Different class of suv, my wife went from x5m to rover and like her purses she’ll jump in the x5 in a heart beat for the speed and loudness 😂(we still have x5)
Been looking at one of these used. Definitely a very impressive vehicle. As for the engine, while the V8 is nice, it's also got a rep for poor reliability. The straight 6 on the other hand is considered one of the best engines in the industry with a proven track record for reliability. Personally I don't really need the third row and would hardly ever use it. The one reason to consider the X7 over the X5 is the level of luxury. It is obvious it is a step up in that regard. That is not saying the X5 is not a luxury vehicle but just the flagship SUV in BMW's lineup carries the extra toys.
The bad reputation with the V8 engines are unfortunately part of the early N63 engines back in 2011. The later years don’t have nearly as many problems but I agree. The I6 is nearly bullet proof in comparison. The X7 feels more premium than the X5 for sure.
@@jeffborkowski @jrb41 try to pick up a 2021 x7 with 28k miles for $50k negotiate to that price at least. but if you can and change oil onetime I expect no problem, I have a 2020 x5m50i with almost 50k in milage no issue. beside the fuel pump had to replace at 25k miles, but I think that was my fault driving with low fuel on a v8 and the auto on and off engine help making it worst. If I could disable that button I probably wouldn't have had any issue. what car do you guys have now ? I stuck between this x7 and maybe a chevy subur for a better 3rd row and trunk space
I love the x7 especially with the M sport package. I love the x7M60i. Eddie you should definitely consider this version for your family an get rid of that Range Rover imo. I think you would be more happier with this color combo or the black on black.
What looks better to you, this X7 body style or the MB GLS550 from the years 17-19. I’m torn between the two, i mostly care about looks and not so much of performance. Altho reliability matters to me
Dude, the driving experience of the f85 X5M is like being strapped to a rocket! It's fast, furious, and totally exhilarating. The X7, on the other hand, is more like a luxury cruise. It's smooth, comfortable, and perfect for those long drives. So, it really depends on what kind of thrill you're looking for!
Man i LOVE this car. Going to be my next vehicle thanks to this vid. Thank you
I have one now and love it ❤. Same model and everything
way better than a rover!

How’s reliability been for those who have one? Looking at a used 21’ X7 xDrive40i with around 40,000 miles.
Based on some reviews like that from SavageGeese, you definitely need an extended warranty
what did you learn, if anything, re reliability / common issues from those who have? I'm in the same boat, looking at one with around 35k miles.

@@devarcooper we went with a Q7
It’s amazing what a futuristic car….
Thank you for saying that this Vehicle is for anyone, not just a ‘ baby buggy’ like another UA-cam person does.
It's. Razy how you blend in with the seats. Like camouflage 😂

I like it. I think it would be too much car for us right now. Wait until the the Range Rover review!
@@eddiemcars bet !!
i love this car, appreciate the review
Greetings from Poland Eddie 👍
Great review torn between this or the 840iGC. I see this SUV a lot but, I rarely ever see 840iGC. Of course one is a sedan vs SUV.

Great review
Thank you!
Would the 40i would be able to tow a 5000lbs boat effectively? (currently towing with a 2023 Colorado TB 2.7t (310hp/390tqq) L3B with no problems)
I’m confident that the X7 40i will tow the boat so well, you’ll question why you have the truck.
The Auto start/stop CAN indeed be turned off. There is a button next to the shifter.
How you feel about the driving compared to f85 x5m ? If you have driven x7m50i

I have the f85 x5m now considering the x7m50i but dont want to lost that driving fun,@@eddiemcars
Cut you losses and dump that RR. Then go out and get what you know you really want!!
Go ahead and pull the trigger Ed!😂 I’m actually torn between the Denali Ultimate and the M50 X7……I’ll update you unless I find an Alpinna x7
A just bought a 40i with 40k miles for 48k, so your pricing is a bit off
Used prices will fluctuate. I’m referring to new pricing
Price also depends on the options/packages...CPO.
Wait another year to get one you'll save yourself another 10k
Back seat functionality wayyyyyyy too slow. Deal breaker for me.
Just got an F85 X5M. What’s your Instagram? I’ve got some questions.

Me too lol just got F85 - love it!
