I am f2p and got roughly 50 rental battles in total. Only played 10 of those 50 before I forgot about it. That’s just a testament to how mediocre it is.

@@santenz8460 yeah it aint good bro, MT is my favorit and most played class and this tank aint it. Sure it can be decent in certain rare scenarios, but its just so mediocre and soulless. I would much rather play a leo pta, standard b, wz120, obj 430, udes 16...pretty much any other tier 9 med except this.

lets be honest, spending 4k on a game is more of a persons problem. it has nothing to do with WG, they will find a way to spend that money anyway somehow and blame others.
yep i agree plus its a pixel and all out tanks will go if game dies so this is why i would not spend any amount of mony for a pixel ....but some do...so for qb having a go at wg for this is wrong no one forced players to buy boxes ..this is just plain boring saying every time from players like him.

I got it on like my 10th spin on that machine permanently, went into a handful of battles, and then put it away in the garage to never use it again. As you said it isn't even a premium which would fine if it was something like the AE which is a pretty brilliant tank that feels like it is a premium without being a premium. I feel like with it coming up at the same time as the BZ-176 the 283 is just not as explosive as tanks in the same event. Its merely alright, and I don't think that is good enough for the amount of RNG you had to deal with to even have the chance to get it the first time around.

You forgot to mention the disaster of the original announcement for this tank. In the original announcement they claimed it was a premium and a day before release they changed it to a reward vehicle. In my opinion WG could rectify this whole situation by making the 283 a premium tank

CVS really should be an exclusive equipment for light tanks, in order to make them more relevant again. Because currently as it is, light tanks are almost obsolete, when there are sneaky medium tanks like the Bourrasque who when they slap on an exhaust and CVS, can basically to 90% do the same stuff as a light tank but still keeping the much better combat capabilities medium tanks have over light tanks...
I think this is actually a very clever idea to balance and/or differentiate classes with equipment that’s type specific

I second that idea. That would balance the game a little more and give light tanks a necessary role. I think they also need to buff radios they serve zero purpose in the game.

15:25 gotta correct you here QB, that's not 10k credits, at least usually, since you don't need to purchase automatic fire extinguishers, since you get enough of those for free through events, missions or whatsoever. I am f2p and I have been using automatic fire extinguishers on all of my tanks for years without ever having to purchase them. In fact, I still get more than I use, so basically it's unlimited. Because consider how often do you actually get set on fire? It's quite rare if you think about it, and automatic fire extinguishers are only used up from your depot when there is actually a fire.
If you think fires are rare, you must not be playing the SEA server.

This tank was clearly advertised as a premium tank, I brought a load of boxes to get the extra rolls, I got it eventually, and wasn't getting premium tank credits, I thought it was a glitch, sent a ticket in, they just responded that it was a mistake on the website, and it was only a reward tank, not good enough really, I wanted to grind credits and bonds, that was the main selling point for me.

nah, the gun handling is so bad on this tank, you really need the full vert stabs, it could even be worth considering putting bond vert stabs on this tank

I wanted it so bad. 80 rental battles. But i have not played it a single time out of principle. It is strange they put a pity mechanic into box rolls but not in coin rolls. Would have even been fine if it gave some kind of discount to buy it for gold.
me2 got it for 80 battles at least after 50 rentals maybe turn it into permanent ?

i felt very lucky where i didn't spent a single cent and I got this tank around my 5th try. I thought i was tripping with that luck
The process to get it was ridiculous HOWEVER, i was lucky enough to get it without too much effort. I love the tank. It certainly holds its own and im glad i didnt sell it.
Even if i did stop WOT for a long time ago, i'm amazed for your commitment after all these years QB.

Got lucky on my second roll and ngl i really enjoy this tank, even my wr is way higher than my average lol
it's funny (in a kind of sad way) hearing some players spent so much trying to get this tank, when I got the permanent version on like my 3rd free token and have never played it because it just looks so bad.
I got soured on tank collecting from this tank. I rolled at least 150 times, and got nothing but rentals. I've never played it out of principle and they sit and collect dust in the garage.
I got 75 of each loot box, ended up with like 70+ rentals on this by the end of the event. I like it and enjoy playing it. I want it permanently!
Ironically, I played the event only for few days.. got few boxes. Forgot them. Came back after long time, found out I have this tank permamently.... I have played it once, and probably won't play again. Value right there.
i'd never push that hill without a fire extinguisher but other than that the tank looks fine, not great not a premium vehicle, not sure why many people spent that much money but i guess if the spirit of "gotta catch them all" i guess... ty for the video keep up the good work

got this tank permanently after like my 7th spin last year, i thought wg was blessing f2p players until i realized it wasnt that special of a tank lol.
Had totally forgotten I have like 70 games of rental in this, despite being currently raising a new soviet med crew.

