Eyebrows was turned into a mind controlled banshee after arthas killed her. In a moment of weakness on arthas part, eyebrows regained her will and rallied undead humans and elves that had also regained their minds. She founded a new faction of undead that were of sound mind but undead bodies. They call themselves the forsaken since they no longer have a proper place in the world. They joined forces with the horde later on.
I mean... You say sound mind, but its been very clear throughout the lore both in-game and without that part of their condition of undeath is dealing with their insanity. The sanest of the undead are simply those that have coped best or been able to remain tied to their mortal life, like Calia Menethil. And no doubt having your soul split in two like Sylvanas 'Eyebrows' Windrunner here would most likely make that impossible. Edit: Calia, not Dalia, an error that did lead to learning interesting lore about the warrior queen of Lordaeron past, Dalia Menethil. Who knew?
@@ShadeOnTheUtube Well it is less sound mind in the way people normally describe it, like being mentally balanced and well adjusted (which is kinda hard to do when you are a rotting pile of bones with some flesh still stuck to it). And more in the terms of having the capacity to understand things like actions having consequences, or making intellectual/moral choices, as opposed to how the undead under the lich king are which is 95+% mindless killing machines, most of which aren't even capable of speech.
I don't know where you're getting that from...sounds like speculation to me. Shalamayne is just two elven swords that got magically fused together and can split.
@@Nihilix89 My headcannon is that Varian's spirit was helping Varok or at the very least, the sword fullfiilled what he said: At the end of MoP, Varian warned the Horde that, "If your horde failed to uphold honor, as Garrosh did, we will end you." Shalamayne spliting for Varok meant that he upheld the honor of the horde and the one strike of Shalamayne ended Sylvanas's Horde, who failed to uphold that honor.
I'm the biggest WoW nerd ever, and I was like WTF when the sky shattered. The helmet has a connection to the afterlife and breaking it I guess opened a way in. Sylvanas' goal for years in WoW is to avoid the damnation of her soul Arthas the Lich King inflicted with his weapon. It's a general theme of the Forsaken (undead with free will), their souls are basically all wounded/damned and it seems Sylvanas' is trying to avoid that fate. We killed Arthas in like 3rd WoW expansion, so the guy she fights is the 'replacement' (long story). Important part is "There must always be a Lich King" to keep the mindless undead under control. Breaking the helm is bad. I definitely recommend watching Nobbel87 Arthas biography, he's one of the most important characters in Warcraft Lore and (apparently?) is going to be a part of Shadowlands.
The tree that sylvanas burned down is teldrassil, main capital and starting area for nightself players. At the launch of battle for azeroth you actually had to go in there while it was burning and evacuate as many citizens as you could, all while watching it burn down. As a nightelf player i was crying the entire time.
Short and sweet version of the lore: 1: The guy with silver hair and the sword with blue runes on it was Arthas. He's the one who killed Uther in the "Afterlives: Bastion" video you watched, and it's his soul that they dropped into the Maw. Arthas was the Prince of the main human Kingdom a long time ago, and he became obsessed with saving his people, no matter the cost, to the point that he took up the sword which corrupted him, and eventually put on the helmet, which turned him into 'The Lich King'. In the end, his obsession was turning everyone into undead, so that there would be no more war, no more sickness, and the world would be united in death, so that they could stand together to face the Burning Legion (The MAIN baddies of the Warcraft universe). Honorable goals, with obviously flawed and villainous methods. Also, anytime you see him without the helmet on, that takes place during the game Warcraft 3, and it's before he put the helmet on. 2: At the end of Bastion, when you see Arthas dying, another man by the name of Bolvar took the crown, which is what gives someone power over undead, and said that he would wear the crown, and stay there on the throne, to keep the undead from being a threat to the world. This meant that, because he was now wearing the crown, he was the new Lich King. Also, he looks like he does because he was burned by Dragon Fire, so his entire body is charred. If you want that story, you can watch the video called "The Wrathgate". Also also, it was the SWORD, called 'Frostmourne' that corrupted Arthas. So Bolvar wasn't corrupted as the Lich King, because he didn't wield the sword. 3: In the last video you watched here, Sylvanas goes and defeats Bolvar, and breaks the crown. To put it simply, this 'breaks the wall' between the 'real world', and the 'afterlife world'. It also means that now, without the crown, nobody is holding back the undead. That's actually going to be an event soon leading up to the release of the new expansion, where the players have to deal with the undead who are now rampaging all over the place. 4: In that other world, called "The Shadowlands", there is a powerful being known as "The Jailor", and he is who Sylvanas has been working for this entire time, and he's going to be a main villain of the upcoming expansion. He's the one who rules over "The Maw", AKA, the place Uther dropped Arthas into at the end of Afterlives: Bastion. So Bolvar, the guy with the blue flames and skull hammer, is a good guy, and in the upcoming expansion, he is the one who sends us after Sylvanas, into that 'Portal in the Sky'.
So for context and maybe someone else said it. The Sylvanas Warbringer cinematic up here goes right before the first one with Saurfang where he says “there was no honor in this” and he starts seeing her for what she truly is. As for cinematic looking different there are different art departments and they don’t have the resources and time to do the massive ones all the time plus it’s nice to see all these different styles being used by different artists.
tldr: sylvanas has died before, and saw that in death, souls are used to power the gods that are served on mortal planets... in short, gods dont care who dies, they will not help you, because you will eventually serve as their fuel in death. not sure what her end game is, but it seems shes trying to draw attention to the shadowlands (the place all beings go in death) so that the cycle will somehow be stopped.
Definitely, and her Warbringer video is soooooo incredibly emotional if one pays attention to it, the music along with the incredible visuals works so well to show her backstory in such and amazing way, while at the same time showing how powerful she is
@@HannaHsOverInvested Jaina's personal storyline has been an important part of the Warcraft saga since Warcraft III, when she was an apprentice mage of the Kirin Tor and the girlfriend to Arthas Menethil... the guy who became the Lich King. To say that Jaina Proudmoore is an important lore character is most definitely an understatement. That poor woman has had more than her share of loss and grief over the course of her life. If you get a chance, I highly encourage you to watch her full story from Battle for Azeroth; in my opinion, it's one of the best parts of the expansion.
@@HannaHsOverInvested This could be abit long for 1 video as the more detailed videos can be around 90min+ but i highly recommend to watch videos ppl have made of Jainas full storyline in the warcraft universe. There are alot of caracters that have suffered loss and sadness but none can compare to the tragedy of Jaina´s storyline. The fact that she hasent gone completely insane with all the emotional trauma she has been forced to endure is nothing short of a miracle. It would be great to se a reaction to the full video but with them being so long a 2-3 part is probadly needed or 1 video with a summery of what u thought about it.
For the final cinematic, she was fighting the lichking. Arthas was the original Lichking, using the helm to control the undead and his sword frostmourne to steal souls he was super strong. When we defeated him someone had to don the helm and keep the undead from just washing over the world. A paladin named Bolvar who had suffered a nasty dragon burn put it on to keep the undead at bay. That was him she defeated. Little more story on her: she can feel no joy, only the rage and pain she felt after dying. Time has made her more and more bitter and then she started working with some unseen force from the otherside. She got stronger and stronger the more people died. She started the entire war just to get strong enough to break that helm, open up a path to the other side and well.... only the new expansion will fully explain why.
Just a notation, Ner Zhul (an orc) was the first Lich king (so far known) and the one who forged that helmet she broke (helm of dominaton) , and the icy sword that sealed her and the others souls (frostmourne). Arthas (one of the Wrath expansion) is the second Lich king, Bolvar (this shadowland scorched guy) is the 3rd lich king.
@@alarydavidnin this is true with the caveat that arthas was sharing space with ner zhul in a more of merged souls kinda thing, but its important to know your audience and focus on pertinent details for the level of knowledge they are working with.
@@alarydavidnin also ner zhul didn't forge the helm. It was forged by a smith in the shadowlands, stolen by dreadlords along with frostmourne, and brought to azeroth.
@@patricke0n thats new, may come with the newest expansion but so far in the lore kil'jaiden gave ner zhul the power to forge it, remember the shadowlands were more an unknown place mentioned few times before
@@alarydavidnin ive been playing warcraft and wow since both existed my friend. Ner zhul had his body torn to shreds by kil jaden, this soul locked in the armor. He was never even claimed to have made it. No disrespect but you are just incorrect my friend. In warcraft rts they just kinda produced the armor in ice and locked his soul in it.
I love your shirt! Tha'ts so perfect. Yes eyebrows ripped the helmet in half, destroying the barrier between their world and the after life (Shadowlands). She's been working with a chaotic force in the Shadowlands, known as the Jailer, to feed him souls. They've interrupted the natural flow of life where souls are supposed to be sorted, and are instead being used to make the Jailer stronger. That's why she started the war with the Alliance to kill as many of the Alliance and Horde as she could. There's so much lore to talk about, and I could easily ramble on and on lol
The natural flow was interupted long before sylvanas tho, caused by the Jailer and some Nathrezim, frostmourne was the main tool and is the cause of sylvanas damnation. She is not responsible in any way, she just try to escape it.
2:50 Shadiversity did a good analysis on on "boobplates" and made a compelling argument that they probably don't reduce protection that much, if at all. Maybe you could be interested in it. That being said, WoW armor suffers from typical fantasy tropes (unprotected belly, lightly armored feet etc) as well as Warcraft-specific ones (oversized pauldrons, heavy rims). Warcraft as a fantasy setting always valued appearance over efficiency, so its armor is still very impractical in general.
