I think someone at Cubase might've fudged up, with the chord editor. That F --> maj --> 7 is a DOMINANT 7th chord (F7). To get the maj7 chord, I selected F --> maj --> j7 (Fmaj7). Hope that helps. Thanks for these excellent tutorials
