I am floored. I originally thought that they where making the thick bangle style bracelets and even then i thought that the design and work was beautiful but cutting them in 3pieces and how they look is gorgeous.

I'm south african and these bangles sell for R10-R20 a pack which is under a us $. We usually buy a different set to each saree, punjabi suit and other indian clothes. Its sad to see how its made and how much labour goes into it, wish they had safer working conditions
so the box at the end with like 9 bracelet is under a dollar?? Man they need to charge more to better work conditions. they need tables, masks to protect from particles, full body suit probably, a system to suck up particles and recycle them (its thermoplastic, they can reheat and reshape the bits that get shaved off) horrendous. its not a bad job but they need better structure

Looks cool but not wearing any mask while working cutting any kind of polymers is not good for the lungs these men will have long term respiratory problems because the fine dust from the plastic accumulated in their lungs and there’s no procedures to remove it it’s a very slow painful way to go, please wear a mask 😷.
