Same here. I painted and drew my whole life, but I never got too much into digital painting because it was such a pain to use software. Any software. Krita gives me the same ease and flow of using my pens & brushes with all the advantages of digital.
for me it was ibis paint, since it was probably my first application for painting i used :) im trying to level up my skill by using krita now il be buying a tablet soon !
@@KritaOrgPainting Thank you. Because I'm on a laptop I have to push the fn key and then F1, or go to the Help drop-down menu and choose Krita Handbook. I'm going to try going through this and see what I can learn.

I use Krita, but I'm not sure what to draw. I love using Krita when I do draw. I love how the pens are pressure sensitive, so I can use just one brush without having to chance the size or opacity.
I´ve been Krita fan for many years and is awesome.I have a little powered laptop so I use 2.9.11 version of krita but it works great for me,I was a analogic painter before... thaks its a nice video for beginners.

Krita is AMAZING! first i'd like to say its free! most digital painting apps which are free is not as good as the expensive ones, but krita is just as good!
I just download Krita for the first time to use instead of Illustration for save money. I am not good with free hand drawing but I will learn, however, if Krita can draw with pen tool as on Ai that will be easier for me. I will keep learning from your videos. Thank you
Thank you for the help, I've been committing the cardinal sin known as using Paint for my art projects (Not really project but it still kind of works) and I've been wanting a new Drawing app for a while.
I've been a bit down lately and have been told the drawing and painting is therapeutic, I'm keen to give Krita a go, I've seen so much good comments about it
This is a fantastic tutorial Thank you for this video! I decided to get into animation. Krita is perfect for sketching and painting, I recently bought a XP-Pen Deco 01 drawing tablet and started to use it with Krita . it works well .

Krita is a lot better than medibang. I searched for an application which I can use easily to draw with a mouse (can't afford drawing tablets), that's how I found krita. Though I am going have a hard time editing the brushes. Edit: Could you make turotrials for people who are using mouse. I am having a really hard time to colour my drawings.
I used fire alpaca for a wile because the thousands of tools where so overwhelming but an artist that idolized said that Krita was so much more better and advanced so I’m trying to switch back
krita please bring back the semi 'blend' brush, the 'outlined' brush icon, not the full solid color one.. the old Krita has this brush feature (after you picked color from eyedropper, automatically this semi blend brush turned on).
I rly love using Krita! However, is it possible to do screen toning effect on Krita? If so, how do you do it? I'd like to see a tutorial video if possible.
question. In photoshop I quickly resize and adjust the hardness of my brush. but in krita it seems like u have to make custom brush presets to achieve different hardness of the brush edge. so instead of doing it on the fly, u have to constantly switch brushes which is annoying. is this really how you have to work? (I know u can change the size using shift + left click, but there's no quick slider on top to change the hardness, nor is there a shortcut like in photoshop u just hold ctrl + alt + drag up or down to change it.) Also there seem to be no buttons to quickly turn off/on pressure sensitivity for size and flow/opacity, so if I wanna use my regular full opacity brush, and quickly paint a little soft spot instead of being able to click the button and have pressure sensitivity I need to change my entire brush?
I'm not sure but would Krita work with a HUION Inspiroy H640P graphic tablet work? I couldnt see it on the list and i wouldn't want to make a mistake 😬
