I wish I had found this video 2mo ago. I was looking everywhere for info on conversion kits. I eventually came to the conclusion on my own, that using one where I live, in Alabama, wouldn't be a good idea. I'm gonna do full bioactive and I don't believe there is adequate ventilation. I can see why they're perfect for you in AZ though. Thanks for making this video. This is a very important subject for people on a tight budget, aka everyone.
I got a zoomed tank and I got it at a great deal 18x18x36! At a local reptile shop. I was going to use the I heart gecko kit but when I saw the deal I got it. If I get more geckos in the future I will use the kit!
I am getting into this hobby at the wrong time. Glass has doubled in price. Would have killed for a 18x18x24 for that price. Although, I did get a steal on Black Friday this year. Thanks for the breakdown of the various options.
Conversion kit it's right what I need to recycle my old 20 gallon tank where I used to have some tropical fish. But unfortunately they don't ship it to Europe... Maybe I need to make one on my own.
I've been considering a 20 gallon with conversion kit but I have to add heat during the winter months, how would you suggest I do that with this type of tank. Thanks!
I need some advice I really want to get one of these for my 40 gallon breeder I have frogs they require heat I don’t know how I’m supposed to heat one of these because once I turn it up right it’s going to be glass up there it will be perfect for the humidity but how do I hate this thing I need to at least have the heat around the 80s
I do not have a link for a “cheap one”. The best bet is to wait for the dollar per gallon sale at petco. You can see if it’s still going on. Otherwise search local sale ads!
Ik the humidity is hard to keep up but I’ve had it pretty well humidified I don’t have a gecko yet but I’ve been wanting one I have an enclosure but it is all screen and it is quite tall which I think will be all right but I see all glass enclosures and I just want to know if it is possible for the gecko to live in because I don’t want a gecko to die on me
Sadly it cannot. They just won’t hold the level of humidity that these need. You need it humid all night and then a dry out naturally in the day which a screened enclosure cannot offer.
@@CopperStateCresteds not true mines been in a full screen cage for 3 months now humid levels are not hard to keep at all it stays between 65-80 everyday all day

That’s awesome! I always recommend looking for the larger premade tanks at local shops second hand for a good deal!

I'm about to order a few of these to convert some 20 gallon longs into vertical tanks for my soon to be breeding pair of crested geckos!
Remind me when you are famous!
That probably will be never, but I am flattered 🥰
Ahhh! Thank you 🥰❤️

There are tutorials on how to remove that top glass piece and replace it with a screen. I’ve never done it before though
I have a few questions to touch on. What brand of tank did you convert? Are your enclosures bioactive?
They’re just the aqueon brand. They are bioactive :)
question, how would you be able to heat them without raising room temp?
I can't find a tank for under about $180, an 18x18x24
Hello, I could not find the 4-pack on the website! Do you have an exact link?
They currently are in a shortage of acrylic and ended the sale deal
I need help!!! Can a crested gecko live in a all screen enclosure
Do you have a link to a cheap 20-gallon long tank for a crested gecko that I could use the kit on?
