You don't know how much I needed to hear this, thank you. My husband and I are 38 years old. Back in our early 20's, like you, he wasn't very nice to me. Not only did he say mean and vile things to me, he also hit me. All I could do is get on my knees and pray to God, asking Him to forgive my husband and to help open his eye to what he was doing. Now, with God's constant grace and love my husband and I couldn't be better. I'm not saying what my husband did was right, however I know that we're both imperfect people loving another person with imperfections. We need God always. Your sister in Christ, Heather.

Here's some advice, if you have kids. Don't abuse them, because it will cause much pain for them. Also don't claim to be a follower of Christ and then abuse them,because kids are perceptive as well. Congratulations on your engagement. Put God first and live as Christ, because putting self first causes harm. I speak these things from experience growing up in a household where my "dad " claimed to be a Christian, but was an abuser and a hypocrite as well.

Nobody is "perfect" - we all have our shortcomings. It's only when we work through our differences can we really see why God has brought us together in the first place!

I lost a very precious woman thru drink and selfishness now I live alone and I cant repair the things I did and said , I wish I could , but I have jesus in my life now and I've been sober for 5 years and it was the best thing I've ever done giving up that evil liquid . Actually, you CAN repair the relationship, unless she's gone on and remarried. There's a good book that helped me in my past, called;
'How To Save My Marriage Alone'.
There's also other good books on how to. If she loved you once before, you CAN rekindle her love for you again, but it takes work on your part and time. But, it IS possible. You can probably find this book in Christian book stores, Amazon, Ebay, or other book stores.
Trust the LORD He can restore your marriage.

I pushed my mom when I was about 20. She got scared. It happened long time ago and I still regret it. I still remember her disappointed look in her eyes 😔 She died of cancer over 10 years ago. I miss her...

Hi Joe! My name is Doyin, and I became a Christian last year. I have been struggling in my faith especially being the only Christian in my family. Recently, I felt tempted by the enemy and I allowed the conflict to get the best of me. I prayed a couple of hours before I watched this video for the Lord's help. Watching this video helped me in many ways. I didn't know that holiness equals happiness and that the Lord wants me to be myself. I didn't even know it was important to keep non-Christian friends either. I find comfort and so much understanding in God watch your videos. Please keep making them because they help new Christians like me.
I love the Lord, I delight in his commands...I have chosen to wait for my husband, I choose to remain celibate until I meet him and we are married and if it never happens let his will be done, I will wait on the Lord forever.
The good news is you won't wait forever. Our lives are but a vapor. And, to be absent of the body means to be with Christ our most precious husband!

My wife left me because I was stale in the marriage and did not nurture her and wasn't the spiritual leader that I shouldn't have been and I raised my voice at her.
I'm now am heartbroken and lonely, but God has brought me closer to him, I hope that God will bring us back together again. Pray for us.

We have been married over 5 years and he has been very cruel to me for most of them, and has serious anger issues. I would have left years ago had I known I could have. I believed as a Christian I would never be able to do anything as a divorcee, meanwhile my spirit and heart was getting pulverized. Now he’s calmed down a bit, but I don’t know if I could ever be whole and healthy with him. I am just exhausted from fighting this battle. I wasted my 20's too, but in a different way. I thought I'd have a good job, be married and have kids by now (almost 30) but here I am wasting away, introverted, anxious, fearful, alone and lazy, wishing I had done something different, seeing those who are younger than me prospering, even those who aren't Christian, wondering if the Lord will ever shine his face upon me and bless me too with what my heart desires, with what he knows is right and good for me.
Today is the day of salvation man. Don't lose hope. Maybe just ask God what your purpose is. Purpose will fulfill you more than what you think you need. Sometimes our desire are not His will. And before our desires are even given to us the bible says "Delight in Me" first. So if we delight in Him, His desires for us will start to become our desires and therefore His will. So just go back to the drawing board, start over and pray God reveals His purpose to you. I love you brother blessings to you.

Do not inderestimate the power of going to councelling for your anxiety. It chamged my life. I went for 4 years and it was excellent. Helps clear out and sort the junk in our brains to make room for whats inportant :) Keep praying to God for guidance :)

Brother you're loaded with so much wisdom. Holy spirit filled.
When I feel fear or anxiety or worry, I repeat verses to counteract those feelings over and over until they're gone. It works. Then I thank God for His blessing and His wonderful Word. Whenever I feel angry or bitter or feel sorry for myself I start naming off all the things I'm grateful for and thanking God for each one. It works. Whenever I feel depressed or frustrated or overwhelmed with life I pray. It works. Or I read my Bible, or I listen to my audio Bible. Any negative emotion and every temptation can be overcome if you look to God first, immediately if possible. He is our defense against the fiery darts and all other obstacles that stand up to resist us. God bless you, Joe, and everyone who watches your videos.