Shadiversity is just downright wrong though. He's not an expert, he's a LARPer and a fantasy author. Nothing wrong with that, but he's not an authority on this subject. The mere fact that we have no evidence of boobplates in history says enough. And don't get started on ancient muscle cuirasses, since those are not comparable at all to iron or steel breastplates. Muscle cuirasses were far softer than steel or even iron. They were viable in their own context, but they are a death sentence in the age of shock cavalry and powerful missile weaponry. Medieval breastplates almost always have a globose shape for a good reason. Their strength depends on deflecting impacts. Thrusts towards the armour are deflected towards the sides rather than impacting dead on. In the even that it does hit dead center and doesn't slide off, the center is much stronger and should stop the impact. If this impact is instead guided towards the center rather than deflecting, you're creating a massive weakpoint. "Boobplates" would also have to be overly big and unpractical. There's already a hollow space in between the ribs and breastplate. If you want actual boobs on the plate, you'd either have to make the breastplate larger, which would hinder arm movement, or you'd have to decrease the space between the center of the breastplate and the ribs, which is a good way to crack your sternum.
@@joost1120 I have no way to answer in style to give your comment justice, so I'll settle on something like this: In the age of shock cavalry and powerful missile weaponry steel plate is irrelevant anyway. In my humble opinion.
@@andrewmelnikov292 Steel plate is incredibly important in the age of shock cavalry and powerful missile weaponry, both for defensive and offensive purposes. The invention of the arret de cuirasse, or lance rest, multiplied the power of the lance. The arret de cuirasse is the steel hook attached to many breastplates since the late 14th century. Without the arret de lance shock cavalry would not have been effective. The lance rest supports the lance and secures it to your breastplate. This way the impact isn't absorbed by your arms like a suspension spring, but instead delivered right into the target. This sudden increase in power caused a massive evolution in armour. We went from using primarily mail to using primarily plate in just 50 years. As for for defense, steel plate massively decreased the amount of deaths on the battlefield. Solid armour is incredibly good at deflecting. Modern testing has revealed that breastplates are very likely to prevent injuries from lances or arrows. If the armour's benefits do not outweigh the drawbacks, it is generally not worn. We see this in later times when firearms overtake bows and crossbows. Steel armour became a lot less common because it offered little protection against the powerful firearms. But even then, helmets and breastplates stayed relevant.
@@joost1120 Pretty much yes. I thought when you said "missiles", you were talking firearms. In that timeframe initially cuirass retained its relevance since flintlock guns were horribly slow to reload, so melee was still a very good way to deal with enemies (and with flintlocks accuracy was... problematic). Invention of machine guns pretty much made any non-bulletproof armor obsolete. Still, if we're talking about Shad, he primarily argues that "boob plates" can be more or less applicable (if uncommon) in fiction, where we usually see them. Just enough plausibility to cater to our, ahem, taste for exquisite sights. Realistically, I haven't seen enough sets of armor to say something for certain IRL. Then again, women were uncommon on IRL Medieval battlefields in general, so I'm not sure if we have many female sets to begin with.
@@andrewmelnikov292 "Invention of machine guns pretty much made any non-bulletproof armor obsolete." The same goes for any armour. If armour does not offer protection, then it is obsolete. Boob plates are just downright impractical. They offer no advantages and a lot of disadvantages. Even if we assume that it'll be strong enough to protect against the thrusts guided towards your heart, it's still impractical. It massively hinders your arm movement. A regular globose breastplate is already large enough to fit breasts in. Now imagine one that that size, but with breasts on them. You wouldn't even be able to touch your own elbow with your other hand. It's also heavier because of the extra material. The only reason why someone would make or wear a boob plate is for ceremonial purposes, or just because the author of the story wants boob plates.
Sylvanas is not "turning on her people" as you say. You see when she was alive she was a human skin colored elf, a blood elf (called high elves at the time), not a purple skinned elf like the one she's talking to (a night elf).
I'm really happy with this delivery, I think with these 4 cinematics you really rounded up the story of the war campaign which was Battle for Azeroth's main focus.
Think that this has missed out "Warbringers: Jaina" and "Warbringers: Azshara" - it included "Warbringers: Sylvanas" at the start of this part, but looks like it skipped over the other two. Those should be worth a watch =)
@@HannaHsOverInvested which is fair, because the Sylvanas one ties in with all these Saurfang cinematics waaay more, and I love my 500 pound green PTSD borderline personality boi
7:30 They are disagreeing on what defines the Horde. Saurfang is saying that the Horde was forged in a misguided sense of honor, and Sylvanas just perpetuates that legacy. He doubts that the Horde can be redeemed. He's calling the good leaders of the Horde (Thrall and Vol'jin) exceptions. He's even denying that he has honor himself. Anduin (ponytail guy) is reminding him that the Alliance also had evil leaders (like Arthas, the guy with the glowing blue sword, undead army and ice dragon). And that convinces him that they can protect their homeworld together.
The woman you were curious about is Lady Admiral Jaina Proudmoore. She is the queen of the human kingdom of Boralus who are part of the Alliance. A big part of her backstory is explained in one of the other Warbringer videos. She was among the first notable human royalty to advocate for peace between the Horde and Alliance. She's been through a lot and has seen a lot of her friends and family die over the years, turning her more and more jaded. She is a very powerful mage and is currently dating a dragon. The man with the evil looking sword is Arthas. He was the former Lich King (You watched him unfreeze a big skeletal dragon in a cinematic). Before he was defeated he was responsible for a lot of evil in the world. We are still dealing with the repercussions of his actions many years later. Sylvanna's soul is whole because she chose to keep it whole. Because she was such a good defender of her homeland and delayed his armory's invasion, Arthas turned her spirit in a Banshee so he could keep her around as a slave. That came back to bite him, because she and a some other undead managed to break free of his control and rebelled. They now have an undead kingdom as part of the Horde, trying to forge a new "life" for themselves.
Not sure if Jaina's still dating Kalec or not. I'm still trying to get through the latest two novels but haven't seen mention of him in them, and the prior novels made it seem like he was drifting away from her because she was a bit too bloodthirsty and angry for him to want to deal with. The relationship doesn't seem to have ever been shown or seen in-game. It's even more questionable because the last time I remember seeing the two of them sort of interacting is when Kalec voted in favor of the Kirin Tor working with the Sunreavers and Jaina hated the Horde so much she abandoned her position at the top of the KT to bounce out while the universe was under threat from the Legion. Him disagreeing on such a big thing just doesn't seem healthy to their relationship, considering they were often at odds over her anger.
7:31 Blackhand was the first (official) leader of the Horde (comprised of Orcs maddened by drinking demon blood). They atempted genocide against the Draenei in the planet Draenor (the Draenei lost that war but managed to hide in some places). Then that Horde crossed the Dark Portal and tried to invade the planet Azeroth (home to humans and others). The Humans defeated them and imprisoned the Orcs. From the imprisonment camps came an orc called Thrall who had not drank demon blood. This is the green guy you see the Orc on this cinematic, Saurfang, talk to in that other cinematic where a couple assassins pop up but beaten by the two Orcs. He also appears on this cinematic (the other orc). Thrall was the first leader of the new Horde (which also included other races). At a given point, Thrall steps down and names Garrosh Hellscream his successor; Saurfang doesn't mention Garrosh here because that one was a baddie. Garrosh is removed from power by the joint efforts of the Horde and the Alliance. Vol'jin becomes the new leader of the Horde. He is the first non-Orc to lead the Horde, he's a Troll. Vol'jin dies during Legion and his last act is namin Sylvanas Windrunner (long eyebrows) his successor. Saurfang was there from the start, since Blackhand and saw it all. Hence: "Thrall and Vol'jin (mostly peaceful, honorable leaders) were not the true heirs of Blackhand's bloody legacy, Sylvanas Windrunner is."
i was just about to go on to a rant why the boob armor thing is stupid and that you cant slice metal like its paper xD but Shadiversity's explains it better.
i know this isn’t the most important thing but i thought it could help differentiate the types of cinematics and what they’re used for. in-game cinematic: in-game character models are used but they make them look a little bit fancier. they’re usually used for important raid endings or important lore lessons within the expansion. awesome realistic cinematic: very very realistic versions of what’s in the game. they used to only be used as trailers for new expansions but battle for azeroth decided to try something new and use it to explain an important lore character and im really hoping they keep doing that in the future. art cinematic: a painted out version of what’s in the game. they’re used to explain important characters before a new expansion drops.
You'd have to go back to 1995 to really understand everything in these cinematics, but others have tried to summarize it already in the comments. All of this ties into Warcraft, 2 and 3, and WoW lore.
Saurfang dying was such a big deal to a lot of us Horde players. He’s been in the game since it came out in ‘04, n he’s been a big deal ever since. Hes loved by the fandom and seeing him go was bittersweet. And Sylvanas is magic because she’s a banshee (hence all the screaming). she’s undead, super powerful, and the first Dark Ranger. Think Legolas if Legolas was Emo and could control shadows. Love the videos. Been playing for 15 years but seeing someone on the outside see all this for the first time just reacting to what looks cool or first impressions makes this all fresh again for me, love it.
It can be confusing to grasp the different elf-cultures in the beginning but it's actually pretty easy to understand over time: Purple Elves = Night Elves, forest-based savage protectors Fair-skinned elves in blue armor (eyebrows in the flashback) = High Elves, the original fair skinned Elf-culture The High Elves renamed themselves to the Blood Elves after the flashback scene you saw where Eyebrows dies, because Arthas decimated 90% of the people. Blood Elves wear now red/gold instead of blue/gold
@4:02 the night elves are not her people. Sylvannas' people were the high elves. Thousands of years ago, all elves were one and the same, but many went their own way and evolved into multiple different kind of elves. And your confused about Sylvannas being the true "heir" to being warchief is because the OG horde was actually evil. They had active demon blood in their veins.
