I wish you had a dealer like our local dealer. My great grandpa dealt with his dad and him when he had Masseys on the small farm. I ordered a 4710 from him a couple months ago and even before that he’s always been a stand up guy and helped us with anything. Hell I’ve called him to ask questions about this or that, he’s a stand up gentleman, farm boy and it’s a family owned business so it’s genuine and unique. Sadly that’s long lost in most of the world today.
Thanks Brother That’s what I call need to know info. Your Dealer needs to add an additional line to his dealership. Just selling one brand will bury him. Massey Ferguson ain’t what they used to be.
It sounds like your year of break downs. All of our equipment has been great but we quit growing chickens this year and this year just happened to be the year our equipment decided to tear up for it. I will be praying for you.
You have a great attitude and you have every right to be pissed. I'm very sorry you're still struggling with this. Not just the 4710, but 2 tractors down.. My goodness. Hang tight bud!
Unfortunately most brands are the same. I have had a few minor breakdowns this year but my daddy, uncle and I farm together and all have tractors big enough to do any job for the most part just might be slower. That being said id probably buy a duetz if i was buying 1.
Bud I have had several brands and several situations similar to yours. It doesn’t matter the brand they don’t care if you have crops to get in they just want the $ from the initial purchase then none of them care.
Every now and then you get that piece of equipment that you're better off watching the taillights for the last time. I've got a neighbor who had a tractor whose model number has good reviews and we had a good dealer at the time. But this one tractor was a problem. Clutch after clutch... couldn't get 75 hours before another failure. The company got involved and paid for a lot but he got to the point where he was ready to run it in the pond. He went to another color and said he didn't let the dollars make the decision for him. Point is, every now and again there's that tractor that needs to go. Besides, I hate the composite clutch in those 4710's, lol.
