Everyone keeps saying, “They should add voice chat” but one of the big things Ryscu talks about even in the video, 6:47 , is how people that don’t use Voice Chat puts themselves and their team at a massive disadvantage. I think it would make sense to scale back on communication and rather than have all chat just have certain pre-made phrases you can use instead. There is already literally nothing stopping someone from just making a discord and using that to talk to solo queue teammates. Having voice chat added to league will NOT help or hinder the experience, it would just be more convenient than Discord and just as many people that join the discord link would join the league voice chat.
I just want to know how my retarded laners sound like. I need to know the kind of person who gives first blood, then proceed to int 2 more times before I even finish my 3rd camp sounds like
The only reason for no voice to this day, is because Riot can't control it. They use the excuse of toxicity, but there is not a single platform or game without it, as it's human nature. "But it's online, nobody can control it!" as is with real life, or you don't see competitions and sports? We saw it recently with chat moderation, and if Riot says you are wrong, you are wrong, as seen with their list of 'offensive words' (most of are completely innocent)
Huh, i remember curse voice being a thing but I never used it, in my experience it was just not popular in the LATAM server. The first third party tool that became huge and a staple in the server was Porofessor.
Hot take, people would be a lot less toxic if there was voice chat (still toxic). Able to communicate without pings, able to see that their teammates are genuinely trying, not having to figure out what your teammate is thinking. And most people wouldnt say half the stuff they type. It’s probably too late though as the culture of toxicity has been built up. But I’d love to see Riot introduce it with like honour lvl 4 accounts or something
Voice should be in league, There is no difference in someone being toxic over voice as it is in the chat, There is always a choice for someone to disable it, Toxic people will be toxic regardless of having voice chat or not, What voice does is enables people to communicate better.
One of the reasons i dont play league anymore is no vc. Its laughable to have a competitive game and not incude vc. Not even mentioning that league is one of the most team based games ive ever played
Please cover what riot is doing with wild rift communication in game. They removed voice chat with team and disabled all chat. We used to be able to use voice chat in solo queue to talk to team members and I miss all chat. They turned this off in the west but left it on in china because they said it was “bugged” still not back yet. Teamchat also barely works.
Nice video (it's really well done, good editing, good speaking and good all, I like your videos ryscu, but..), I'm just gonna take the chance to share my opinion about league voice: I just want one or two splits, not three... doing three placements a year is too much, thank you. (fuck voice, i don't wanna talk to people i want my progress to really mean something)
league is the most toxic game in existence because of HOW sanitized communication is, you CAN'T communicate without stressing yourself over not tripping on a bad word or you'll get muted for a week, of course it tilts people, I genuinely hate this game I might just quit it if China gets voice chat but not NA
this is just not true, league is so toxic because babies can't admit fault with their gameplay and scapegoat their team, I've been playing since season 6 and the one time I've been punished by riot for anything is because i gave my friend one of my alt account details through the league client. literally just don't be an asshole and try to communicate information that actually matters.
Overwatch has voice chat, it also has block options, party chat only or open chat. Someone is toxic, just mute that person. Only want to listen and not talk, sure. Want to IGL the whole game, go for it. The vast majority of games are not toxic. LoL should implement the same thing
Idk, i prefer VC because it increases the ability to make callouts. I can always turn someone down, or mute them all together. I think making it opt-in similar to party VC is just fine. You could argue it makes some games less fair, but that already happens when you have teammates that ping/dont
@@suitar1 Oh no, not the slightest. Pinging can give you only so much information. And its rather slow. Its hard to ping while in a 1vs2 or concentrating on doing baron and hitting smite. Voice chat just happens during all of these moments. Sure it won't affect most of the lower elo games, but going from diamond (maybe emerald) onwards, it becomes a huge advantage. Thats literally the reason why DuoQ was/is being restricted in high level play. If you want to have your best chanced at winning a ranked game, you will have to use voice. If you don't, you put everyone else in your team at a disadvantage besides yourself. I really thought about league having a voice chat, but I already got enough problems with people using chat. If you are with friends in a five squad, best league experience ever, but playing with 4 randoms? Having them in my game is enough, thank you :)
"Oh no someone is being mean to me in my Videogame" type of energy. Pros will always outway the cons for VC in any game. The fact league players continue to cuck themselves by saying they don't need VC is insane to me.
