Awesome studying music
Normally, in my opinion, thrash doesn’t not have or NEED keyboards. It’s just straight guitars and double bass drums with a punk vibe to it. I’ve been listening to thrash since the very early Eighties when it first came out and if a song needed keyboards to fill in the hollow areas then a second guitarist is needed or your guitar sound needs an upgrade. I saw Periphery at the Black Sheep, in Colorado Springs, awhile back and they had three guitar players and still sounded hollow, Fear Factory came on and Gino, by himself, was louder, heavier, more crunchy then the three from Periphery. To be honest I was embarrassed for them because they couldn’t match Gino’s, what I call “heaviness” and I don’t even consider FF “thrash.” But, to each his own, been listening to heavy music since my first Van Halen concert back in ‘77, I was ten. It was the infamous “brown M&M”incident. Started listening to heavier and heavier music after that and discovered thrash, never looked back.

This is amazing. For all of you purist out there, I am a none purust, I am not a "metal head", I listen to jazz, rock, hip hop, reggae, house, techno, improv, soul, classical, world... My point is you may be listening to this as a "greatest hits" but let your ego drop ans enjoy the pure fun that these grooves elicit!

Dude I’m a Christian and I listen to metal. I listen to Christian metal almost exclusively. I try to stay away from most secular metal because of the lyrical content. Metal itself is not a bad thing, it’s just that most of the lyrics go against Christianity. So, I get your point, but this is a bad place to share your story because these songs are all instrumentals.

The tones, specifically the vibrations, and how they are combined have a powerful effect your mind, body and soul. There is a reason sound is used in occult ritual practices. It induces a state that opens a spiritual door that can be exploited by the enemy. Perhaps you can stay strong in Jesus Christ while you are exposed to this music but what about Followers of Jesus Christ who are just starting out and are on the milk of Scripture?