"Thousands of years ago, all elves were one and the same, but many went their own way and evolved into multiple different kind of elves." reminds me of Tolkien's elves
5:30 She died. That's part of what the sword does: it turns its victims into undead slaves. Sylvanas died, and yes, part of her soul is destroyed by Frostmourne (that's the name of the sword). She spent a whole bunch of time having to do what Arthas told her, but then through plot shenanigans she and a bunch of others regained their free will.
This is not true, part of her soul was not "destroyed." As the lore goes, Frostmourne consumes souls, but it doesn't destroy them. Otherwise she wouldn't have been raised into an undead with a mind of her own.
As always you never fail to deliver entertaining reactions. For a little info on Shadowlands Afterlifes: Maldraxxus (when you get to it), the main subject is Draka. She is the mother of Thrall (green Jesus). He is the baby that you see close to the beginning of the video. Till your next upload, stay safe my friend.
She doesn't hate them. She understands that Azeroth is but a small bubble, a prison within which the races are meant to languish forever, and she wants out.
fun fact; that tree eyebrows burnt down is actually LITERAL MILES away from the shore that those catapults are on. the tree is just really big so it looks close. they knew what they wanted to have happen but weren't clever enough to write it out happening in a way that makes sense. another fun fact; mak'gorah is a challenge for leadership where you are allowed one weapon and no magic... a mok'gorah has been seen in the game 3 times and once in the movie, and in all 4 occasions someone has cheated.
Right? this darling streamer has some inherent racial prejudices she needs to work through. Poor girl. Hopefully life will be gentle with her education
For people that have not played WOW, the challenge is that there are so many years of story to go through. The videos in general are great , but there is so much gap between the videos. If there are key videos and in game content that is important, it would be warcraft 3, that is the main story to watch to give background.
The white haired lady wearing the white and black dress is Jaina Proudmoore, one of the more famous warcraft characters. There is alot of Battle of Azeroth content about Jaina that you can watch. Here is a list of Jaina videos in order from left to right: Warbringers: Jaina -> The Siege of Lordaeron: Turn The Tide -> Lordaeron Throne Room Confrontation - Alliance -> Jaina's Nightmare -> Arrival to Kul Tiras - Alliance -> warcraft Realm Of Torment -> The Return of Hope: Kul Tiras -> Alliance Siege of Dazar'alor Cinematic -> Rastakhan Dazar'alor Ending Cinematic -> An Unexpected Reunion -> Crossroads - Cinematic. Outside of the Warbringer one, all of these are in the style of the second clip you watched in this video, the one that uses the ingame graphics. Jaina is an interesting character, she starts out kinda broken in BFA after events that took place earlier in world of warcraft, her videos may also answer some of your questions about the story as these videos feature more of Sylvanas (eyebrows), Saurfang (orc), Thrall (orc with the fur) and Anduin (blondie). It will also likely raise more questions, it's alot of content. Hope you check it out or put it on the vote thingy.
just for context and I am sure it has been pointed out before, but I cannot not mention it whenever I see this. That tree was not just a tree, it was a city full of civilians.
I'll try to explain a few things to give you better context. Sylvanas (eyebrows) was a High Elf (now called Blood Elves) who had her soul ripped out by the Lich King (Arthas) and turned into a banshee who worked for him. Eventually she was able to break free from his control and reclaim her body, but now she is undead. Sylvanas then became the Queen of the Forsaken (undead who have broken away from the Scourge (the Scourge is the endless undead army controlled by the Lich King). The Forsaken joined the Horde and eventually Sylvanas becomes Warchief of the Horde prior to all the Battle for Azeroth stuff. The other woman in the first cinematic is a Night Elf, which are different to the High/Blood Elves. Their home is the world tree Teldressil, which Sylvanas burns in order to start a war between the Horde and the Alliance. In the third cinematic (Reckoning) Saurfang is leading a combined army of Alliance and members of the Horde who are loyal to him against Sylvanas and the rest of Horde who continue to follow her. The are going to do battle at the Gates of Orgimmar (capital city of the Orcs, as well as the Horde), but Saurfang does not want to shed more blood, particularly against fellow members of the Horde, which is why he challenges Sylvanas to Mak'gora (the orc "duel of honor"). Also just fyi when Andiun says, "I put you on this path", he's not trying to make it about him. He realizes that Saurfang will most likely die fighting her, and is feeling guilty. Ok so for the final cinematic, this takes place right after Reckoning. So as far as we know Sylvanas disapparates from Orgimmar and then shows up at Ice Crown. Ice Crown Citadel is the home of the Lich King and the Scourge. This is where you as the player defeat Arthas, previous Lich King. Afterwards the spirit of Arthas' father, proclaims that there must always be a Lich King. Basically if no one is wearing the Helmet, there will be no one to control the Scourge and keep them in check. Jumping back to when the attack on Ice Crown first begins a rogue Forsaken faction attack everyone (Alliance, Horde, and Scourge) with a gas attack. It kills Bolvar and many others who were at the Wrathgate and then some Red Dragonflight come and burn all the plague gas. Bolvar dies and his body becomes warped by the dragon fire, but he is brought back to life by the Lich King and then tortured. So jumping back to after the Lich King's defeat, Tirion Fordring is going to put the Helm of Domination on when Bolvar shows up and tells Tirion Fordring to place it on his head instead. Basically he has nothing left to live for so he volunteers to sit on the frozen throne. So that brings us the the Shadowlands cinematic where Sylvanas fights the current Lich King (Bolvar) and takes the helmet ("The veil between life and death"), and instead of putting in on herself and becoming the Lich Queen, she rips it in half which breaks the barrier between Azeroth (life) and the Shadowlands (death). And basically that's where we are at in the current story. Shadowlands in the next expansion set to come out, and we will learn about Sylvanas' motivations for everything she's done, etc.
To answer your first questions. Arthas tire Sylvanas's soul from her body and raised her as an undead banshee, that is what they were depicting in that video. The elf she is speaking to is not one of her own people but another group of elves entirely. While they have a shared lineage it is separated by millenia of distance, and even animosity by this point and the two groups of elves are on separate sides of the ongoing conflict.
I still tear up watching Anduin carrying a leader of the Horde into their home city. There has been such animosity between the factions that up until now, there was no belief that the leader of the Alliance would carry an opposing faction leader into their own city. I always loved Varian (Anduin's Father) and Anduin has become even more of a King than Varian could have ever dreamed of being.
He carried a traitor into the city, a jackass who has more Horde soldiers lives under his belt then anything. And now the Horde is led by a bunch of Alliance jizz-garglers, it is disappointing that the honorable Horde has been reduced to the Alliance servant-state.
The thing is, from those trailers and videos alone, no one will ever get the full story. Even from what is told in the game itself, there is so much lore missing. That is why there are over 20 Books and Novellas, many short storys on Blizzards Website, comics, audio dramas and there is still more to come with every years. World of Warcraft is now 15 years old with Shadowlands being the eight expansion. And pretty much every book that has come out, has so much going on in it, that it could fill another expansion with content.
Info about the Shadowlands trailer: - Ice Crown Citadel was created by Arthas, the Lich King. (Anduin mentions him in the Negotiation when you said "I don't know who those people are". The other person he mentions, Daelin, is the blonde white-streak haired girl (Jaina)'s dad.**) Arthas was a human prince tricked into becoming the king of all the undead. His sword, Frostmourne, steals the soul of anyone it kills. That's the sword that made Devos freak out when she saw it in the Afterlives: Bastion cinematic. His helm, the Helm of Domination gave him control over all undead on the planet. You've seen him kill Saurfang's son in Old Soldier, Uther in the last video, and Sylvanas so far. Sylvanas "Eyebrows" Windrunner was turned into a Banshee by him. He did it to punish her because she nearly stopped him from gaining his full power. - Arthas is the guy Uther threw into the Maw in the last video. Where he died and Uther and Devos claimed his soul is the same place the fight here happens- on the Frozen Throne atop Ice Crown. - The current Lich King, Bolvar, was a human paladin who helped defeat Arthas. He was almost killed with Blight but was saved by the fiery breath of the red dragonflight. That's why he's a burny boy. After Arthas died, Bolvar put on the Helm of Domination to keep the undead Scourge from rampaging and killing everything on the planet. He's the "usurper" Sylvanas fights here. The Helm of Domination, like Frostmourne, was created in the Maw. That's why breaking it had the power to break the veil. Her breaking it also means we now have to stop the Scourge all over again, since they're no longer contained. That's the "pre-patch event" for the Shadowlands expansion. - Ice Crown is literally "The Veil between Life and Death". That's why Arthas built it there because that's where the veil was the thinnest and he was strongest. Sylvie just shattered the veil, allowing us to go to the Shadowlands in the upcoming expansion. The Shadowlands are the infinite realms of the afterlife. That's where Uther went to become a blue angel boy, aka "Bluether". The part of it you see in the sky is in the heart of the Maw- Torghast (which literally means "ghost tower"). - The Maw is an inescapable literal hell where irredeemable souls are sent. But we learned that something in the Shadowlands broke and now ALL souls go there instead of going to the Arbiter for judgement. The Arbiter is basically a construct that works like St Peter or the sorting hat, deciding which afterlife souls go to. The more souls a realm has, the more power it has. Since all the souls now go to the Maw, it and its ruler, The Jailer™, are becoming increasingly powerful and the other realms are starving. Sylvanas works for the Jailer, and it's HIS power she uses here, and used to kill Saurfang in Reckoning. It's the black wispy smoke that comes from her, and no one living knows what kind of magic it is, or can even sense it. **(That's a story you'll hear about if you watch Jaina's Warbringer- which is the best of the three, imo. It's a song! Jaina is one of the most powerful mages ever, and has usually been a pacifist, but got pretty upset when the Horde nuked her city and killed her boyfriend. Theramore was also the city where she let the Horde kill her father because he was a xenophobic war monger and it was the only way to preserve the peace with the Horde she was building there. Yeah, then a xenophobic hate monger leading the Horde blew it up as thanks. :/ Jaina has a pretty tragic story. Actually, if you watch Jaina's Warbringer, which happens in the ruins of her city after it was bombed, this video has the rest of her main story in BfA: ua-cam.com/video/mOHqTf91WTU/v-deo.html)
Which boyfriend do you mean her loved one arthas was killed years ago after this we had Kalec who is alive... Do you mean Ronin? She hated the horde specially for the murder of Kindy her apprentice
Sylv is empowered by the jailer but all abilities are hers. Even the chain arrow thing, she already used it on Arthas. And the shadow bolt she throw at saurfang is just a classic banshee's ability, delivered with the mind control and the smoky form.... Someday I wonder if the current blizzard's writters ever played their own game in the last 10y...
