    Its chilling to watch this and realize that the world had no idea of the horror that was coming. Many of these men would never return home but the Royal Navy rose to the occasion and won the battle of the Atlantic! The RN of today may be smaller than it was back then but its still a force to be respected as the Argentinians discovered to their peril.

    I looked at this out of mild interest. I wasn't expecting to see the work of the 24-year-old Norman McLaren!

      The girl, Evelyn Corbett, was also in Len Lye's 'N or NW', made for the GPO in the same year. These were her only film credits- as a girlfriend in two atypical works from the Unit's most idiosyncratic creators.
