Could you put a pleat detail in the centre of 5he pocket tops to bring them in a bit,. I would cut the belt shorter, add a buckle and hold at the centre front, I think it would look so stylish.

The dress looks fantastic on you, great fit. I prefer the tie tied at the back, it's not too bulky at the back. The crossover at the front gives you a great shape. I don't like baggy pockets, either. I have a cardigan like that and it drives me mad. The pockets look OK and balance the dress. Leave it as it is for now, you can always change it later if you want to, but I think you are right about the slimmer silhouette with the black sides. No shopping for me!

I defo wouldn’t take the pockets off I’d alter them so they sit more flush & I think 🤔 I’d put them a little bit higher but other than that it’s gorgeous & really suits u 😁 I love ❤️ both the dress & the jacket 😍 I’m quite jealous 😁 & what’s the pattern u used for the dress plzzz xxx
Beautiful material, dress suits you but I don't think you need the pockets, seem to distract from the line of the dress. Can I ask you a question, what needle will I need to use to alter some pleather trousers for my daughter.??

Your version looks better than the one on the pattern. Without the pockets is my preference. The baggy pockets take away from the look of it 💞💞

Clear elastic in the pocket tops and o stabilize and draw them close.

The matching jacket is such a nice accent but I think the pockets detract. A long black panel would allow the jacket to shine!
