It's so sad a month after this concert a car acciden't changed his life forever. He was amazing. I listen and watch his videos all the time. No singer today can top him in live entertainment. What a wonderful legacy of music he left for us. R.I.P TEddy.
Seen Teddy once after the accident; ... and only wished I could have thanked him personally for the many times his music made my night pure heaven with the girl I love. Like Teddy, she's gone now also ... this music is priceless to me.
Who the hell could put a thumbs down on this?!!! This is a true artists! One of the most beautiful, powerful and soulful voices in recording history ❤️ Inspires me so much
No auto tune no special effects just mr pendergrass and a microphone I was there that night what a powerful beautiful man I fell in love that night and I always will be totally stunning and that beard ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Although I was too young to witness Teddy Pendergrass in his prime, he was the total package. His voice was as phenomenally beautiful as he was physically.
That Showtime documentary brought me here… this man was a LEGEND and I remember his music playing in my house as child on Saturday mornings… what a helluva singer he was .. live or studio
This song gets everytime, I can't listen to it past "Looking back over my years, I guess I've shed some tears"... I just well up....life has been a lot .. Continue to REst .. legendary TP.
I am 26 years old n grew up listening to this man but neva paid him ne attn until now n he was AMAZING! His voice is/was HEAVENLY, his performance, background singers, band, his emotions n the pain n his face while singing, his moves n this man was ahead of his time. There's only one Teddy P., RIP bro.
As the arranger and co-producer of this song for Teddy, I am so happy to see this great posting of a performance by my brother that I was unaware of. God Bless. Dexter Wansel
heard this version in 2010, was my wedding dance song in 2013. all i can say is i'm glad it still exists on youtube to listen to. so many great memories, thank you Teddy. Rest in power.
I was 12 when I started to listen to Teddy the Bear . I’m now 50 , every time I listen to his music my heart melts . They don’t make them like they used to.!!!
One of my favourite artists and a big regret I never got to see him live in concert. Had a style all of his own; irreplaceable and never ever forgotten. RIP Teddy; will always love you. xx
WOW! The few and true remaining R&B artists need to sing from the heart; with passion! Maybe we will be blessed again with real music and performances!!!
It just appears obvious to me that artist such as Mr. Pendergrass had virtually gone unnoticed, in terms of the value to the particular era he sang in. Mr. Pendergrass' voice was beyond incredible! smokey, short of raspy, but incredibly! Brilliant if you ask me. I wonder who influenced him, what was his personality, things that he liked and things that he liked to do? I would certainly have thanked him for his continuous efforts, which lives on and will live on for years to come. Mr. Pendergrass, was around 30-31 when he sang this song. So serious, look at his performance. INCREDIBLE!
+Tony T I should rephrase that. I should have been more clearer in my statement. What I meant to say was that his accusations shadowed his talent; which literally spoke for itself, or should we say, sang for itself. I am 34. This man was certainly gifted! When the accusations came about, you must admit that his career took a nose dive!
No one has ever come close to interpret lyrics like this unforgettable artist did, projecting so much raw Passion & Ecstasy with his velvet voice... TEDDY PENDERGRASS ,RIP
@Gregory Smith "One of the greatest SOUL singers" ?????....How could you say 'ONE'? Is Teddy not THEEEEEEEE greatest soul singer ever ? It's a genuine question. Stevie Wonder is a great lyracist and entertainer but his vocals are not in the same ball park as Teddy. Marvin Gaye had a great voice but is not in the top 5. Luther Vandross was truly great and is the ONLY person who might compete with Teddy in the 'greatest soul singer' contest. But who else is there ????? I'd be grateful for everyones thoughts....
My dad would play all his songs on repeat. Miss my dad. ❤
Who's with me crossing over to the year 2024..... Rest in peace to those who are no more
It's so sad a month after this concert a car acciden't changed his life forever. He was amazing. I listen and watch his videos all the time. No singer today can top him in live entertainment. What a wonderful legacy of music he left for us. R.I.P TEddy.

Teddy and Luther V are the best of all time
Teddy had some of the best background vocalists in the business. They are superb in this live performance.
Ààaaaaaàaà
Seen Teddy once after the accident; ... and only wished I could have thanked him personally for the many times his music made my night pure heaven with the girl I love. Like Teddy, she's gone now also ... this music is priceless to me.

Who the hell could put a thumbs down on this?!!! This is a true artists! One of the most beautiful, powerful and soulful voices in recording history ❤️ Inspires me so much
Tone deaf, know nothing but autotune collaborations, & to top it off their use to "hog callers" not singers🤫🤫
Asshole@@ibcalm24
What a singer.
His presence is astonishing
Not too many singers can perform like the legends from the past.
Today's singers: "I need autotune."
Teddy: "Someone give me a stage."
This guy is really mesmerising…❤️
Teddy Pendergrass was one of the best singers of his time. Left us with his brilliant vocals but sadly way too soon.

The epitome of what a recording artist should be.

Was never privileged to see this gorgeous man, the voice wow....love him .......such a shame ....
...the GREATEST pure singr of all time......
Teddy's speaking truth and people in the audience are frontin' like they've never been hurt.
The British accents in the sing along almost gives the song a different sound. I love it. ❤️
One of my favourite artists and a big regret I never got to see him live in concert. Had a style all of his own; irreplaceable and never ever forgotten. RIP Teddy; will always love you. xx
Unico ... Che dire il numero 1,passione