As to your point about Armour. It really depends on who is wearing it. Trained archers (like how Sylvanas started out as) tend to think the best defense is to not get hit in the first place, so they go for form fitting light Armour they can move quickly in. I agree with your point if they are bulky warriors that tend to like their combat up close and take a lot of hits.
Arthas, previous lich king, slaughtered thousands over thousands and commands the dead to kill more than that, the players ended up killing him getting Bolvar a good guy (basically) to be the next lich king and Daelin was a second war Admiral who had a deep seated hatred for orcs and would kill them just because they were orcs, killing many even innocents of the horde. His sister gained the trust of the horde but then he went off to pillage and raid orc settlements all over the country without mercy
Just want to clarify here that when Saurfang talks about the "path of glory" being paved in bones he doesn't mean it figuratively he means it literally. They paved a road with the bones of the Draenei you can see it in the zone Hellfire Peninsula in outland.
About 7:30 - When the Horde was found, it was being manipulated by demons. The orcs became very bloodthirsty and led many wars against the Alliance during this time. Eventually, the Horde tried changing its ways under the leadership of people like Thrall and Vol'jin (mentioned in this part of the video). Saurfang notes that Sylvanas embodies the original Horde, and implies that perhaps the Horde was broken from the beginning. * You've seen the Wrath of the Lich King cinematic. In it, we see Arthas (as the Lich King) raising his undead army. He was the one who killed and raised Sylvanas ("Eyebrows") unto undeath. He also killed his mentor, Uther (from the Afterlives video you watched before). Players defeated Arthas in the game (about 10 years ago), but a new Lich King must always be present in order to 'control' the mindless undead. This new Lich King, named Bolvar, is the one Sylvanas fights in the last video. The realm you see in the sky after Sylvanas breaks the Lich King's crown is the Shadowlands. It's basically the afterlife of the Warcraft universe.
The red fire was the fire of life, the blue fire was the fire of death. The crown was the key between Azeroth and the afterlife. When she broke it in have, she tore the veil between the worlds
The undead (Forsaken) were denied as a "race" by the living even if they fought against the same enemies in life. Sylvanas is "mean" because she doesn't care about the living. When she died the 2nd time (after the Lich King was defeated) she found only suffering in the afterlife and she came back (resurrected) and swore to protect her people. They will kill anyone who stands against them (horde or alliance). Most of the undead don't know what happens in the afterlife and they don't understand Sylvanas's actions. We don't either, but we will see in this next expansion ;)
I'll try to do a simple rundown on things, which hopefully won't be overwhelming but cover the main stuff. Sylvanas used to be a leader of the High Elf military, and defended their lands when the Lich King (Arthas) invaded. The main thing to know about Arthas/Lich King is he was a prince who went nuts and put on the Helm of Domination which let him control the Scourge (Undead), the Scourge being a plan of the Burning Legion to invade Azeroth (the world... of Warcraft). Arthas intended to use the Elves' magical Sunwell to revive a dead necomancer (Kel'thuzad), which of course the Elves weren't going to go along with, so he slaughtered his way through them, wiping out 90% of them along the way. Since Sylvanas stood in his way, he chose to spite her by forcing her spirit from her body as a banshee. She'd later get her body back, but forever be tainted by the experience. Side note for later cinematic: Arthas gets taken down in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, but Bolvar Fordragon, who'd been burned by red dragons (hence his burnt appearance) put on the Helm because there always has to be a Lich King to control the Scourge, so he'd spend all his days in Icecrown keeping them under control. So... current war situation. Vol'jin was the last Warchief, died fighting the Legion, says the spirits told him to name Sylvanas Warchief (likely a fake spirit). The heroes of Azeroth do beat the Legion, but the Titan Sargeras stabs Azeroth with his sword (Titans are HUGE), wounding it (oh, and Azeroth's technically a living creature). Its blood comes up as super-magical crystals called Azerite, and everyone wants them, so Sylvanas says, "Hey, let's stop the Alliance coming over here and taking it by taking control of Teldrassil" (the big tree, which doubles as a city). Elf lady kind of poked something in her, so instead she has it burned. Which leads to the Alliance coming for the Horde at Lordaeron (pretty sure you've seen those cinematics). Alliance sort of wins, and captures Saurfang (the Orc often talking to Anduin, the blonde young man who's king of Stormwind and de facto leader of the Alliance), but Sylvanas unleashes Blight on the city... basically a plague that kills everything. Anduin released Saurfang who hunted down allies for a rebellion against Sylvanas (including Thrall, the original Warchief). They finally muster what forces they can for an assault on Orgrimmar (capital of the Horde), where Saurfang challenged Sylvanas and died. Afterward, members of the Alliance also went into the city to pay respects to Saurfang. Final cinematic... Sylvanas is taking on Bolvar as the Lich King. She's bolstered by an otherworldly entity called the Jailer, making her pretty potent. Beats him, and destroys the Helm of Domination, in the process tearing a hole between the mortal plane and the Shadowlands (where souls are supposed to go when they die). Seems all her moves have been to help make the Jailer even more powerful, though his ultimate endgame is unknown right now. Oh, and the woman with blonde hair with a bit of white... That's Jaina Proudmoore. Long history, complicated character, kind of waffles between wanting peace or wanting to wipe out the Horde, though the latter started after former Warchief Garrosh Hellscream dropped a magical nuke on her city Theramore and wiped it out. She's an insanely powerful mage. And also a character I liked enough I named one of my cats after her. (Amusingly, she was also a thing with Arthas at one point, but turned her back on him when he started showing signs of being not so pure.) I hope that wasn't so vague as to be confusing, but even trying to just gloss over things, this got kind of long.
Sylvanas Windrunner was a High Elf and the other one is a Night Elf. She died when Lich King stabbed her. Her soul was trapped in Frostmourne. He raised her as a banshee but over time she managed to escape his control. After the Lich King was killed she considered her task finished and killed herself bu jumping off Icecrwon Citadel. It would be too long to explain but in the Afterlife whe met the Valkyr and made a pact with them. Their leader took her place in the Maw so she could "live" again. She died one more time and more Valkyr sacrificed themselves so she could live again. She is an undead. Arthas Menethil was the Lich King and Daelin Proudmoore was Jaina's fathe, the woman you were asking about. To really understand the Shadowlands cinematic you need to watch the Wrathgate (where Dranosh Saurfag, Varok Saurfang's died) and Fall Of The Lich King cinematics. They both tie in to the Afterlives cinematics. In order to control the undead hordes there must always be a Lich King. When Arthas Menethil died Bolvar Fordragon, a Paladin who had been badly burned by dragon fire (that's why he was red before turning blue) took up the burden and put on the Helm of Domination. But since he was a Paladin serving the Light, he was not the real Lich King and that's why she called him a usurper. When she destroyed the Helm of Domination she tore open the fabric of reality and open the way to the Shadowlands where souls go when they die. Also, you missed 2 of the Warbringers cinematics, Jaina and Azshara.
As story goes, the man Sylvanas fought in the last cinematic is named Bolvar Fordragon, who is actually a good guy. The lore of Warcraft is super expansive and hard to even fathom grasping in the form of these cinematic shorts. Basically, the prior Lich King, Arthas, was a paladin prince who was tempted towards darkness by the original Lich King, which was a spirit trapped within a suit of armor and a crown. Eventually Arthas put the armor on himself and became one with it, ruling over an army of undead known as the scourge. Years later when we defeat Arthas in game it becomes apparent that without someone to control the scourge they would go wild and wreak havoc on the world. Bolvar, who was taken captive by Arthas and tortured via dragon fire (hence his burnt appearance) offers to wear the crown and take control of the scourge himself as he feels the mortal world will no longer welcome or comfort him. Essentially sacrificing himself in order to keep the scourge at bay. Sylvanas taking the crown and ripping it in half essentially destroyed the Lich King outright, and she is doing it as part of a bargain she made with a very powerful entity on another plain of existence. But, that would mean catching up to the current story and, risking spoilers.
Warbringers: Jaina if you want to see more of the lady with the white hair. As well, you hit the mark in saying that things are a bit confusing since you're just watching short videos of a universe with so much going on in it. I'm sure many people in the comments are trying to fill those gaps but it can still be quite a challenge to follow. Still, your reactions are awesome and filled with great insight from someone outside of this story's universe. Of all the people I've watched react to this stuff, you catch on in ways others haven't. I love it. Love the shirt as well! Excited to see more! :D
Here's a hack for identifying significant moments when characters and such are alien to you and maybe the gravity of something is lost (but it might be something major): watch the 'blizzcon audience reaction' videos for the various trailers. You'll see the 3 movies as watched by an audience of rabid fans and all the gasping and cheering etc.. quickly guides your attention to things which you'll have a rapid affinity for noticing in other movies and lore that you read.
You were asking all the right questions HannaH. How does she have all that power indeed, in the lore she's just a slightly more powerful than regular Banshee, which are powerful beings alright, but technically can't resist the power of the Helm of the Lich King. So that is essentially the fundamental question of the Storylines of Shadowlands expansion. Us who are keeping up with the Lore know, but officially it hasn't actually been fully explained.