Imo there shouldn't be voice chat in league. It will make the game even more a cointoss-thing because whether your teammates use voice chat or not will be 100% random. A question of luck. And the problem that comes with that is the fact that teams using voice chat will have a massive advantage. So riot would make it a matter of luck whether you get a massive advantage or not.
I really dont want vc in league. Having played dota 2 and deadlock just makes me not want to play the games. Igenuinely enjoy league, only started playing in 2022. And it is a blast to play but having to hear people be constantly negative would just put me off of it. Reading it in chat I can just mentally ignore it but hearing it is a different thing
100% agree, these low elo noobs think shouting at their team would get them to follow their 1000IQ play and then when after a year of voice chat exising they're still hardstuck silver they would blame something else. It's mostly a low-elo cope. Sure in high elo (master+) it might be helpful, but that's
i think the idea "league of legends chat" has many downsides than people think, in lower mmr peoples comms does not make sense and communication with them is pointless because they have too much ego anyways. champions like nocturne would likely to be less reliant due to vc, also it probably would break the balance system. also part of lol players do not have any microphone headset, or they just dont like to talk. its serious issue, i played valorant in the past and it was game changer honestly
Someone at Riot threw a literal TANTRAM about Curse Voice and made sure it was killed because they had personal opinions about voice chat that have no bearing on the actual player experience. There's your WHY. To that Rioter: You can hide all you want behind your cronies, dude. But your decisions still make for the most toxic experience in live service gaming to date. Not surprising since you and the rest of the upper echelon are pretty toxic. That's why all your talent left and made their own studios and you now have a revolving door of attrition.
Oh we already implemented the whole interface for a voice chat. Oh you could use this in ur game lobbies with friends! wow! Outstanding idea - revolutionary compared to discord or teamspeak or whatever. Oh we could also use this same voice chat for solo/duo queue games? Nah thats non sense.
I don't understand why riot thinks communication with my team is an issue, it would legit make the game less toxic. Why is communication promoted as being positive in every aspect of life like marriages and work but not in my games?
Meanwhile, Dota 2 has voice chat but no one bothers to talk other than me lmfao. I think this is just a low elo SEA server experience though. We mostly play in crap computer shops anyways with no mic to use.
3:15 i still hate how some apps give fully accurate sum timers some even do spells and ults with haste like sure camps and neutrals are fine to time but some even have timers for clear speeds... like they become just to strong for no reason
@4:06 "timer is not a skill" no it is not, but information is knowing when drake is up means you can path the jungle and plan ganks accordingly you can set up vision around preemptively and that info was only available for the team who took drake
At this point the only thing stopping voice chat is league being scared of losing money and a lot of league players being vocal about not wanting it. Even if those players are just the usual league players with all talk no action, riot is too scared of losing player base and therefore money to take the chance and therefore voice chat goes nowhere.
L take. They lessen the ways you communicate so that you'll rage qeue MORE. Wildrift has voice chat and it isn't even as toxic as ppl make it out to be. Only snowflakes would complain on how brittle they are.
@@dissidius13 Even though that's not what i meant your comment is literally just a subset of mine. I even mentioned how league players are all talk, and like 85-90% of league players are snowflakes, this includes both the toxic ones and the inting ones.
They claimed it would make the game too toxic, but DOTA has it, Valorant has it, and overwatch has it. Voice chat doesn't make the game more toxic, competitive gaming does. You want to make the game less toxic? Make ranked lol vs bots not players. Why should I be at a disadvantage in solo queue with an enemy premade on coms while I am trying to solo only? Remove duo queue for all ranks or add vc to lol. Those are the only 2 options I will EVER support.
