The polishers with the grinders should have masks on, same with the turners, silicosis is nasty. They do a very nice job though.
Oh, it' so beautiful to see these workers without gloves or any protections from the stone dust... Beautiful lamps, but what about the never-paid-enough human cost of them ?...
If you use gloves in the lathe you will get our fingers broked or cutted...

I don't like lamps that much, but I wish that I could learn about the type of glue that was used. In the United States we use a lot of clear color epoxy (two part epoxy), but the epoxy is brittle. Epoxy glue is the United States would break if you glued two pieces of stone together and tried to turn the stone on a lathe.
Plenty of people in the US and abroad use a lathe on epoxied items. Hell, youtube has countless videos of just that.

These guys make some great stuff but I cringe when I see how much time they spend breathing in this dust. If you work there please look up pneumoconiosis. Don’t wait for for your employer to help you. At the very least wear an N95 mask but a respirator is a better idea. You and your family will be thankful.

Each of them is an true artist and a master of the craft, but the sad thing is that with so much dust and nothing to protect their lungs, they will be lost to us and they would want better life for their children. This is how you loose a craft.

In the United States, there is a brand if glue used in the construction industry known as "liquid nails". "Liquid nails" is very popular glue, but the bond breaks easily. Liquid nails is used to glue tiles onto shower walls to make the walls impervious to water. You could make a lot of money putting this blue color glue inside of caulk tubes and selling the caulk tubes in North America. A "caulk tube" is a long cardboard tube with a plastic cone at one end. If you put the blue-colored glue inside of a waxed cardboard tube, so that it could be used as caulking, it would work better than liquid nails. Maybe sell the glue inside of a syringe. On the United States, epoxy glue is sold in syringes. It is very expensive, and the bond between two pieces of stone breaks easily.
pfff... it's as clear as day what type of "glue" they used, and I intended telling you about it, but I happened seeing: "You could make a lot of money...", so no, won't help you "make alot of money", sry... ^_^