She doesn't hate her own people. After her transformation she is under the control of Arthas and he forces her to attack her own people against her will. In the present, night elves live on the tree, and Sylvanas is a (undead) blood elf. There has long been an enmity between both. And she has a plan ...
Saurfang achieved martyrdom level and the city falls without a siege. Eyebrows destroyed the Lich King's Helmet rupturing the barrier. Think Greek mythology, she just defeated Cerberus and opened the gates to the Underworld. She said "this world is a prison" now everyone living and dead may move freely about the various planes. What could possible go wrong?
I always liked the method of just trying to watch videos about a character that interests you. Then just following that rabbit hole for as long as your interest remains.
@@HannaHsOverInvested You should look into the the story of Arthas. He actually ties into a lot of things you've already watched about WoW including Sylvanas (Eyebrows), Uther (the blue angel guy), Jaina (the woman you said "who's she?" about in this video), The Lich King (The guy with "the sword"), the new Lich King (the guy with the hammer in this video fighting Sylvanas), and ultimately will probably tie back into the new expansion (Shadowlands, which you watched the trailer for in this video). He didn't interact with the current story that you've been mostly watching directly, but his story is pretty foundational to a lot of the character developments that Blizzard has been building on for a lot of WoW over the past 15 years (specifically he has a lot to do with why Sylvanas is the way she is) and has had ramifications that continue on. The main problem is I don't really know a good video to react to that goes over his story that isn't just another content creator just kind of telling his story either seriously or humorously. The Wrath of the Lich King cinematic is a masterpiece, but you really need to already know his story for it to really have the full impact.
Btw the tree she burned was important to the world's health as well as housing millions of elves, basically a significant portion of their civilization.
I can't find a comment mentioning this, but it's implied Arthas "Used" her body in front of her soul multiple times as part of her breaking and torture, one of the reasons that even though I've ALWAYS hated her, I slightly excused some of her actions. She has had HORRIBLE things done to her, things most of the faction leaders couldn't imagine.
Remember "The Maw" that was talked about in the Shadowlands cinematic? With Uther and the Angel peoples? That portal Sylvanas opened up by breaking the helm is a direct link to the center of The Maw. LOVE watching your videos and analyses! I'll try to answer any questions you have on these videos.
Wasnt female armor just invented to please people that wanted more women involved, when women with armor in reality was close to as rare as a double rainbow.
Women wore the same armor that men wore... Only difference being if a woman had big tits they made a bigger chest plate... but it was still a chest plate not boob plates :-D
I recently stumbled upon this channel and what really interests me is to see an ""outsider's"" point of view and reaction to the things I love and enjoy and what makes this channel's content stand out is how Hannah ; 1 Doesn't overreact 2 She doesn't speak a lot , comments and give opinion BUT pays attention to the video's content, story and most importantly the dialogue 3 If she wants to speak she actually pauses the video and not miss 70% of the great moments while not paying attention unlike most others 4 The shirt, I love it And to further add about the impracticality of the armor, as she mentioned the shape of the breastplates guide the arrows/blows towards the torso, which is exactly the opposite of what real breastplates and helmets do, furthermore, people used to wear lots of padding underneath their armor to absorb impacts. Love the videos Edit; answering the bit at 5:40 (sure lots of people did already lol) ; Sylvanas was a high elf, the ones she fought against were night elf (pretty much relatives but not really) The difference between what happened to her and Uther is that she was raised as an undead banshee to serve in the scourge army, that would have been Uther's fate had he not prayed to the light to save his soul (which, as far as I know, broke into two pieces, one saved the other imprisoned) EDIT II ; to quickly simplify and explain the last cinematic ; The guy with the crown is Bolvar, he was the lich king (whoever wears the helm of dominance becomes LK and controls the undead) he volunteered to be the next lich king to keep the scourge under control, previous lich king was Arthas, the one who killed Sylvanas in the first video, Explaining the color thing ; Bolvar was a human, during the fight against Arthas he died and was "resurrected" by the red dragons' flames, that's why he's red and burning , What happens in the cinematic ; when he sees Sylvanas he is red ; the undead were calm under control , when he went blue (it was nerzhul, the soul within the helmet) taking control Skipped lots of details but that's pretty much it XD
Thank you!! I was just quoting a previous video I had watched on breast plates... I have no idea how armour works but I'm pretty sure it isn't tight enough to help boobs defy gravity as in the case of Eyebrows. Thanks for the info!!
Im sure others have posted. Green Guy with white marks on his face is Saurfang from the other cinematics. WHite girls with white hair and gold highlights is Jaina, shes one of the most powerful mages in the world and the Royal princess of Kul tiras, which is where this expansdion takes place. THe others are all the leaders of their own factions races. Big bull guy leads the tauren. Red armor is the blood elf ambassador. These represent the races of azeroth who are outspoken against sylvanas who is leading the horde.
So, when it comes to Eyebrows's backstory, she became what is known as a banshee. Under Arthas, the Lich King's control, she was a slave to him, until his power started to wane. She betrayed him, he fled to Northrend and she regained her body in a dead state. She became what we call her as the Banshee Queen and she led The Forsaken, which consisted of undead that were left behind by Arthas
You should definitely watch the Team Fortress 2 Cinematics. They are the Meet the Team (it’s a playlist of videos which includes all the characters Heavy, Engineer, Soldier, Demoman, Scout, Spy, Sniper, Medic and Pyro), Expiration Date and Jungle Inferno.
So the last one: the burning man (the guy in the trailer not the convention) was placed as king of zombies so that they wouldn't go full evil and destroy everything. She has evil darkness powers for reasons we don't totally understand (presumably we'll learn about that in a later reveal). Initially we're meant to think Eyebrows wants to use the crown to become queen of zombies, but instead she breaks it making that whole "veil between life and death" thing more literal than before. She breaks a massive hole in the sky and the weird dark reflection we see is supposed to be the world of the dead. When first watching it you're not really supposed to know what it is, it's supposed to be a massive =O moment, as everything seemed like it was leading towards her becoming zombie queen and instead all this happens. There's also some weird inconsistencies here that they had to fix with some awkward retcons. Don't worry if this clashes with your understanding of other wow story stuff, just defer to your previous understanding for the most part.
its so fascinating to see the perception of the Female Social Justice Warrior. You notice the Impracticality of the Armor the Elf wears, but not the Danger of the living dead that are approaching. I think how Myopic you are is best summed up at 3:07 when you inquire "are they Dead'?
The new Lich King, The guy who goes from red to blue, was burned as he died of undead plague by dragon fire of the red dragons. Red dragons are the guardians of life here, so their flames purified his undead form leaving him in eternal torment. Poor Bolvar :(
For Sylvanas, I think the saying: "We don't see the world as it is, we see it as we are" fits perfectly in the first video. As Arthas turned her into an undead banshee, he denied her a natural death and trapped her in the world of the living. She projects her own foolishness as a living elf on all other living and hates them for not appreciating what was untimely taken from her, which is why she went full on genocidal maniac. But I think in her own twisted mind she's thinking by killing them, she's doing them a favour and setting them free, granting them the afterlife she was denied. Just a little context from the lore books as to why all "the suffering": As Banshee Queen of the Forsaken (the undead in World of Warcraft, who regained control of their minds after Arthas left) she and her people are trapped in their dead bodies, they feel, smell (and even taste🤢) their own rotting flesh. This does of course in no way excuse anything she did, but at least I can see why she's so cranky. 😋
The Forsaken cannot smell, nor taste their rotting flesh; they're technically still dead which means nerve endings and other intricate part of the body don't work. Such as they no longer need to sleep, eat, or drink liquid. They can, however, get those senses back if they are healed by the Light (which hurts them)
Sylvanas didn't hate her own people at this point of Cinematic. Her body and soul were now owned by Arthas and he ordered her to kill her people against her own will, while she was aware of what she's doing
@@HannaHsOverInvested Arthas (White long hair man with a sword,Darth Vader basically) later after that became the Second Lich King The last Cinematic you just watched is about her taking down the person who was the Third Lich King, but not Arthas. She took him down for 2 reasons: She had a deal with the afterlife God of Death that included opening a portal and destroy the crown and she also wanted some vengeance for Lich King. Now there's a rumor that she's going into the Afterlife world (Shadowlands) to beat Arthas's ass in Hell
@@almas4663 Personally I think it's exactly the opposite. She killed herself (her second death BTW) right after the Fall of the Lich King way back in 2010. In a short story she heard Arthas being tormented and couldn't really grasp where her soul was. (We're now pretty sure that was the Maw in the Shadowlands). I THINK Blizzard hasn't told us this yet but her pact with the Jailer in the Maw is actually something Arthas told her to do. She probably found out his actions as the Lich King weren't really his and I'd like to think she intends to betray the Jailer. There's also reason to believe by breaking the cycle of life and death there's going to be some sort of cosmic reset at the end of the next expansion. So whatever happens after Shadowlands is going to be crazy. Warcraft 4 or World of Warcraft 2 maybe? Who knows.
The Eyebrows doesn't hate her own people. In life Sylvanas was a high elf, the ones she burnt are the night elves. There're different. You didn't get Saurfangs story about the Horde. It was founded because the demons (who corrupted the orcs) wanted to destroy Azeroth. The first warchief of the Horde was Blackhand. He was pretty awful guy. Then there were good and peacful warchief Thrall and Vol'jin (Saurfang mentioned them, btw you see Thrall talking to Saurfang in the Reckining). So Saurfang meant that Sylvanas inherited Blackhand's bloody leagacy. BTW the lady Anduin spoke to in Negotiantions is Jaina. She has her own Warbringer cinematic and it is great. You need to watch it along side with Azshara. In the last one the Eyebrows opend the way to the realm of death, the Shadowlands. If I say more, then you'll be probably even more confused. Your shirt is great.
