And then, boom 💥 She's right in front of him. I loved how he told her step family off and also the fact that she had spinach puffs in her pocket. Nice detail 👍

I absolutely adore the dorky prince! And the fact that someone *finally* tells the stepmother to shut up, and calls her out with a full "reason you suck" speech... That's so freaking cathartic after all these years!
I love his disgust at realizing how listener has been treated by their own family. Also that it wasn't the slipper fitting but he recognized the face and remembered that we lived with our stepmother. The reveal of the other slipper and the spinach puffs was perfection! Smart of listener, since they probably were very hungry to sneak some of the delicious food away to enjoy later.
The poor prince sounded so tired after looking throughout the whole kingdom. An unspoken rule in fairy tales is the prince must pick up his lover and spin them around, then princess carries them off into the sunset.
I honestly loved this, and would love to see more fairytale retellings like this. Whether it’s basically just Disney princess based stuff or more general fairy tales. Like, some Snow White thing, or maybe even a Jack and the Beanstalk (tho probably with a much nicer giant). All in all, amazing work

I will allow myself to be rescued on the condition that you do not make me wear glass shoes. I did it once, you saw how well they stayed on when I needed to flee. Also can we have my step mother and sisters arrested? That would make me very happy.
