Prices are completely inaccurate...coming from a licensed insurance producer (at least instate of IL)
Progressive breaks ride sharing insurance that you purchase down into 3 periods and it only covers period 1, in which you have the app on and are driving to the ride, it does not cover period 2 or 3 (when the passenger is in the car) They want to charge you an arm and leg for not having anyone in your car...what a joke~ They really are pro aggressive with taking your money

Geico doesn't give you ride-share insurance, They were referring me to two other companies. I am in Florida.
Same Geico just removed one of my cars off my policy. They accused me of fraudulent actions doing Uber without telling them.

You are lying about the prices. I am here in California and it is about $500 a month for rideshare insurance and Geico doesn’t even cover rideshare insurance. They almost canceled my whole policy because I was thinking about insurance.
i only do uber eats..is it different as far as coverage? is it worth it or nah?
I'm happy to see erie on the list. I JUST got my background check cleared, but didn't want to call to check with my insurance to see how much it cost....in case it was too high. Then i basically told on myself and they'd cancel me😂.
AAA does not cover lyft or uber in California🙄.

THere's rideshare insurance, but then there is the "ins" that Uber charges per ride. Is there any company that provides that insure on a fixed rate basis?

what if I drive for Lyft , someone hit my car and was not my fault . And the other party have no insurance , They can still deny my claim ? Even if wasn't my fault ?
What company offers it for that cheap? I’ve called them all and it’s thousands.
So I want to start driving uber as a side hustle in my time off. I contacted my insurance agent about getting rideshare added to my policy. He said my company provides limited coverage that covers the time I'm "roaming" or waiting for a ride but uber insurance would have to cover the rest. Do you think that is enough coverage? Or would I be better off pursuing more comprehensive coverage? Because I've heard the uber/lyft coverage isn't very good.
You'll have a 2500 deductible with Uber so set that money aside !!

So if I have geico insurance and they don’t cover ride share , can I get another insurance just for driving uber? and keep the geico as my primary insurance?