Sylvanas, “eyebrows” freed herself from her master Arthas and went o Icecrown to enact a terrible vengeance on him. The players killed him before she could get to him. Having been denied her revenge and having nothing to live for, she threw herself off the top of icecrown to end her torment. While she was in hell, Nerzul, the helmet’s ruler, sent Valkyrie to take saylvanas’s place in hell and returned her to the mortal plane. This is the storyline you are following now
To answer your question about why the art was lower quality, it just came down to them not having enough time. Also, using in game graphics for scenes the players were actually involved with made it less jarring when one could talk to them afterwards and they looked exactly the same.
You are absolutely right about the Armour. Especially Female fantasy armour is designed to look good ( mostly intended for teenage boys). Rarely are they practical. Even the male armour is usually to big, flashy and often times just ridiculous. There is a good reason we never had such kinds of armour in real life. Real life armour needs to be practical but usually also cheap. And we have seen in history many times over that too much armour can be a huge disadvantage.
She can't go to the therapy :D Basically she became "Banshee", because that guy with that sword wanted to make her suffer, and won't grant her "sweet" death, also want her to serve him. Then she freed herself from his will and found her body. She became undead, later known as forsaken. Gathered more like her and came back to alliance, her people. But as human nature is, they refused them cause now, they were dead - monsters. She is hot and stuff in those cinematic videos :D but they rot, have maggots in their body etc. They can't reproduce or regenerate obviously, so they have to repair themselves (she can get resurrected by Valkyrs, what happened few times, but Valkyr have to sacrifice itself while doing so). And they can't feel anything, only pain, anger, basically only bad emotions. If they try to heal, they'll come to sense, feel a lot of physical pain, smell their own rotten meat etc. and they'll go crazy and die. So they don't to that. Its told that when she speaks, you can see and hear skin around her mouth crack. It seems like its not possible to live around those forsaken. Even if you would like to. If someone is truly in love with an undead, they have to become one. Plus every undead or forsaken have urges to make the others feel like they feel what makes them sadistic :D they have to do it from time to time to feed their hunger for death.
Eyebrows (or Sylvanas) was murdered by Arthas who has come up in a few other videos. She was turned into a banshee, and actually after becoming a banshee on the battlefield and seeing the destruction and what she’s become, she let out a scream so loud it made her people’s ears bleed and killed some of them actually. Her body was locked away in a chest to keep her separate. In Arthas’ moment of weakness her and her banshees broke free of his will, and actually almost assassinated Arthas but he was saved. She found her body, hence why she doesn’t look like a banshee, she looks like an undead elf, and took the undead and her banshees that had broken free of the Lich King to form the Forsaken, who joined the Horde. Please note I’m not an expert on Warcraft 3 by any mea am but this is my understanding of the lore. ‘The Negotiation’ doesn’t look as good as the others because it’s an in-game cinematic, made with the game models, not actual actors. In this cinematic, they talk about assaulting Orgrimmar, the capital city of the Horde where eyebrows is hiding. Saurfang talks about how he realises that ‘his Horde’, the one she said fought for honor above all else, was founded on a great lie and bloody legacy, and he says that it’s been responsible for too many villains. Anduin bites back the the Alliance holds just as much blame as the horde for atrocities. He mentions Arthas, the Lich King, who was formerly the Prince of Lordearon that used to be the heart of the Human Kingdom, he went on to decimate millions and become the most iconic and well-written villain in Warcraft history. He also mentions Daelin. He was the Lord Admiral and Ruler of Kul’tiras, a Kingdom that was once part of the Alliance (it’s back in the Alliance as of BFA but for a long while it wasn’t). He was Grnad Admiral of the Alliance, so he was supreme commander of the Alliance’s naval forces. This was all during the second war, which was Alliance vs Orcs that we’re invading Azeroth. During this time, a New Horde rose up, one that didn’t want to take over Azeroth, rather make a peaceful life here without so much fighting. Daelin, however, absolutely hated the Orcs and believed they could never change, and would be glad to see them all dead. Eventually he was so consumed by rage and devoted to vengeance that his own daughter, in an effort to bring peace, had to step aside and allow the New Horde to kill him. The daughter is actually Jaina Proudmoore, the new leader of Kul’Tiras and the one who answers Anduin when he asks where her home is Saurfang yells that there could never be peace between the Alliance and the Horde no matter what, and that they would always go back to war eventually. They eventually come to the conclusion that even if peace could never Happen they needed to keep fighting Sylvanas because she is trying to destroy Azeroth, and though they would never get along, it is all of their homes. A Mak’gora is an old Orcish tradition, where they fight to the death for control. The contestants aren’t allowed to use their own Weapons in case they’re enchanted or laced with poison or something that would give an unfair advantage. Anduin giving Saurfang his sword (the sword’s name is Shalamayne) is a massive deal because as you’ve seen Shalamayne was his father, Varian’s sword, that he recovers on the Broken Shore. Additionally, I think that actually the swords were always separate, like Varian was, until the two sides of Varian were combined again (that’s a whole other story). Why was that a big deal? To put it simply, Varian is also known by the name Lo’Gosh. Lo’Gosh is, in the Tauren’s language, the name of Goldrinn. Goldrinn is a Wild God who takes the form is a massive white wolf. The Night Elves worship him as an ancient guardian, the Trolls, goblins, and Dwarves all have their own versions of him, and after the orcs arrived on Azeroth and were told about him by the Tauren they adopted him as their hero. Long story short, Lo’gosh is a pretty big deal. Lo’gosh died in the War of the Ancients, which was the Night Elves against the Burning Legion, but it’s said that his spirit lived on and watched those that he favoured. It is said that one of the soul he favoured was in fact Varian, and that he admired Varian’s ferocity, and also his ability to tame it which was something Lo’gosh couldn’t do. Long story short, being admired by Lo’gosh is a pretty big deal. By being able to split Shalamayne into the two swords (Shala’tor and Ellemayne) he is showing that his soul is almost as worthy as Varian’s. The reason I think this is because they were Two swords until they were combined into one along with Varian, hinting that maybe Varian is the only one who could split and merge them at Will? Long story short, being able to split Shalamayne is a pretty big deal. And finally we’re at Shadowlands 🥳 we begin seeing eyebrows at Icecrown Citadel, which is basically the Lich King’s castle in a way. Sylvanas actually threw herself off of Icecrown and committed suicide, seeking peace in the afterlives after being denied it once before and turned Ito a banshee. Instead she was cast into the Maw and saw such horrors that she wanted out. She made a deal with the Jailer, the entity that rules the Maw, that she would cause as many deaths as possible. The Jailer would then steal those souls, depriving the other realms of the Shadowlands of souls and making himself more powerful. He would, in turn, pass some of his power on to her. She calls Icecrown the Veil between life and Death because… well… it is? The Helm of Domination, the Helmet the Lich King wears, allows the Lich King a glimpse into the Shadowlands, basically putting them between the two realms. Not quite alive, not quite dead. She makes reference to a ‘usurper’ that sits upon a Frozen Throne. The Frozen Throne is the Throne of the Lich King, and the Usurper stop said throne is called Bolvar Fordragon, who wasn’t necessarily meant to be Lich King. After Arthas died, a paladin by the name of Tirion Fordring was ready to take up the burden, as there must always be a Lich King, but instead Bolvar, who was badly injured by the Blight that a rebel undead had poured on them, and the flames of the red dragonflight that had neutralised the blight and were the only thing keeping him alive, said that he would instead. He said to Tirion to say only that the Lich King is dead, and that Bolvar Fordragon died with him. As a result very few people knew that there was a Lich King or that Bolvar was alive, not even his own daughter knew. He is significantly weaker because the majority of the Scourge (the undead forces under his control) was killed along with Arthas, and considering all the power that eyebrows has gained from the Jailer, she manages to defeat him pretty quickly. When Bolvar goes from red to blue, it shows he is finally assuming control over the remaining Scourge. He then goes down to fight her. He even uses the iconic ability any Frost Desth Knight will recognise, Remorseless Winter. We see how he could take multiple arrows before being wounded, but when she uses her new powers to chain him down, not even he could escape, showing just how powerful she is. She steals the helm of Domination, the Veil between like and Death, and just when we think she’s going to put on and become the Lich King, she does the unthinkable and splits it in half, subsequently breaking the world’s veil between the Shadowlands.
Around 11:50 you say the moment isn't about Anduin. You've probably found out by now, but there's a cinematic called Lost Honour where Anduin frees Saurfang so he can go back to the Horde and start leading a rebellion. By saying 'I set you on this path', Anduin is referring to the fact that rather than just killing Saurfang at Lordaeron when he had the chance, or keeping him locked up in a cell, Anduin freed him and it ultimately led to Saurfang risking his life in the duel versus Sylvanas. So yeah, the moment is very much about Anduin, in combination with Thrall (black-haired Orc) who has known Saurfang for a long time, and Zekhan (guy with long tusks, named Zappy Boi by fans) who sees Saurfang as a mentor and sort of father figure.
What's interesting is that all those undead corpse-like people with the broken mask banner worshiped their awesome eyebrow queen like almost a goddess. But since she and her followers joined the Horde they of course gained Horde pride alongside undead eyebrow pride, especially when their queen became the leader (called Warchief) of the whole Horde. So when she spits on her own Horde it is really interesting to see that they understand that she fucked up and join the Horde against her. Still, their eternal queen abandoning them so must have deeply hurt. They literally had religions and cults with her image as the central figure.
Suggestion. Find a wow player to give you a background before videos. And so you can see this in order. You’re kind of all over the place. Like the tree burning didn’t really seem crazy to you. But inside the tree was an entire continent of night elves. So by burning it she basically committed genocide on an entire race.