All your criticism goes out the window when literally every single challenger player climbed through these terrible ranks SoloQ and it didn't seem to affect them kek
I really hope riot stays there stance on VC, at least until the culture around voices in gaming changes. Women, children, minorities, and people without “normal” voices are forced out of the scene when you do stuff like this. Until the gaming space is no longer inflammatory and gross games that don’t require voice chat shouldn’t have it. It is *for* competitive integrity not against it. I think most of us in the gaming community can agree that we want everyone to have an equal shot at winning. Competition isn’t fun if you or your opponents have an overwhelming advantage.

There is already literally nothing stopping someone from just making a discord and using that to talk to solo queue teammates. Having voice chat added to league will NOT help or hinder the experience, it would just be more convenient than Discord and just as many people that join the discord link would join the league voice chat.
not sure if he meant to release this video right before they release voice chat. yes it was leaked info, voice chat is coming
Can't believe it till I see it , I mean hear it
Drop the source, kappa
yeah to chinese servers mate
I just want to know how my brain dead jungler sounds like. I need to know the kind of person who tower dives past tier one and dies sounds like.
I just want to know how my retarded laners sound like. I need to know the kind of person who gives first blood, then proceed to int 2 more times before I even finish my 3rd camp sounds like
I remember curse and wtfast, i was wondering what happened to them, good video bro
caught by the intro watched it entirely mostly because of the animations but pretty interesting tho
How can I get into contact with you for a partnership?
Man, what happened to the Ryscu that didn't censor swearing...
Why did you age me back to the old League Client like this?
4:13 Czechia mentioned 🗣🗣
Hot take, people would be a lot less toxic if there was voice chat (still toxic). Able to communicate without pings, able to see that their teammates are genuinely trying, not having to figure out what your teammate is thinking. And most people wouldnt say half the stuff they type. It’s probably too late though as the culture of toxicity has been built up. But I’d love to see Riot introduce it with like honour lvl 4 accounts or something
Unfortunately if voice chat worked then about 70% of our games would be spoke in spanish and it would get us nowhere on the NA servers
Translation: I'm bad and blame my losses on my team
I miss curse voice
Bro league pls add dos so we can solve toxicity
And they say voice chat would be too toxic, but yet curse voice made the game infinitely better
Why are there still jgl timers third party app now? i thought riot banned it
Must've been a pain to track down all of this 10 year old content. Respectable investigative journalism.
Oh man this video hit me with nostalgia
league is the most toxic game in existence because of HOW sanitized communication is, you CAN'T communicate without stressing yourself over not tripping on a bad word or you'll get muted for a week, of course it tilts people, I genuinely hate this game I might just quit it if China gets voice chat but not NA
this is just not true, league is so toxic because babies can't admit fault with their gameplay and scapegoat their team, I've been playing since season 6 and the one time I've been punished by riot for anything is because i gave my friend one of my alt account details through the league client. literally just don't be an asshole and try to communicate information that actually matters.
It seems uncertain on a game more reliant on decision making (i mean how easily decisions get influenced by any distraction)
at this point I wouldn't use it.
If there are add ons for league with timers, and those are not banned
Then it should be a native function of a game
I would be perma banned if LoL had voice chat
why lie
get it guys he's toxic and shiii 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
if there would be voice-to-chat stuff build into the program, then yeah, same here.
So edgy so l9 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
For sure bro
I feel like league voice chat would just be the new Xbox live cod mw2 chat
Oh shit, this is why I'm so antisocial about voice coms. What a blast from the past.
Why?
You cant not like Ryscu considering how much effort goes into his videos
I think the policy that led to cursevoice ban is obsolete. There are many apps that give timers, so why not bring back the vc?
If league voice chat ever becomes a thing LTG roastings would be common place, and new forms of disintegration communication would be made lmao
Overwatch has voice chat, it also has block options, party chat only or open chat. Someone is toxic, just mute that person. Only want to listen and not talk, sure. Want to IGL the whole game, go for it. The vast majority of games are not toxic. LoL should implement the same thing
I played deadlock once and that told me exactly why MOBAs dont have VC LMAO
These kinds of games can turn men into children in the snap of a finger
No.1 victim the jungler 😂
Dota 2 still has voice chat. Nobody used it years ago, but playing again now abit surprised people use it to communicate 😂
"Who killed JFK?"
