And if your trying to hurry then you need to add a bit of a roll to your hips or you risk accidentally ripping the side seem. Shorts really allowed for women to take longer more traditionally masculine strides. And later elastic leggings provided the illusion of modesty. Now it’s all just a trend.

We can have sympathy for her and enjoy the work she left behind, without holding her up as an ideal worthy of emulation. And “the perfect height”? Well that’s whatever height one was born to be. It's a pageant walk look at her feet she's almost putting one foot in front of the other. Women do this for some pageant walks. I use to when as in them it helps make one look more graceful and for long gowns to flow better when walking in them.
My grandmother taught me that's how you should walk when in heels. one foot in front of the other. it gives you that "power walk" and forces your hips to wiggle back and forth. and your head should be still enough to balance a book on it
