Might be a stretch but my guess is that Grayson lied to JJ and claimed that he apologised for hurting one of his correspondents. Explains why JJ was so upset about it afterwards
Grayson Allen said publicly that he reached out.
Let me fill you in, Grayson said he reached out, then AC later said that he didn't, it was all public knowledge by the time this prodcast produced. JJ had to know all of this, but he choose to ask the question this way because, to be fair, nobody can be 100% sure other than those two and people closed to them, and also it's more dramatic this way.

Most guys reach out to the person they injured when something like that happens. Says something about Grayson Allen that not only do his cheap shots continue, but he's too classless to even acknowledge their targets.

Caruso said past is past and indicated he doesnt care to start drama about it. If Caruso wanted to he couldve been shitting on Grayson all he wanted, JJ wouldnt mind the drama and resulting clicks. If JJ asks and Caruso answers, this will be headlines that yall like, but Caruso most likely doesnt care for it nor wants to deal with media bs around it again. I've been there too ! Same happened to me , i tried to dunk jumping on one leg and a guy me wrong and ended up fracturing my right wrist and getting surgery! Couldn't play for two years at least ! It's harder mentally than physically

I fractured my wrist playing basketball from getting fouled. I was playing tips with a couple guys and the physicality was steadily increasing. One guy was an absolute unit and I was doing my best in defense, but he kept saying I was fouling him. Then one possession he just shoved me and grabbed the ball and scored. Then he drove again and I pushed him in the air. (I shouldn't have done that but I'm pretty mad at this point). Eventually I get the ball back and I have it at the top of the key. I see this guy's eyes and I know he's about to come lay me out, so I threw up a 3 point hook shot, thinking I could get it off before he got to me. But he got to me and put both his hands square into my chest and drove with his legs full strength. I was straight up sideways in the air and my top half was swinging towards the cement with centrifugal force. I panicked like Alex talked about and put my hands out to catch myself so I didn't smash the back of my skull of the cement. I saved myself a concussion but fractured something in my wrist. I never went to the hospital because I was starting a new job that week, and I had been out of work for a while, so I was totally broke to the point where getting enough food was an issue. Anyways, my wrist is still fucked up six years later and I still hate that guy.
Cool story. That’s what you get for shoving someone out of mid air, however. You escalated it, regardless of how physical it was beforehand. You got what you deserved. With that being said, hope ur wrist gets better eventually

@@RealMikeMiller13 to clarify he was jumping straight up at the hoop and I very lightly nudged his elbows upwards. It wasn't enough to make him lose his center of gravity and he was in no danger at all. Also, as mad as I was, I would have caught him if I had made him fall in a dangerous way. Like I said I shouldn't have done that, but I had never had such a blatant violent no on basketball play happen to me before and I was fuming. I was reacting to the initial shove, but here was a history of contentious behavior between us and I just shouldn't have played ball with him in the first place.. I just didn't think he would get so violent

It baffles me that someone like Grayson Allen, with a reputation for being a scumbag, making dirty plays and moves that have threatened entire player careers, gets to keep playing, while Meyers Leonard gets his whole career ruined because he said an anti-Semitic insult out of anger while livestreaming a videogame. (Don't get me wrong, what he did was wrong, but imo the punishment was too harsh compared to what Grayson who is actually physically hurting people gets away with)

You’re defenseless when you leave your feet like that.. I’ve been there once on blacktop and luckily walked away with a low level concussion. Andrew Bynum got away with doing it twice… the NBA should treat this type of play more seriously
I remember after fracturing my hand. after like a month, I literally couldn't lift 5 pounds. it was such a shocking thing to me. thankfully I grinded hard & I'm back better than ever.

I'm sure they had a conversation prior to recording if Alex wanted to talk more about it. But I will say that the title is a bit clickbaity since he broke down his recovery rather than dirty plays in general in the NBA.

He's lucky. I tore the blood supply to my Lunate bone. After a few months it collapsed and I fractured the two bones on each side without really knowing it. They had to perform a proximal row carpectomy. They asked me what my goal was for recovery. I said shoot a basketball. One year later, I still can't shoot a free throw. I can lift hundreds of pounds and push and pull, but I can't flick my wrist. Lost most of my range of motion in my right hand. Side note, I can dribble fine and I am getting pretty good with my left hand!😂
