-the games which use their own name
-the ones with multiple developers
