I hear you ,one of my favorite woods hunting thumpers. The 375 winchester has basically gone extinct. I can't find brass ,Hornady has stopped making my favorite bullet for it ,at least there is the Sierra 200 gr. Jsp is still being made . All the while, its parent round the 38-55 is still being made . The 35 remington is also going the same route to extinction.
Greg Ritz just purchased TC from Smith and will be up and running soon. I have a 7/30 super 16, love it, and reform 30/30 brass works great. Bought my first Gen 1 in 1981.
yeah i saw the live stream. The question is whether or not they will be able to bring the 7-30 back since it is no longer avaliable as a factory round. If they bring it back in just the custom shop it will have a following like the 7mm TCU...and still be around, it was just convienant for people who do not reload to buy factory ammo. From what it sounded like they are going to focus on the popular and straightwalled rounds first. So i would expect 30-30, 44 mag, 45-70. 357 mag, 22 lr, 22 hornet, 223, 350 legend and the like in the Contender when i resurfaces...maybe in 2025. We shall see. As long as they make frames we can get barrels in whatever will work in the Contender from MGM, Bullberry, and others. We shall see in 2 years what the future holds. As long as i can get supplies i will continue to shoot the 7-30 in a Contender and my 375 Wn and others...
TC has been purchased and there is supposed to be an announcement tomorrow. Go check out their website. Here’s hoping they bring it all back or at least the core products to begin with.

Here is hoping...I have been shooting Contenders and TC muzzle loaders since the 90's. I hope things pan out.
