Being an overweight skater has enough challenges without letting other people's opinion of my body get to me. Heart your videos and your attitude ♥️♥️💕
Thank you so much for doing this. With roller skating becoming really popular on tik tok, Instagram, and other really vanity/image focused platforms, this is SUCH an important conversation to be having. ❤️
I just ordered my first pair of skates because of you! I recently had weight loss surgery and lost 130 pounds in a year. I’m smaller now than I ever have been so why not! You are so inspiring! I love your videos and your positive vibes!
We've had this conversation in person but I'll say it again I love roller skating I love the way it makes you feel but some of the hubris that goes on in the roller skate culture needs to die and makes it difficult to be in it. One of the first things I got told by an older male skater (not at your rink) that because I was "big girl" that judges would expect me to skate big. At the time I was a size 10/12 and 5'2". I didn't think I was "big" since I was the smallest I had ever been after being a size 26. That's too much stress to get injected into what for most people is a hobby.
This is so relevant right now especially for me. I’m just learning how to be thankful for what my body can do instead of being self conscious that my body doesn’t look perfect, trying to be more patient with myself when learning new stuff, and patting myself on the back when I’ve learned something new. Thanks for this!!!
Abby Nachman beautiful! That’s exactly what we all need to be doing. It can be difficult sometimes, so keep up the work and it shouldn’t become natural 🥰
I'm the most physically mature in my artistic club, but thank god that no one has ever told me to lower my leo's neckline. I'm sixteen this year, and the training leo i have is a turtle neck and a normal neckline one form my development coach. xD I just NEED the leo to have a longer skirt, i don't care about anything else.
Thanks so much for sharing this very important and personal aspect of skating (OR JUST BEING A WOMAN). I'm so sick of being judged by my body :( You are amazing, thanks for empowering young women! And of course this also counts for boys and men, everyone can feel insecure

Totally! Geez, I'm so sorry, that's ridiculous.
