I was so surprised to hear that you’ve had insecurities. You’re beautiful, intelligent, and so talented! I want to knit everything you design. We are always our own toughest critics.
Perception is everything. I wish you knew how we, as your viewers and fans, perceive you. You are someone we admire. You always look gorgeous and you have so much creativity. You clearly love your family and we can feel that half way round the world! Wishing you a happy 2021 and looking forward to knitting more of your lovely patterns. I wore my cashmere Hipster today as it is very very cold in NY right now.
You are so amazing! Such a joy to sit down and be a part of your world for a moment. Thank you for your honesty with all of us over how you have been feeling. From our point of view, you are stunning. You are amazing the way you are. You fill our needles with your amazing designs and our hearts with your kindness. Thank you for taking the time to come into our homes and sit with us a bit.
Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing because by doing so you allow others to do the same, and we build a world in which we can all be in the world together in a more authentic beautiful way. Knitting has saved me the last year, and I love seeing the beauty of wool and yarn and the craft that you produce. You are beautiful inside and out and thank your sharing!!!!! Your knitting journal brings joy to my world.
Thank you for doing your journals, Joji. You inspire me and comfort me as you share your knitting and personal experiences. You remind me that we’re all just doing our best. I appreciate your great work! Take care.
Hi Joji. Thank you for sharing your personal struggles. You are not alone as many of us can relate to the feelings you described. Life ebbs and flows and so do our feelings of being at peace or feeling unsettled and out of sorts. I hope you will find your equilibrium soon. I remember turning 40 and feeling absolutely shocked that it happened to me, LOL! I was going to forever be in my 30’s. I remember talking to my mom about it (she was turning 70 at that time) and she said to me that as you get older, you learn to accept your limitations more easily. I’m now as old as she was then, and I’m beginning to understand what she meant. I’m sending you big hugs, Joji. You are a bright star with a huge heart.
You are such a stunning and kind person! I hope you know what a blessing you are to the knitting community.
I love your podcasts! So glad to see you back and I love all of your designs. I wish I was a faster knitter! Be kind to yourself, you are a beautiful woman, inside and out!
Your skin and hair look so glowing and healthy. Thanks for your contribution to the community 👍 😀
I just turned 60 and feel very privileged. Getting older is denied many. You are so beautiful and talented and when you get around to seeing that you will have many happy years ahead. I love your work so much. Thank you for sharing it with us.
You are so beautiful! I loved hearing and seeing all your projects! I can’t wait for your socks pattern to be released! All of your knits are gorgeous and thank you for sharing your time with us!
Thank you for being so honest, open, and vulnerable in your feelings and your self image. I think we can all relate to what you shared. I am so glad that you are starting the year hopeful. I start it that way as well and I am excited about 2021 hopeful that things will settle down and not so much heartache in the world. 💕
Thank you for a lovely journal visit and so many beautiful projects to inspire our knitting. We appreciate your honesty and openness about your life journey. 2020 was a very hard year for so many folks all over the world. You are not alone in your struggles; many of us are there with you. Please know that my experience in my 78 years of life is that every decades gets better, as I am becoming less critical of myself and more accepting of the ups and downs of life. Please take wonderful care of yourself! We ❤️ you and your work!
I totally understand how you feel but in our I see you’re beautiful and we really appreciate your work!
We love your designs and products . Looking forward to the long vest and already bought the Licorice vest. Your life struggles are normal for us ladies. You have a beautiful soul. 🤩
I know we all have self doubt but we see you as beautiful and talented! So happy you are part of the yarn community.
I purchased three of your patterns lately. I got the Hipster, Hipster light and Winter Cowl. Beautiful and I appreciate your efforts. Getting older is hard. We have no control and that may be one of the issues. Hang is there. People all over the world think a lot of you. ❤️💐
I am so happy you are back on line; I have missed your journals. You have the best one of all of them on line. I am a slow knitter but I love it and really love seeing your patterns and projects. I admire your honesty and your efforts to make changes in your life to contribute to your own happiness and well being. Also, I love it when your Mom is with you on your podcasts. She is adorable and so are you!