I was literally the worst to my wife who was my girlfriend at the time for 15 years and I'm 36 we got married a year ago and I completely changed for her and God and it has been the best year of my life we are now expecting our baby girl ❤️

I choose the road most traveled, and lost it all. My wife quickly remarried and had his child. Me, I have been alone for over a well over a decade. I choose the wrong road. I tell her all the time that I a sorry, but 3,000 miles of road deafens all ears. I wanted to be free. It was not sold as advertised. 17 years alone is a long time. You choose wisely. Joe, I’m 67 years old; and growing up I used to love the same type of preachers you used to imitate. Later on I became a highly addicted person and those type of preachers were only reaching me up to my waist. It wasn’t till I began to cry every time I watched David Wilkerson and Billy Graham. There was also a Puertorican Preacher named Yiye Avila. As a matter of fact they all died a few years apart, but they all left a huge mark for the gospel. There was something about them that was so sincere, inviting, and full of love. Then I learned that what I was seeing in them was the presence of The Holy Spirit.
And Joe, that’s the same loving gift I see in you. I see humility, honesty, eagerness to save souls, and the big one; love. The way you express yourself with emotion and a soft spoken way. That’s the reason why I love to listen to you and watch your videos. I always get a dose of love with the presence of The Holy Spirit.
May THE LORD JESUS continues to flourish in your life and use you like never before. Especially in these days, Joe. There’s no doubt in me that Ezekiel 38 is unfolding as we speak. Keep up the good race Joe.

My husband and I dealt with many trials the first ten years of our marriage. At times we were both unfaithful! It was a terrible marriage! But praise God after a year of separation God dealt with us both at this time! He is the reason we will be celebrating our 25th anniversary this coming summer! Our marriage is stronger and better today than it’s ever been! Seek your Father both of you and He gets the glory for a marriage saved!!!

Do you know your testimony is so precious to me? I'm in a similar situation except I hurt my wife multiple times. I've destroyed her trust in me and can't trust God because of me.
Saw her with another man. It broke my heart and it turned me back to God miraculously instead of me continuing in my addiction. I've repented and continually repenting. And praying for reconciliation and reunion.
What I'm saying is that your testimony helps me to not feel alone. That there are people with similar story with mine.

This completely broke meeee! Omg I was horrible to my husband in my 20s and early 30s I'm 32 now and my husband is 33. We adore eachother and love our children. He just had a stroke and two heart attacks and I'm being broken and stripped down rn I have nobody, no family from either side. But I see the error of my ways and I have come to know that the lord is healing us thru this! We are starting all over with me being his nurse physical therapist and loving wife! Thank u for this it came right on time the lord used u to help me.

Thank you for this video, it's made me think about quite a bit. I'm a wife and I'm 28, there's a lot wish I I could change a few years earlier but I learned from them what I needed. You say that you're a shy, cowardly and awkward man but I don't see that in you. I see a man who is loving, sensitive, kind, and brave for being so open and relatable when you speak. Joe, I want you to know that the Lord has used you to help free me from one of my repeated sin, since breaking free of that, I've been seeking to learn what else i need to turn from, and where i should be focused. Thank you Joe for waking up the Christian in me. I want to be with Jesus in Heaven, and I now FEEL cleaner since being washed by the blood of Jesus.

I remember last year I went through a really hard time because of my sin and I looked up videos such as “How to be saved” or “How to stop watching inappropriate videos”. I was a lukewarm Christian even though my parents had a church when I was young and I did daily Bible verses, but then I came across a video that you made about Lukewarm Christians and you said “Are you going to serve God or the devil?” And I remember crying and crying because I thought I was doing my best to put my trust in Christ but I allowed myself to dwell in evil thoughts and I never really got emotional to the point I cried. And so I made my decision and that was to follow God, but it took a while to fully put my life in His beautiful hands.

I love your awkward shy sensitive approach! The Holy Spirit touches my soul when I listen to you preach the Word! Personally the shouty preachers works for more few than people like to believe...for example when my husband shouts at me I feel less inclined to listen...I kind of see it similarly with shouting preachers.
