You cant use tendrill on allies if there arent any targetable walls behind them , this makes this talent extreeeemly unreliable cuz a lot of the time yoy cant event use it 😢
A "Rei" tendril giving some healing & ult charge (for both Vora & target ally) might have been a smidgen more value upfront than ... "lets share some situational cards".
You had Obliteration up and were full hp. The 20% dr you also get would have the total Blood Reaper damage become 125% of max hp to effectively 100% Max hp damage. So as long as you didn't receive every tick of damage from the ult, both because of Obliteration and the fact you weren't even in range of it when it started, I think you would've been able to live through it.
I agree. While the talent isn’t good he didn’t really do anything in this match to showcase it to begin with. Can’t exactly tell how good the 40% DR is when he latched to allies like thrice and at moments where they weren’t under fire
I think the issue with this showcase is that you are still trying to play vora as a flank in this match. I haven't tried the talent myself yet but wouldn't it make more sense to switch play style to a backline DPS when using this talent and then using tendril to buff your support when they get dived? Also I think this would be really interesting to test with a drogoz as well since he can fly in the air giving vora a free movement option whenever she wants and drogoz wouldn't get countered as hard.
Someone said you can't link to allies unless there's a targetable wall behind them so I'm not even sure it would let you link to a Drogoz that's in the air
I can see 2 ways to improve this talent. 1st) We focalize into its offensive capabilities. We increase the damage of the tendril after aiming at an enemy (a total of ~200-300 should suffice) and add a silence or/and disarm effect to the targeted enemy. 2nd) We focalize on its supportive capabilities. Instead of grappling into an ally, the effect of this talent stays the same and now are applied similarly to Grover's old Rampant Blooming. In other words, bonuses apply to allies through a zone. The only difference is that instead of being at the end (Grover needed to finish vining), it would be located and propagated at the start of the ability, when Vora launches herself. In both cases, we removed the ability to tendril to an teammate. It impedes flanking and is something you don’t wanna do as Vora.
I mean, I like that Evil Mojo is trying to rework talents, but the recent reworks just feel so specific, when I read them I think "Wow that's a word salad I'll never get value for using"
6:50 THATS exactly why Skye doesnt ever need a support talent like the healing smoke bomb. Skye is flank meant to flank and get sneaky kills behind the enemy lines, why would she need a talent that gives support capabilities to her smoke bomb instead of improving her killing potential? Same as skye, vora doesnt need to provide support to her team
ngl I like both new talents because you can now play her more defensively and provide utility to your teammates which is something that needs time to get optimized. and the other talent helps you survive more 1v1s because it allows you to use your best ability more often. but first I need to get good with vora lmao wish me luck!
Im convinced they do things like this to test ideas for future champions that might have a similar ability or something lol only thing that makes any sense.
Hey I know you read all the comments so in a future video can you talk abt rei and tell them to put her first talent on the same cooldown bc her first talent is so inconsistent n i love rei so much that i literally play any talent but that one plus my cooldown reduction is fucked up a lot n they listen to you n I want to play paladins again but I only will if my support is revived
My favorite thing about this talent is that now my favorite vora talent, the one that gave double tendril, is part of base kit so now I can use a different one. I've wanted to use the other two for so long, but I just found double tendril to much fun
They need to improve the ult of Vora. it takes up the whole screen and makes it difficult to hunt down the target enemy, they side step and you end up loosing them and executing the attack can be easily missed even though the enemy is in front of you
point is base vora is buffed with double tendril on top of immunity, cripple, and wallhack dot (verticality, strong poke and no reload). because of that, she shouldn't have strong talents like what andrew is expecting here. not too many people main her because of ping but otherwise, they will call this an overbuff like previous cassie. balancer should stop looking at the numbers. thought vora was already balanced
This reminds me of rei talent where you make it so that the enemy doesn't get any healing. Sounds awesome right? Well how the fuck do you know if it actually did something let alone if it functions? 😂
Double tendril base is nice, both new talents are hyper niche, just not good compared to the benefits of first talent. last talent just plays like buck
At its current state is utterly useless. Maybe if it would be similar to rampant blooming that you heal allies in a radius of your tendril? Now that would be cool! But I don’t like this idea of card effect applying to allies - even if it worked well, at the end stats you won’t see a thing how you contributed to the win. Yes, you’ll see the shielding but nothing about dmg reduction so it’s a very ungrateful talent to play.🤷♂️ I hope I won’t see any Vora’s in my team playing this
Once more andrew does not understand a talent becaouse he is to focused on the base caracter :( also the new obliterate talent is worse then the old one.
Evil Mojo looked at the meanest, edgiest, bloodiest champion, and gave her a *support talent* ☠️
😂 and raum
I wouldn't call Moji the _meanest_
@@ericksapinho same thing for but opposite for when moji was a flank
The double T. In base is sooo nice though.

10:23 Not gonna lie, you were also caught slacking by not giving the Nando 40% DR to hopefully survive the Koga ult. LOL
But then I'd tendril into the ult!

@haysan32 that's super sad if true :(
@@spader-spyder9326 Yeah I haven’t tested it myself yet but if that’s the case that would be very unfortunate

Hey Andrew I made little lyrics for you're intro hope you like them

very first thing i notice is it seems shorter than 3 seconds
there's only 1 true support flank.. pip!
Love from India ❤

Love the double tendrils in base kit. shes so much more fun and versatile
obviously a support talent so different playstyle and factors in comp

tbh i don't care about this talent even 1% if it is bad or decent (if they want pickable talent just bring silence one back)
the idea of tendril to enemy is to obliterate then in their mids and tandril back on an ally...
get shield aswell ....
This reminds me of rei talent where you make it so that the enemy doesn't get any healing. Sounds awesome right? Well how the fuck do you know if it actually did something let alone if it functions? 😂
No matter how much I play Vora I just can't do well with her
I've tried it several times and it wasn't fun. I gues the best combo would be vora andro/vatu double flank
Double tendril base is nice, both new talents are hyper niche, just not good compared to the benefits of first talent. last talent just plays like buck
This talent seemed pretty "useless" to me, why would I use this talent? My goal with Vora is to flank and kill.

Pseudo support vora take dr and shield cards and buy bloodbath?? Fuck idk lol
This is the most inconsistent clunky talent I've ever seen. And the value it gives you is not worth it either.

Cool idea but badly executed
Edit: I can't read 🫠
It is still there, it integrated the base kit.
All talents have double tendril now.
@Lewiiugamepad oh fr? That's my bad then, didn't even realize. W change