Sylvanas was the head of the High Elves army, who was killed by Arthas (first Lich King with the sword) during his invasion of the Elven realm Quel'Thalas. The reason she came back is that she pissed him so much by resisting and slowing his progress, he didn't want to grant her a quick death, brought her back to life as a Banshee instead. She was under his control at first but managed to break free and founded the undead 'nation' (Forsaken) The Elf who was killed in the first video was a Night Elf, they're not the same race as High Elves so they're not really her people (even though they were initially the same race, High Elves were exiled thousands of years ago and founded a different realm). The tree she burned is the world tree Teldrassil, which was the home of the Night Elves and their capital city Darnassus was on it. This is why the Alliance attacked Undercity (Undead capital) in the Battle for Azeroth trailer. Warcraft's story can be a clusterf*ck sometimes but it's pretty interesting when you get into it.
@4:40 ish they are the not same race your eyebrows was a highelf, which the highelfs are now bloodelfs and the one that isnt brows is a Nightelf, Bloodelfs joined the horde and the nightelfs are with the alliance
Disclaimer: I swear, I was only going to write a single short paragraph. Things got a bit out of hand. Some lore regarding Sylvanas aka Eyebrows. She was once a High Elf of Quel'Thalas. Her homeland was invaded by the Scourge and she was raised as an undead banshee by Arthas. Her people share common ancestry with the Night Elves but they are quite different. The High Elves (now Blood Elves) are very liberal in their use of arcane magic. The Night Elves are more of a tree hugging nature loving variety. The Night Elves are also purple/blue skinned and over 7ft tall while the Blood Elves have more human like skin tons and height. There are obvious parallels between what was done to her and what she's doing to them, but they aren't "her people". "Why does she have magic powers?" That is THE BIG QUESTION. She is powerful but she should never have been able to do what she did in those last 2 cinematics. That purple dark magic isn't something she was previously able to do. But apparently she made a deal with The Jailer, the big baddie in the next expansion, Shadowlands. He gave her all this power and she's been working with him. But why? That's anyone's guess at this point. The guy Eyebrows fought on top of Icecrown Citadel is Bolvar Fordragon. Once, the Lich King was the spirit of the orc Ner'zhul bound within the Frozen Throne. That was a block of ice containing the armor, the blade Frostmourne, and the Helm of Domination. He was "alive" kind of, but without a body (his body was destroyed by his Burning Legion demon masters as punishment for his past failures). These magical artifacts gave him power over the undead. He recruited and corrupted the human prince Arthas Menethil who became a death knight and his primary agent. At the end of the Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne game, set several years before even the beginning of World of Warcraft, and released in 2003, Arthas broke the ice cube that contained the armor and the helm and put them on, fusing his consciousness with the Lich King and becoming... well... the new Lich King. After we defeated Arthas years later, we found out that without a Lich King to control the endless hordes of undead, they would go on a mindless rampage and pretty much destroy the world. It was at that point that the former Alliance commander Bolvar Fordragon stepped up and donned the Helm of Domination, choosing to become the Jailer of the Damned. He had previously been pretty badly burned by dragon fire which is why he looks like he's made out of charcoal. As it turns out, these artifacts that gave the Lich King power actually come from the Shadowlands. It's the afterlife, where all mortal souls go after they pass from the mortal plane. It's an infinite amount of heavens, hells, and everything in between. You die, you go to The Arbiter, a being from before time, and she judges where you should go. Basically Saint Peter. There are 5 notable areas of the Shadowlands which we will visit in the game. Bastion, where the Kyrian train the purest of souls to ascend and join their ranks. Their job is to ferry the souls after death and to The Arbiter (so what Uther and Devos did is very much a breach of their duties). Maldraxxus, where the strong join the Necrolords, the military might of the Shadowlands. Ardenweald, where the Night Fae prepare souls destined for reincarnation back into the world of the living. And Revendreth, where the Venthyr torture prideful and vain souls for their sins... but somehow that's a good thing because torture allegedly makes you see the error of your ways and become good again. Lastly, you have The Maw, the place where completely irredeemable souls are sent, where the Jailer rules. He is the big bad, and a being as ancient as The Arbiter. His goals, much like Sylvanas's are a complete mystery at this point. All we know is that for some reason the souls of every being that dies in the entire universe are currently being sent to the Maw, which isn't how it's supposed to go. And Sylvanas tore up a portal in the sky that leads straight up to the land of the dead. Which can't be good for Azeroth.
The cartoony one is a in game cut scene, i would say about 90 percent of the in game story telling is done using those grpahics, and very rarely do we get full blown feature cinematic like the last one. but that was also in game. they follow eachother about 5 minutes apart.
You know in the second video, where you see a woman in a blue dress with her hair half white half blonde and ask who's she? She's Jaina Proudmoore, the most powerful female human mage alive and one of the most powerful mages in Azeroth's history :) She was once the companion/love interest of Arthas, who later became The Lich King and who's the one who made Sylvanas into a banshee. She's also the daughter of a king of one of the kingdoms in Azeroth, Kul Tiras, wich is famous for their legendary fleet and was heavily featured in this last expasion we played, Battle for Azeroth. You will love this woman, one of the warbringer short movies is about her and it tells us of her tragic backstory in a beautiful and haunting music. She has a story almost as tragic as Sylvanas, but was able to retain her humanity and her principles despite a lot of sacrifices and tragic losses in her history and all of those around her.
The other guy Uther prayed for his soul to be saved by the light, and it ended up only saving a part of his soul from the blade. On the other hand Sylvanis or eyebrows was raised as a banshee and had to find her corpse and escape the brainwashing of arthas(guy with the sword)
Eyebrows and the elf she was talking to during warbringers. It seemed like you thought they were the same race. Although at one time this was true. Eyebrows was a High Elf, the blue eyed dark skinned elf is a night elf.
The world in the sky is the Realm of death, wich will be where the next addon of WoW will be happening, personally i would recommend to watch "Warbringers:Jaina" if you want to know more about the whitehaired woman.
I got a kick out of your reaction to seeing Jaina Proudmoore for the first time "Who's She?" - Jaina is an amazing character to delve into - Incredibly powerful sorceress, Idealist, Lord Admiral of Kul Tiras and once Ruler of Theramore. There is a 'Warbringers' episode that focuses on her that I would love to see a reaction to. One of my all time favourite moments of the games cinematics.
You're absolutely right about female chest-plates, but of course we all know perfectly moulded armor around a female's voluptuous endowments is a textbook distraction technique to gain the upper hand in battle. It's just science.
The sad part about not knowing the story is like watching return of the king without seeing the first 2. I wish i could help you with the lore, because the undertones of those shorts are so profound in context.
Few facts about Varok Saurfang, hope it will help you to understand his character more: Varok Saurfang is a legendary warrior of the Horde and famed veteran, who fought in all wars between Horde and Alliance. He was one of many orcs who drank Mannoroth's blood (demon's blood) and invaded Azeroth through Dark Portal from orc's homeland - dying planet Drenor. Saurfang murdered many people, innocents too, after he drinks demon's blood, but refuses to use that as an excuse: like many others do, because he made the decision to drink freely. Drinking the blood and his actions under the demon blood curse haunt him, and to this day he deeply regrets both events. Now Varok is High Overlord of The Horde, and he disgusted with Sylvanas increasingly cruel and brutal reign, that reminds him leaders of the old Horde (army of bloodthirsty orcs who invaded Azeroth in the past) and that's why Saurfang wanted end Sylvanas rule.
The tree she burned was so HUGE that it had an entire city with a couple of villages inside there and it was full of people so when she burned it she was killing the civilians there
Ranger General Sylvanas Windrunner (eyebrows) died defending the kingdom of Quel'Thalas from the Scourge invasion, led by future Lich King Arthas Menethil. Crown prince of Lordaeron and former lover of Jaina Proudmore. As a way to further humiliate Sylvanas for her resistance against him, Arthas turned her soul into a banshee. It wouldn't be until much later that she would recover her body and become Queen of the Forsaken, the undead humans of Lordaeron, who Arthas and his Scourge army killed.
They joined forces with the horde later on.
tnx man
And she did nothing wrong.
The sword splits in two when someone with honor holds it, so at the end we have the confirmation that he was an honorable Orc.
Ohhhhhhh cool!!
@@HannaHsOverInvested And he finally got his honorable death.
I don't know where you're getting that from...sounds like speculation to me. Shalamayne is just two elven swords that got magically fused together and can split.
@@Nihilix89 My headcannon is that Varian's spirit was helping Varok or at the very least, the sword fullfiilled what he said:
At the end of MoP, Varian warned the Horde that, "If your horde failed to uphold honor, as Garrosh did, we will end you."
Shalamayne spliting for Varok meant that he upheld the honor of the horde and the one strike of Shalamayne ended Sylvanas's Horde, who failed to uphold that honor.
@@clownzzz4837 LONG LIVE SAURFANG!!!
21:50 "I'm confused"
Saw that one coming a mile away lol
I never said I wasn't predictable 😅😅
Short and sweet version of the lore:
1: The guy with silver hair and the sword with blue runes on it was Arthas.
"Short and sweet" Literal paragraphs, but yeeeeaaaaaah that is the short version you ain't wrong lol
Isn't Bolvar in control when he's red(flamed) and lich king when the blue flames come out? 🤔🧐
Essentially yes, she's trying to tear down the veil between life and death so they can see and attack the gods proper.
Well that's what Zoval (The Jailer) told her happens.
8:50 "Who is she?" Me: Ooooooooo Hannahs gonna loooove Jaina.
Definitely, and her Warbringer video is soooooo incredibly emotional if one pays attention to it, the music along with the incredible visuals works so well to show her backstory in such and amazing way, while at the same time showing how powerful she is
@@Neocoolzero Sunday after next for that one.
