The fact it's Saudi is good actually, they've always been relatively hands-off politically and choose to present a neutral image with their teams and players. It's not like they're making Hal change his name to ImperialHalal and making him convert lmfao. The "sportswashing" accusation is so toothless because there is no pretense. They're pretty open about what is and isn't allowed in their country if asked, they just don't advertise things that could offend progressive sensibilities front and center. They don't owe you anything and a relatively conservative region getting more involved in sports will hopefully force everyone involved to dial back the progressive politics significantly, which is good.