Hugs from South Dakota, USA
As women, we always struggle with the age milestones. I too, struggled with 40. This year I turn 56. We are so hard on ourselves. I see a beautiful woman and an amazing knitter and designer. I just love your style and want to knit everything you design. Many in this community have a warm love for you. My wish for you is to be able to see, in yourself, what many others see in you. Just simply love yourself! Covid has been so hard on all of our psyche. So many of us feel the same sadness and isolation. Wishing you lots of extra love this year! 😘❤️🥰
I’m certain you are an extremely busy person. Make time for yourself and what you love doing. Everyone can feel ‘down’ and hard on themselves. Give yourself positive thoughts and try to keep the negative thoughts out! Our own bad thoughts play a big part on how we feel about ourselves. You are a beautiful person inside and out!! ❤️❤️❤️. I love the new projects!!
Hi Joji, I am enjoying the journal. You, and your patterns, and colors chosen are beautiful. I found each birthday ending with a zero difficult, even 20. Now I am 61 and have let myself go too much.. But I notice how much better I look if I catch myself in the mirror when I am happy. I hope you watch your journal. You go from beautiful to positively glowing in the end when your mood was happier.
Joji, I wish you could see yourself through our eyes. You are so beautiful, talented, creative, and intelligent! You have had us waiting at the edge of our seats for you to post your videos, photos, your website updates! You radiate love, passion and inspire all of us. I will pray that you begin to see and feel what we do when we see you
It was lovely to catch up with you again and see all your knitting projects, finished and in progress. Thank you for taking the time to catch up with us.
Thank you for sharing from your heart. I am so glad to hear how you have been, to feel connected, and to see your beautiful designs. ❤
It's such a pleasure to see you podcasting again!!! I'm sure it comes from all the community - we were waiting for you!!!
Thank you for this hour spent in your company and all the projects you shared!
You look great!
Take care
So happy to see you Joji!! You are beautiful inside and out!!! 2020 was such a hard year and I am so hopeful for this year to be different! We are all here for each other to lift each other up when we are down. Excited to see all the little new things you are working on! Keep staying safe.... sending big hugs! Enjoy all that wonderful sunshine!! ❤️
I appreciate your honesty and willing to be vulnerable very much. Speaking about our insecurities is so hard. Of course you are not only beautiful on the outside, but on the inside 💕
Thank you for the update. So glad you are all well (I hope that includes your mother too). I love your new designs! Stay safe!
Thank you for sharing your feelings. Many people struggle with their lack of self-esteem and I am sure it helps to know that even beautiful, kind people like you yourself have problems. Take care
Lovely watching you again and seeing your work...always excited to see another podcast from you 😀
I was so surprised to hear you are down on yourself. You're so lovely, it didn't occur to me that might be an issue for you. I am finding that the older I get, the more comfortable I am with my physical imperfections, even as there are more of them! Please know that your work brings such inspiration and enjoyment for those of us who love your patterns. Every day there is a new Joji release, I get a little burst of joy!
Beautiful Joji! Can’t even imagine you feeling down about yourself. Rest assured that most women would be more than pleased to have your looks.
Joji, you are not alone in how 2020 affected your self-confidence. You still accomplished sooooo much, professionally and personally, and you took care of your family too. Knitting kept me sane in 2020 and I want to thank you for all your knitting patterns. Here’s to a great new future for all of us! 💪👏👍😊
May God bless you and your family in all areas of your life. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent and gifts.
Joji - you have brought joy and sunshine to my cold, grey, rainy evening here in Ireland. You are so beautiful and your warmth and sparkle shine through every time I watch your journal. Please know that you are fabulous and so are your creations. I so look forward to seeing more knitting patterns and watching your journals through 2021. Take care of yourself ❤️
Thank you as always for sharing your personal journey. I am so grateful that you aren't afraid to talk about it. It helps others ❤ LOVE the new patterns!!
So happy to watch your journal. It brightens my day. 😊
We are blessed by your videos, we happily take you as you are Joji! None of us is perfect! 💕 Thank you for providing the updates and info on Joji & Co. Please continue to do so. I enjoy it.