First words in a League video and I know this is gonna be fascinating.
The creative insults
Then maybe u are the issue.Have u ever thought about it?
100% agree, these low elo noobs think shouting at their team would get them to follow their 1000IQ play and then when after a year of voice chat exising they're still hardstuck silver they would blame something else. It's mostly a low-elo cope. Sure in high elo (master+) it might be helpful, but that's
2:52 i remeber that voice! he did champ spot lights for Vainglory. i fking miss Vainglory
2:40 talk tuah
forsen
JFK jumpscare
žolo finally made it Pog
i think the idea "league of legends chat" has many downsides than people think, in lower mmr peoples comms does not make sense and communication with them is pointless because they have too much ego anyways. champions like nocturne would likely to be less reliant due to vc, also it probably would break the balance system. also part of lol players do not have any microphone headset, or they just dont like to talk. its serious issue, i played valorant in the past and it was game changer honestly
Bro no hate but why do you edit so ominously? Like it's not a video about a real crime or somethingXD
If jungle/summoner spell timers are against TOS, why blitz gg overlay users arent banned. Seems like clear unfair advantage to me
They're not against TOS anymore
@@Flame1500 And yet, they give unfair advantage to players using them providing exact camp time spawns, summoner spell cooldowns
@@DankMemes1s hardly an unfair advantage, just download it yourself
Why is it starting like that 😭😭
Nope. The toxicity would not get this bad if there was a vc. I'm dying on this hill.
Do u just make documentaries now?
4:13
CZECH REPUBLIC MENTIONED
I don't understand why riot thinks communication with my team is an issue, it would legit make the game less toxic. Why is communication promoted as being positive in every aspect of life like marriages and work but not in my games?
League will be getting Voice chat in Season 15
To over watch Voice Chat with older Hardware is imposelbel spezial when 2 typ´s of Spain specker one von Spain it self and another one von SA
Meanwhile, Dota 2 has voice chat but no one bothers to talk other than me lmfao. I think this is just a low elo SEA server experience though. We mostly play in crap computer shops anyways with no mic to use.
You are from czech or are you just using gameplay of someone who has czech language on lol ?
Btw nice video❤
Why does league not have a voice chat? Because league exists.
Truly the most important question, who cares about intergalactic terrestrial life
ua-cam.com/video/0OOpOV2PqgU/v-deo.html
3:15 i still hate how some apps give fully accurate sum timers some even do spells and ults with haste like sure camps and neutrals are fine to time but some even have timers for clear speeds...
like they become just to strong for no reason
can you lower the swoosh sound effects stopped watching cuz of it.
@4:06
"timer is not a skill"
no it is not, but information is
knowing when drake is up means you can path the jungle and plan ganks accordingly
you can set up vision around preemptively
and that info was only available for the team who took drake
Tencent is also the owner of discord. League voice chat = less traffic to discord
I was hoping you'd touch towards the end on the insane hypocrisy of everyone using 3rd party jungle timers nowadays.
pretty sure when i join voicechat they'll assume i eat dogs, 5ft tall and spreaded covid so i think im good.
Voice chat in LoL - Cursed by design
I dont rember when was the last time I felt this sorry for wasting 10 minutes of my life. 20 seconds of content really.
BRING BACK CURSE VOICE
People will really get hurt. That's why.
Curse was so good for the game
I really hope riot stays there stance on VC, at least until the culture around voices in gaming changes. Women, children, minorities, and people without “normal” voices are forced out of the scene when you do stuff like this. Until the gaming space is no longer inflammatory and gross games that don’t require voice chat shouldn’t have it.
It is *for* competitive integrity not against it. I think most of us in the gaming community can agree that we want everyone to have an equal shot at winning. Competition isn’t fun if you or your opponents have an overwhelming advantage.
Womp womp
You'll be waiting for a very very long time for that to change, if it ever will.
@ That’d be my point