@@evenmoor I agree her story is the most interesting and tragic one
That section starting at 15:32 ALWAYS tears me up. Saurfang, welcome home.
Ting ting!
OKay!! and thank you!
@@joost1120 I have no way to answer in style to give your comment justice, so I'll settle on something like this:
In the age of shock cavalry and powerful missile weaponry steel plate is irrelevant anyway.
I do feel a little more in the know now. hahaha even though there is SO much more content.
Think that this has missed out "Warbringers: Jaina" and "Warbringers: Azshara" - it included "Warbringers: Sylvanas" at the start of this part, but looks like it skipped over the other two. Those should be worth a watch =)

warbringers jaina is my fave of the warbringers, and the girl you asked whos she, thats jaina lol super powerful mage
"That includes you, girl, nothing lasts"
No, she does not decay, she is already dead and bound like that.
Lady Sylvanas is awesome.
Hence:
"Thrall and Vol'jin (mostly peaceful, honorable leaders) were not the true heirs of Blackhand's bloody legacy, Sylvanas Windrunner is."
A good UA-camr about armor and castles is shadiversity. He's doing a couple videos about female armor fantasy versus reality
Oh I'd love to watch those.
i was just about to go on to a rant why the boob armor thing is stupid and that you cant slice metal like its paper xD but Shadiversity's explains it better.
i know this isn’t the most important thing but i thought it could help differentiate the types of cinematics and what they’re used for.
in-game cinematic: in-game character models are used but they make them look a little bit fancier. they’re usually used for important raid endings or important lore lessons within the expansion.
awesome realistic cinematic: very very realistic versions of what’s in the game. they used to only be used as trailers for new expansions but battle for azeroth decided to try something new and use it to explain an important lore character and im really hoping they keep doing that in the future.
art cinematic: a painted out version of what’s in the game. they’re used to explain important characters before a new expansion drops.
You'd have to go back to 1995 to really understand everything in these cinematics, but others have tried to summarize it already in the comments. All of this ties into Warcraft, 2 and 3, and WoW lore.
I live for her calling Sylvanas a debbie downer. LOL
It can be confusing to grasp the different elf-cultures in the beginning but it's actually pretty easy to understand over time:
Purple Elves = Night Elves, forest-based savage protectors
Fair-skinned elves in blue armor (eyebrows in the flashback) = High Elves, the original fair skinned Elf-culture
The High Elves renamed themselves to the Blood Elves after the flashback scene you saw where Eyebrows dies, because Arthas decimated 90% of the people. Blood Elves wear now red/gold instead of blue/gold
All descended from trolls.
@@randomarknight8064 ok.
@@TimdeVisser86 good to be educated imo!
Thanks you too!!
"You are such a Debbie Downer!" best reaction/statement... love it!
🤣🤣🤣🤣 thank you!
She doesn't hate them.
She understands that Azeroth is but a small bubble, a prison within which the races are meant to languish forever, and she wants out.
fun fact; that tree eyebrows burnt down is actually LITERAL MILES away from the shore that those catapults are on. the tree is just really big so it looks close.
they knew what they wanted to have happen but weren't clever enough to write it out happening in a way that makes sense.
another fun fact; mak'gorah is a challenge for leadership where you are allowed one weapon and no magic... a mok'gorah has been
seen in the game 3 times and once in the movie, and in all 4 occasions someone has cheated.
I know its only a game but im still upset about burning that damn tree... Damn you Sylvanas!
People who participated in the pre-patch quest: Who needs a tree when you can have a special mount?
Anduin wasnt trying to take credit for setting him on the path, he was feeling guilty already knowing the outcome
Right? this darling streamer has some inherent racial prejudices she needs to work through. Poor girl. Hopefully life will be gentle with her education
When eyebrows shattered the sky that face at the end was like: "Wait... So that means no more friends?"
Here is a list of Jaina videos in order from left to right:
Warbringers: Jaina -> The Siege of Lordaeron: Turn The Tide -> Lordaeron Throne Room Confrontation - Alliance -> Jaina's Nightmare -> Arrival to Kul Tiras - Alliance -> warcraft Realm Of Torment -> The Return of Hope: Kul Tiras -> Alliance Siege of Dazar'alor Cinematic -> Rastakhan Dazar'alor Ending Cinematic -> An Unexpected Reunion -> Crossroads - Cinematic.
It was pointed out.....when the dying night elf said "only innocents remain in the tree" lol
Anduin has been advocating for peace for such a long time... It's nice to see when it works for him
He carried a traitor into the city, a jackass who has more Horde soldiers lives under his belt then anything.
Info about the Shadowlands trailer:
- Ice Crown Citadel was created by Arthas, the Lich King.
I didn't think he was speaking figuratively.

You've seen the Wrath of the Lich King cinematic.
(Amusingly, she was also a thing with Arthas at one point, but turned her back on him when he started showing signs of being not so pure.)
I hope that wasn't so vague as to be confusing, but even trying to just gloss over things, this got kind of long.
"You are such a Debby Downer"
Yeah, that's Sylvanas in a nut-shell...
Kind of how I'm feeling.
I'm new to your channel as of yesterday, so glad you got to these! Love the content and I also love having a backlog of content to go to!
Thank youuu!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
17:48 "feeling more blue today" LOL I laughed so hard at that hahaha
🤣🤣🤣🤣thanks.
Me too 😂😂😂😂
Btw the tree she burned was important to the world's health as well as housing millions of elves, basically a significant portion of their civilization.
that shirt! love it so much
Thank youuuu!!!
Well that's dark.
I recently stumbled upon this channel and what really interests me is to see an ""outsider's"" point of view and reaction to the things I love and enjoy and what makes this channel's content stand out is how Hannah ;
1 Doesn't overreact
2 She doesn't speak a lot , comments and give opinion BUT pays attention to the video's content, story and most importantly the dialogue
3 If she wants to speak she actually pauses the video and not miss 70% of the great moments while not paying attention unlike most others
4 The shirt, I love it
And to further add about the impracticality of the armor, as she mentioned the shape of the breastplates guide the arrows/blows towards the torso, which is exactly the opposite of what real breastplates and helmets do, furthermore, people used to wear lots of padding underneath their armor to absorb impacts.
Love the videos
Edit; answering the bit at 5:40 (sure lots of people did already lol) ;
Sylvanas was a high elf, the ones she fought against were night elf (pretty much relatives but not really)
The difference between what happened to her and Uther is that she was raised as an undead banshee to serve in the scourge army, that would have been Uther's fate had he not prayed to the light to save his soul (which, as far as I know, broke into two pieces, one saved the other imprisoned)
EDIT II ; to quickly simplify and explain the last cinematic ;
The guy with the crown is Bolvar, he was the lich king (whoever wears the helm of dominance becomes LK and controls the undead) he volunteered to be the next lich king to keep the scourge under control, previous lich king was Arthas, the one who killed Sylvanas in the first video,
Explaining the color thing ; Bolvar was a human, during the fight against Arthas he died and was "resurrected" by the red dragons' flames, that's why he's red and burning ,
What happens in the cinematic ; when he sees Sylvanas he is red ; the undead were calm under control , when he went blue (it was nerzhul, the soul within the helmet) taking control
Skipped lots of details but that's pretty much it XD
Thank you!!
I was just quoting a previous video I had watched on breast plates... I have no idea how armour works but I'm pretty sure it isn't tight enough to help boobs defy gravity as in the case of Eyebrows.
Thanks for the info!!
Nop, no boobies whatsoever, which might seem like a shame for some people, but a well designed practical plate armor will always look awesome
Thanks!
I love how he goated her into revealing her true feelings about the Horde therefore causing all the Horde to abandon her
She should do to therapy.
its so fascinating to see the perception of the Female Social Justice Warrior.
That is horrible.
@@HannaHsOverInvested
Arthas (White long hair man with a sword,Darth Vader basically) later after that became the Second Lich King
The last Cinematic you just watched is about her taking down the person who was the Third Lich King, but not Arthas.
She took him down for 2 reasons:
She had a deal with the afterlife God of Death that included opening a portal and destroy the crown
and she also wanted some vengeance for Lich King.
Who knows.
Your shirt is hilarious!! 😆 And somewhat adorbs. You and young Anduin are birds of a feather. ❤
The daughter is actually Jaina Proudmoore, the new leader of Kul’Tiras and the one who answers Anduin when he asks where her home is
Saurfang yells that there could never be peace between the Alliance and the Horde no matter what, and that they would always go back to war eventually.
She was under his control at first but managed to break free and founded the undead 'nation' (Forsaken)
The Elf who was killed in the first video was a Night Elf, they're not the same race as High Elves so they're not really her people (even though they were initially the same race, High Elves were exiled thousands of years ago and founded a different realm).
Thanks for the info! Even tho it makes me kind of sad hahahah
I really like hearing your point of view as someone who don't know all the relationships and backstories of the characters
Good to know thank you!
You know in the second video, where you see a woman in a blue dress with her hair half white half blonde and ask who's she?
She's Jaina Proudmoore, the most powerful female human mage alive and one of the most powerful mages in Azeroth's history :)
She was once the companion/love interest of Arthas, who later became The Lich King and who's the one who made Sylvanas into a banshee.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The sad part about not knowing the story is like watching return of the king without seeing the first 2. I wish i could help you with the lore, because the undertones of those shorts are so profound in context.
Few facts about Varok Saurfang, hope it will help you to understand his character more:
Varok Saurfang is a legendary warrior of the Horde and famed veteran, who fought in all wars between Horde and Alliance.
The tree she burned was so HUGE that it had an entire city with a couple of villages inside there and it was full of people so when she burned it she was killing the civilians there
Yes. That was not very nice at all.
