    432 is a roughing insert
    431 is a finishing insert

    Thank you my good man. We touch tool #2 as is our master tool and the rest of the tools follow. We touch the other tools if we change the fixtures or different type of jobs. We touch, z face measure, -.0315, enter.

    Can you explain quadrants a little better, what or why is that corner 3?

      ​@@Gendo3s2k quadrants determine what side of the part you're cutting on and whether or not you're cutting on the OD or ID of the part

    haha I have used an SL20 for more than 15 years.. But i still didnt know u could type T2 and turret fwd .. I have always typed it in mdi and pressed start ;D

    What if the part you are machining is bigger and you dont have big enough micrometer to measure diameter? Is there any other way to measure offsets on bigger parts? Thanks

      To set your offset on X axis you can use any diameter you want, just find something close to the mic you're using to measure.Once you've done you X you don't have to do it for every part your turning.