I loved the vest you made. It was very lovely. When you were showing it, I had thought that the ribbing on the neck and armholes looked really good, then you explained how you were able to make them look so finished. I may have to learn how to do that technique myself! All of your projects were very nice!
I enjoy hearing about your new patterns and the yarns you use. I also like learning more about Argentina.
Enjoyed the podcast and looking forward to knitting some of your patterns in 2021. Appreciate the personal sharing around your confidence, I do understand and hope you are kind to yourself as you are to all of us in the knitting world. Blessings.
Loved seeing you today! You are a beautiful lady inside and out! Like that brioche sweater. Look forward to the pattern!
Joji, gracias por compartir un poco de tu vida, tus tejidos, y tus pensamientos con nosotros. Te mando un gran abrazo - de una Porteña en Canada!
The purple cowl is perfect. It is the type of project that is great to have to pick up when your brain is full from patterns and colorwork taxing projects. Sometimes I simply don’t have the energy, but want to knit, it is also beautiful.
This is the first podcast of yours that I've seen. My first thought? 'Wow, what a beautiful girl'.
Thank you for sharing. Your patterns are amazing. I wear cowl all winter indoors and out.
Your patterns are always so lovely! The vest is so stunning. I'm sure it will end up in my cart very soon. You are such an inspiration....talk gently to yourself. We all go through periods of our life that are lows. So glad to see you back. Much love & kindness.
This past year has been struggle for a lot of us. Keep strong... you are so talented! I love the hipster shawl ! I need to knit this! I hope you stay safe. Xoxoxo
If you are feeling down about turning 40, I'm going crazy thinking about turning 70....yikes!!!! Joji YOU are beautiful never doubt that for a moment,
I'll be 74 this April... feeling better and stronger than I did four years ago!
I’m laughing to myself...I turned 70 this year and never thought about being old until now. I’m still working but 70 is quite a journey. I think older women are discounted and under appreciated. Working on it though!
@@miriammiller5829 Something about the year 2020 changed that in me - before then I was never able to think of myself as
"old". I came out of it feeling...maybe more vulnerable? Today is my 74th birthday, and I'm achy from gardening (a new sport for me) but feeling pretty darn good about myself! Hope you get past your little slump too!
Don't beat yourself up about designing in fingering! You have a huge variety of new designs in all different weights, all gorgeous. I also live in a warmer climate and wear many more light fingering sweaters than the thicker garments suitable in northern colder climates. And I love the drape feel and fit of fingering garments. Just keep doing what comes naturally and whatever takes your fancy. You are too hard on yourself - accept the huge success you've achieved with your natural excellent taste.
Its so lovley to see you again joji. Thanks for sharing 🥰
Joji you are beautiful and inspirational, we are ALWAYS happy to see you!!
All of your projects are stunning.
You are your BEST features: Kind, Caring, Talented, Insightful and yes beautiful you and a very beautiful mind!!!!!!
Good to see you. Yes, happy 2020 is passed! Your patterns are beautiful! Waiting for buttons in the mail to totally finish my Night Out Cardigan! That vest will be on my list to make for sure! Stay safe😃
I turned 40 in November. You are so beautiful and such a talented designer. I am jealous of your tan colour! Keep knitting, you are awesome!
Love all your new ‘small’ designs. Hope we see more of you and your Mum in 2021. Keep safe X
Joji, you are smart, beautiful and so talented! Your knitting designs are so inspirational and I look forward to the cardigan and sweater patterns! And I am glad you and your family are healthy and enjoying summer.❤
🤗 was great to hear from you after a long while....take care...💕
I got lucky to be able to test your lightweight hipster shawl...so my 2020 ended better than it began😊...
and I also turned 40 this year in Jan...🥳
Dear Joji, I'm so sorry that you have been going thru such a hard time. You take whatever time you need to heal yourself. Trust that your wonderful Mom raised a wonderful daughter. 😃
Joji, I can totally understand how you feel. Know that you are loved. I’m glad to hear you try to get a grip on it and start 2021 with a feeling of renewed vigor. Whatever works!
