I've got the "you look better without glasses " countless times. Mainly cuz my glasses look like the bottom of a bottle at this point lol so when I take them off people see how big my eyes actually are and the "omg your eyes are green?" comment. It actually makes me happy. Even though it is something I can't control ( wearing glasses) I wish that one day I can wake up, open my eyes and see the world clearly for myself. Then look in the mirror and also be able to see my eyes, as others do.

I think this drama was from the early 2000s wherein "pickup lines" or romantic stuff were a bit too narrow or stereotypical. The idea of romantic was definitely different back then...

For Elle and Dan - Many K Dramas use the seat belt or, seat adjustment for the guy to test the waters on how close can he get to the girl without making a move. In some of the shows, the main female gets defensive (even if she doesn't say anything - Oh My Venus). In any relationship, there has to be a point where you get that close to see if there is anything between you (energy). If it is negative - as in your two responses - it would be the signal to not pursue the relationship any further.

@horchata mochi You've clearly got a generous outlook (or broad definition of "ok")! For me it was fair to ok-ish. There was a lot undeveloped and plenty to cringe/eye roll over. Though it did give me a story that wasn't 16-20+ episodes of approx. an hour-long emotional rollercoaster. And thus it served my needs!!
