+ivan hector demarez Hi Ivan, I use vox tonelab amp simulator for all my recordings. It has very authentic vox tone. Echo on this one is Australian made TVS3 echo, which I think the most authentic echo simulating vintage Meazzi and vox echoes. I also use a vintage Vox Long Tom tape echo from 1963. Hi Mike, I use heavy strings on my guitar, 12-54. On the amp you have to cut the bass, and not too much treble. If you have a equaliser, you can play around with cutting off low frequencies, boost the middle, and cut the treble a little. That should take you to a good ballpark. But playing style is the most important factor here, I pick strings very hard especially for early Shadows tunes. I hope this helps. Let me know how you get on. Regards, Robby

Also most them don't have the correct figuring on the neck (well, at least to my liking). So I decided to put one together, I contacted Alan Brason, sent him photos of birdseye maple necks that I like. He said he'd find the correct woods to match what's on the photos.