I just found your podcast via your Instagram post. I was thinking about what an inspiration you are, the creative work you produce and you are beautiful,
while searching for your journal. Feeling vulnerable and sensitive with all the unrealistic images around us is normal. Do what makes you feel strong and joyful. 💕
Thank you for sharing so honestly about yourself. Truly authentic people are hard to come by, and I am grateful to know you. Others view us differently than we do ourselves. I see the magic you make with yarn and I aspire to be more like you! Darn postal service, wish I could send you some yarn!
Joji you are a beautiful person both inside and outside. And such a talented knitwear designer. I do understand how you feel though as I turned 50 in 2020 and felt those feelings as well. Delighted to hear you are back. I've missed your journal. You are one of my favorite knitwear designers!
I knitted you beautiful Terra Shawl , and I used a beautiful Yak Yarn from MYAK. The result is SO beautiful! thanks for your work.
Thanks so much for your Journal. I've missed watching you. Mental health is often taking for granted and when we struggle it's difficult to understand just why sometimes. I hope knitting can keep your spirits high and your mojo going. Looking forward to starting the Charles V-neck...perfect timing, I've been wanting to knit a v-neck just like that for some time now.
Joji - you are an inspiration to many people and I hear you about last year. It's like the year that shall not be named!! I remember feeling overwhelmed when I turned 40. That was almost 20 years ago and one thing for sure is that time flies. We all have our good days and we have our not so good days. My motto is attitude is everything!! You are a beautiful woman, and what you feel is totally ok. We are here to continue supporting you and admiring your stunning works of heart, your creative process in producing your gorgeous creations!! You are allowed some me-time and time off to recharge and reboot! I will sit in the 'dark' with you! I totally understand that feeling! Keep strong and keep being YOU! Lots of love from Cape Town, South Africa.
Happy Anniversary! I love the vest, so beautiful. I have yet to make a sweater, sticking mostly to scarves most of my knitting life, but I'm ready for an adventure, so doing my research before I begin, a vest might be a good start...putting my toe in the water. I also love the Summer Shawl. Looking forward to seeing it finished. The caramel socks are so lovely. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Thank you for sharing.
Joji, please don’t be so hard on yourself, you are a beautiful soul! Pretty inside and out! Love your Journal I have missed you. This has been a hard year on everyone, 2021 is going to be better! Hope your Mother is doing well.
Joji, you are so talented, amazing and beautiful !!!! So glad you are back wih a new Journal!
Hang in there. 2020 was a tough year for most of us- thankfully we all had our knitting to help us through it. Your designs certainly helped me!! Thank you!! Here’s to a more positive and productive year for us all.
You are an amazing woman! Embrace who and what you are. Practice self love and have positive thoughts.
Your designs are so well thought out. I hear you thinking about if it is something you would like to wear and how it can be worn. Many of your designs can be worn in more than one way. I think that is why we love them so much.
I particularly loved your vests. The long one with a tank top and summer capris and the purple with trousers or a skirt. That Brioche sweater belongs in my closet.
I am grateful to have my hobbies to keep me busy during this time of isolation. I am also thankful for people like you. You share your thoughts, plans, your life with us and because you do we can feel that we are not alone. And at the risk of being rude, I would like to add that if you were my daughter I would tell her to spend less time looking in the mirror and more time looking at other people. Soon you will see that we all have our little imperfections and you might also see how beautiful you are.
Joji, you are, just like the rest of us, only human. You are beautiful, kind, compassionate and very talented and I hope you find your way through this difficult time with self care and plenty of self compassion. You’re very inspiring and I hope you’re feeling a little better about yourself xxxx Elly
It's so good to see you again! You always look so stunning, you are much too hard on yourself. Remember self love. I am so excited about all the patterns coming! Already planning for the FALL KAL 2021! Sending you 🤗💗and 🙏.
We understand how you feel, whatever weight you are your beautiful but if you don’t feel happy in your body no amount of reassurance will help but just know however you are,we appreciate, respect and love you and your talent and you fantastic designs
I am sorry you had such a hard year. You were such an important part of my year. I enjoyed your podcasts and I knit my first sweater with your fall KAL. I hope you will feel more confident this year.
