The smile when you put the level on the bracket said it all. If Del is happy with the results you can bet it's perfect. That belt sander is a great addition to the tool arsenal in the shop. The fact that it is a work of art makes it even better. It's cool seeing each addition to the bike without knowing what final result you have in mind. Many thanks and a great weekend to you and Penny. ❤👍👍

I'm currently streetfigehtering my gen1 busa. Mine looks a little different but one thing I will say is a company in Germany called Gimbel do special air intakes for street fightered hayabusa's for me it made it look more aggressive. Definitely worth a look

  • @allenhuling598

Nice result on this bracket so far, I'm looking forward to how you further support it and how you will tidy up all the wiring/hoses, etc! Grease-board quote was spot on again today! Snow and ice right into 4 days of monsoon wind/rain is fizzling out today....hope to start logging some miles this next week! Feels like it's been a long Winter! Cheers to you both!

First I thought: These lampes are huge. But then the Busa is huge, too. So it's a perfect fit. Yellowish Cibié like in 1970/80ies endurance racing looks would be great. Happy days, Günter/Nürnberg

Hi Del & Penny. Excellent video, job well done mate, looking good . Hope all is well with you both and you are starting to get some bike riding weather, still the same over this side 30C days. Take care and have a relaxing weekend. Cheers

Alright del n penny, great short series on the busa, coming along sweet 👍💯 i havnt seen one in your workshop but a fabrication table would help, when your welding these projects you can clamp the suckers to the table to prevent any warpage/distortion to a min, there a godsend del, there are small ones available like tabletop, keep up the cracking work mate it will soon be warm enough for a cruise!! 🥶😰🌧️🌝 Not warm enough yet for me haha

Having had 3 malts in lieu of my meds, may I suggest that old stainless spokes make excellent 'eyelashes'. Curled, knurled & dipped end on in truckbed paint for the 'mascara' . . . so cool : )xx

I'm getting early Triumph's street/speed triple vibes from those twin headlights 😅

  • @jimcroft9891

Excellent Del, i prefer bikes like the Harley etc but i am finding this build interesting.

She's coming along great! Man, that sander is the Bee's Knees! It has probably paid for itself in time saved already, plus, it just looks wicked kewl! I was curious if you were going to go for "level mount unladen" or "level mount when mounted". Of course, the lights will be aimed, but I was curious which way you would go when leveling the bottom of the mount. I like the way you chose; level unloaded, since YOU will only see it when you are off the bike. Just like you can see that you absolutely made the right choice to move your clocks over, since it would have been noticeable at times like when you had the camera shooting from behind the tail when you were strapping her down. I noticed that my eye, without even thinking, was drawn to how the centers of the clock, the bar mounts, and the general overview of the bike were all in agreement. That 2.5 mils off from before the correction would be much more noticeable from the long view; the farther back, the bigger the difference. She is indeed coming along great! Enjoy the weekend, D&P. Now, I'm thinking that it might be time to pull the boots on and go listen to the music :)

Great looking headlights pal, suits the bike

  • @LRJones10

That satisfaction chuckle! Love it! Great work buddy 👊🏼

  • @OvervoltedMinds

I dig the concept, not gonna lie. Great work! Question though, even if it seems you used quite a thick piece of steel, I am thinking that those headlights are sticking out enough that when you ride, they might wobble. Do you think another piece coming down from the clocks bracket to this one would give some extra strength and support? Of course, without disrupting the aesthetics

  • @Goldwing1500rider

Quite a challenge! I would suggest rounding the corners off as precautions not punching scrapping from injury in case. Otherwise looks great.

  • @__Max-oe6zm

Are you going to do a test ride video when it's finished?

  • @ObsessiveCarDetailer

absolutely spot on Del, we can see how pleased you are👍

  • @raywise

Great precision work Del, you make it look easy but I know its not. Coming together nicely.

  • @Dominic650s

The front looks a bit like the 2020 Triumph Rocket 3

  • @stevenmarry212

Just realised the cutouts on the clock mount look like sweep's ears from the sooty show🤣

  • @aaronuprichard9445

Presumably those switchgears are identical in height..