I have 50 rentals with it and haven't played a single one. Then again, I got the Lion too and haven't played that yet either. I've just been working very slowly on other stuff.
Was it only me or the in game sound for the reload of this tank sounds like the last shell of an autoreloader? Ladt time i played it was as a rental in Christmas. I may have some more rentals, but i don't really enjoy the tank.
i like the 283 its a cool looking tank. but the one criminal thing about it is that its counted as a premium but you dont get reduced repair costs, its shells are expensive and it doesnt make extra credits. its a normal tank given premium status with none of the perks......
oh i think i even got 20+ rantal matches left to lower the winrate even further
What annoyed me most of all about this turd of a vehicle, is that we can't get rid of rental vehicles unless we play through the entire amount of rental rounds. I just wanted it out of my garage so I essentially suicide charged through the 25, or so, rental battles.
I don't understand why anybody would pay money for this ... thing.
I got this tank around 5 days before the end of the event. Cashed in all the extra materials for tokens and wound up with 50 or so, tank dropped 12 rolls in and was the permanent version. Gotta say excited as I was that soon faded. Many people cried over this tank and it just proves how bad people just want stuff just to have it, it's not worth crap. I wish I could sell it to those who would pay 4k for a tank they never played, I would sell it in a heart beat.
This tank was just a little bonus extra and people lost their pathetic lil minds over it, unseen, unplayed. I was lucky for sure, but crap on a plate still stinks whether it's free or not.
10:25 based take tbf im an artillery player but it definitely allows for so many more dynamics to flourish if you let the game play out

Ya know, this tank really made me sad. I saw this tank so many times in the xmas gambling prize, even as a f2p player, that i was under the assumption i had won a permanent fixture. Nope, i got into grinding this puppy for a couple weeks and stopped playing it with 243 rentals left on the counter. Time thoroughly WASTED!

I got it with my very last "free-to-play" token 🤗 Plus I just realized I never played the tank sice 🤭 I didn't even assign a crew to it 🤣
I spent $500 even I felt guilty because it's a video game. $4,000 insanity.
what i really think was the bad idea on putting this thing into the slot machine is the fact you didn't even get it when you accumulated say 50 rentals with it. This maybe would have been the fitting "bad luck prevention".
I got it on slot machine for 50 battles and played about 5 battles... as one of "the noobs testing a tier 9" i didn't feel to bad in it. As you stated, a tank in wot with no outstanding feature is hardly op, but also a tank with no mayor failure also is not the worst tank - look at T-34-85 and its premium variants. no where the best, but over all the best Tier 6 Medium suited for most players.

Actually i liked this tank back in the days. When they allow to rent during NY event. By the way. Feeling really upset they do not allow to modify rented tanks :(

very dumb, you pay 50 bucks for a chance to get a REWARD tank which DOESNT earn credits, NOR the bonds. WTF??
WG knows that rentals decrease the WR%, but that gives them legit reason to buff tanks and that increase the sales next time.
Casuals got the tank 10 months ago for like a week, how on Earth does that effect the last 60 day stats?
I got so many rentals that I don't even remember how many I got. Played the tank couple of times and I liked it. It did not feel too OP but I think it was fine. I grinded the whole event and still did not get the tank permanently. ;(
I tried and got this as a rental. I played it once and was so unimpressed that it is still in my tank list as a rental I can play.
Hard to get this vehicle? Months later I suddenly saw this tank had appeared in my garage. Still don't know how I got it because I havn't played a lot around last years holidays.
Eventually I could get it to work, but since I have it on rental I simply stopped playing soon enough. Still have rentals on it.
i had to look up if i had rental battles left in that tonk. for got how good it looks, sad that they distributet it in such a greedy way
Hey, i bet you wont beleave me but oneday i just logged on to play and Obj. 283 just appeared in my garage, at that point i wasnt playing for a year and i dont know how it got there
I was pissed I didn't get it. 50 rentals and a bunch of loot crates along with maxing everything possible during the holidays. Total BS. I never even played the rentals because I didn't "own" it.
Whelp I bought 200 engineer starters for about $160. So I was guaranteed at least 4 of the premium vehicles. However, I received 9! Yes that's right 9!! And what was amazing was I received 3 in a row. Yep back to back to back rolls revealed 3 premium vehicles. Then I had used enough re-rolls to guarantee myself another, as one revealed itself on the 11th click. I needed the Jag Pro, 274a, Jager, Obj. 283, T54, K-2 and M-IV-Y. So at least this time I'm not too upset with wargaming seeing as I also got about 25k more gold and 10m more credits among all the other goodies. Needless to say, that was well worth the investment. Now to try and get some marks on the Obj. 283 while it's still relatively new. NC, USA