You know what’s the best? Knitting a Joji pattern while watching your podcast! I love all your work - i wish I could knit them all! I still need to work on some techniques and speed up tho! Thanks for being human and sharing your personal stories - that’s what makes you special. We can all relate.
Hi Joji, I am a new subscriber! UA-cam suggested your channel to me yesterday and I feel like I found clear spring water in the desert! I really appreciate your openness and I love your patterns. I have been spinning an alpaca-silk yarn on a drop spindle for a really long time (I am very slow) while keeping my eyes open for a pattern to use with the yarn. Up to now I could not find anything that I liked enough for my precious yarn. But now, in your one episode, I see at least two! And on top of all this joy, you are a fellow Southern Hemisphere person, so the seasons are the same, YAY! Regards from sunny and hot Cape Town, South Africa
Beautiful, Joji❣️❣️❣️ found you from the Grocery Girls & I’m so grateful❣️❤️❤️
I came across your website and podcasts and I just want to say, you are an inspiration to many. Your patterns are absolutely beautiful. I am surely going to try some of them. Keep up the good work! All the way from Namibia, Africa.
You are so talented and such a beautiful and sweet human being! Sending Love to you and yours 🧶✨🧡💛💐
You are beautiful.... and a wonderful designer! Just purchased your two hipster shawls!
I'm so glad you made a new journal podcast, so enjoyable. Sorry you have felt down. You are so pretty. I can't imagine if you looked even better. As women, we can be hard on ourselves. I love what you do. Thank you so much! ❤
Your so beautiful and so talented.. don’t be so hard on yourself. Knit on.
I really appreciate your honesty. It is so important that we all share the ups and downs of our emotional lives. It is such a big part of our lives and it seems we are alone when in reality so many people share your thoughts. Thank you and happy 2021!!
💕I absolutely love your podcast! I enjoy listening to your voice and everything you share! I love all your knitting whatever you finished and what you are working on. I also wouldn’t mind seeing some of your bags from Joji & Co!
You are beautiful and so talented!
Your brioche shirt is great! Thanks
Love all your knits! Glad you & your family are well! Hope that includes your mom too!
Always a joy watching and listening to you xo
You're an amazing wonderful soul! and to top it off you're strikingly beautiful! You are unique and so darn talented! Huge hug to you!
It was lovely catching up with you, thank you for sharing! ❤️
You are so beautiful and inspiring and give us such joy .. your designs are unbelievable we so admire you hope that you feel better soon xxxshalom. Elizabeth san diego
Yay so lovely to see you back - you’re an inspiration xxx much love - you look amazing 😘😘
Hola Joji! I can relate to your sons appreciation of hand-made socks. My sons are the same. After they started wearing my handmade socks they refuse to wear commercial. I can’t keep up with the demand. It takes so long to knit a pair Joji! Especially boys/men’s sizes lol! Thanks for a great podcast sharing your new designs. Beautiful. 👍👏👏👏👏💐
Oh, Joji, I am surprised to hear such self doubt from someone I admire so much. This year has been so difficult. What is bringing me joy this week is wearing my new lightweight Hipster around the house. It goes so well with the T-shirts I wear every day. 😀 Be well. 💕💗
Thank you for sharing so honestly what so many of us feel from time to time.... all my best wishes for a wonderful 2021!
My dr. refers to covid 19 as the 19 pounds most of his patients are gaining because we aren't exercising as much and we are eating more as we hang around the house. Please don't be so hard on yourself. We have all aged a bit more than usual this year. No matter what type of work you do, this year has been harder. Congrats on your podcast anniversary, getting some yarn through customs and presenting your mom to the world so she could become a much loved youtube celebrity. Oh those new lace socks are beautiful.
So happy to see your lovely podcast!💕
2020 ruined many plans we made - I understand you pretty well, as I turned 50 last year and wished for a nice party with friends and family.
You are a warm, beautiful woman with a contagious smile. And don't let anybody make you think different :-) I'm happy you're well and back with the journal. As there is very hot in Argentina I'm sending frosty regards from snowy Warsaw to make you cool down ;-)
