Hi, beautiful video! I plan on visiting in June. Can you tell me more about the shuttle transfer from the airport to the dock and return once tour is over? Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it! We should have covered the shuttle transfer better, since that is something that is certainly important to have solidified. I don’t remember if when we booked it asked how we would be arriving, but that may have been the case. We also called in advance to make sure there would be a shuttle, and gave them our flight information. There was a van waiting at the Gustavus airport when we arrived to bring us to the Lodge where the tour departs from. After the tour, there was a larger bus that took a group of people back to the airfield for the return trip via the commercial flight. Had we been on the later Seaplanes flight, I’m sure it would have been just as easy to get back, but the return trip was fully booked already due to it being only 6 seats. If there is availability, we’d certainly recommend Alaska Seaplanes. The price is comparable, it’s a much more unique experience, and the Gustavus airport is so small, printing tickets and going through security on the way back was a major pain. Hope you find this helpful, and please let us know if you have any more questions. Enjoy your trip this summer!
Great video, thinking of booking this tour so this video is exactly what I needed.
Thank you! We Lucked out with a beautiful day, but I hope you enjoy it if you get the chance to visit!