Of course the win ratio will be nothing to gawk at or to even discuss if there's not that many people with it to even play the damn thing! This is fluff information and you know it!

theres honestly not a single tank except the tvp100 worth it in this boxes event. Although if you don't have the tvp100, it is 100% worth it, that thing is a menace. I'm a 56% winrate player, and i've got a 67% winrate in that thing, over 200 games, it's absolutely brutal
You think the people who spent four grand and still came up short actually got so unlucky that it was equal to flipping a coin and landing tails five times in a row? If that was the case, everybody would have one. I think the odds of getting one were equal to flipping the coin once and having it land on edge.
I quit the game for over a year, didnt watch any vids either for that time, I come back and now the youtubers are saying "its okay to have gambling in the game"
How did everyones mind go from "wg is a terrible and predatory company now and gambling shouldnt be normalised" to "its okay, nothing wrong with it"
Most people dont know how in the hell to play rear turreted tanks so there's gonna be a lot of people saying this tank sucks who will then lose damn near every time to people that do.

I have a rental so haven't really added any equipment or better crew. I play it sporadically but do like it. Wish I could somehow purchase it or keep it when the rental period ends
I have a secondary account. I made it for my kid to play together. Last Christmas I went there and collected dust every day. Got the 283 for my kid's account. Didn't get it in mine for a lot more rolls. It hasn't been played at all. Neither my kid, neither me with the rentals.
I 3 marked the tank beyond easily. It is actually my favorite tier 9, with upwards of 6k blocked in good matches and 3k dmg normally. Amazing tank because nobody knows where to hit it.

This comment section is all you really need to see to understand why WG is successful with those kind of events:
A third of the comments is bragging about owning it and another third is about how cool it looks/plays.
The last third is commenting about how awful this whole crap is because they never got it.
So in the end a successful FOMO event, good job y'all 👏👏👏

Would love if devs would give a cheap cost to gamble or a higher price to pay. Meaning you have a 1:15 chance to gamble but you are getting other goodies that you can spend 5 to 20usd and not feel bad about it. But players who want to spend 50usd for ONE digital asset, they should be able to spend that directly.
This should be the norm, not the exception xD
To QB's comment about why speeding up the game has made it worse, WoT has always been a punishing game. Early on you learn that rushing into things is a recipe for disaster. Health is quick to lose and one wrong step can cost you your life instantly. The game teaches you to be patient, and the best players find ways to maximize their longevity over the course of the battle. That is why having 3 and 4 minute games just sucks. It reduces the importance of patient play, and fundamentally changes the dynamic of the game. It becomes a rush for damage and points instead of a grind for positioning and strategy. Really wish WG didn't follow the current trend of modern game devs and run their product into the ground 😢
i got it and didnt know how, and i didnt spend a dime, looked up a few weeks ago and realized i had it and its permanently, i didn't spin no machine or whatever your talking about, my bad, i did buy it with some special coins or something and just forgot about it, it still was free

I came back to wot this year third September after 2 years brake. I have this vehicule as a rental for 10 battles(idk how) and I have the option to buy it for 13 150 gold. People say its a very rare tank? Im confused

spun daily , mined and auto mined , never seen the perma win , but have it in my main .... but had like 50 or more of the rental . "trade in " ? after the event for 50% ?
I have this permanently from the Holiday Ops 23. It dropped exactly on the 24 December 2022. I wasnt obsessed but it was really pleasent surprise. Left the game in February 2023. Happy not to return even to 3 mark this tank. Gameplay is not enjoyable enough any more.

I got 55 rental battles in this and I completely forgot about it, only did like 3 games in it
Of course I won this tank immediately as a player who only really likes to play LTs, I would have love to have sold it somehow back when it had hype
I don’t really see the issue with having a gamble thing, so long as you get it after a certain amount of tries. Also, WG should release stats before tanks are released, not after. Speaking about maps, I would love more maps like prok and mali, city maps are boring and repetitive.

Of course the stats are bad if everybody was like me, only playing the game for 3 months and highest tier at that point level 5. It's been 9 months now and haven't played the 5 free games as I'm trying to enlist a fully trained crew. Not sure if it's worth investing the credits for upgrades. I would still suck at playing this gem, especially against seasoned veterans.
