I don’t care how high quality the products are.
    1. You’re not a doctor. Stop giving protocols to sick people.
    2. They are wildly overpriced regardless of their quality.
I made this video to admit I made a mistake. I know what it would have taken to be successful but I won’t break the law or prey on desperation. Essential oils have their place in my life but I refuse to support a company that is full of ignorant sales people disguised as wellness experts.
Side note, I didn’t buy all those. 🤷‍♀️
Theres so much more I can say on each subject but for the sake of time I didn't. Feel free to reach out to me for a discussion.
If you have a friend or family member you want to help get out of an MLM my best advice is to stay by their side and do NOT buy anything from them. They won't stay in it forever.

My son has ADHD and one of his grade school teachers wanted to use some DT or YL essential oil on him at school to help him focus. I didn't figure it would work, but thought what the heck. After about a month she started trying to sell me some, saying that it wasn't working because I wasn't using it at home, too. She kept putting it on his feet, so his socks had to be thrown away because after a month, the smell would not come out in the wash. To this day, he hates any strong EO smell because it reminds him of being in her class.

My youngest son is diagnosed with ADHD. They can shove those oils up their righteous asses. I tried so much to not have to medicate my child but I'm not about to be in denial and feel shame about getting proper help and neither should other mothers. Stop rubbing these potent oils on your poor kiddos instead of getting them to a doctor. They don't fix ADHD. It doesn't work like that. I know from personal experience how badly parents want the best for their kids and don't want to medicate but its not worth them falling behind in school or struggling to make friends just so you can say you use natural approaches. Its pretentious and neglectful for the sake of vanity and relevance.

The girl that got me involved told me that the cinnamon oil (can't remember the name) would work better for my type II diabetes better than my insulin. I told HER my Endocrinologist told me that I would have to drink gallons of it and still that oil would not help. That GIRL laughed at thr fact that my ENDOCRINOLOGIST said it wouldn't help. This GIRL is not a doctor and the fact that she laughed at my Endo stating it wouldn't help is flat out DANGEROUS!

Well, ultimately, your endocrinologist is not god. Bodies can heal by themselves. I've met people who healed certain types of diabetes through radical diet and lifestyle change, many people (really). No one I know did it through any oils though. But doctors don't heal anyone either. They can offer advice and pills to keep you alive with certain conditions so that your nervous system can heal itself, so that your cells can go in and repair damage. But more often, doctors give you a dead end treatment that yes, keeps you alive, but does not allow you to change anything that would allow your own body to self repair. So being arrogant because your friend was being stupid is not a good response. Sure, it's a little ridiculous to claim that a few drops of cinnamon oil is going to heal a major dysfunction in your body. But there is surely a LOT of positive thinking behind it, that is, with natural remedies that allow gene frequencies to flip on or off, that actually communicate with your body instead of manipulate it, you stand a chance to really heal. By shutting out your friend with arrogance, you're also shutting down other possibilities. Not to say don't listen to your intuition......insulin supplementation can be critical in the road to healing. But don't think for a minute your endocrinologist thinks your body can heal.....I mean, maybe she's a superstar integrative doctor who hasn't forgotten that the body is more genius than an arrogant doctor is. But if she's a typical doctor, she doesn't want you to heal because then she wouldn't be the god who is currently matched with your frequency of arrogance. Sure, your friend can also have more compassion with you and not inadvertently belittle a really serious health complication such as your own, one that is very distressing and causes a lot of suffering (I can REALLY relate). But you can also have more compassion with her. So many people are medically traumatized for good reason, because the current way of medicating and diagnosing people locks them into an illness paradigm and takes away all possibility of them healing themselves. This is VICIOUS, dangerous, cruel, and wrong. So maybe your friend has started to open up to the potential for self healing and wants to honestly share that with you, misguided or not.

@@TONIALCLARK Cicero is not representing the truth properly. I will say some very good doctors believe in the oils and even recommend them when appropriate. Some doctors don't advocate any natural products, only synthetic drugs that have deadly side effects. I am a doTERRA wellness advocate and a registered nurse. I would never tell someone to go against their doctor's orders and the doTERRA company does not recommend it either. But Clara is right, the body can get to a state of health that it can begin to heal itself.

@@sharonyoung7702 Hi Sharon, the problem with so many believers in doTerra is that they are clueless about how the human immune system works.
      I will give an example.
A friend of ours got sick and the moment she got sick she started stuffing herself with doTerra oils and in 3 days she claims she became better.
      The funny part is:
The human immune system needs time and 3 days is good enough time for the body to start making antibodies and t attack the virus so people immediately think O look the oils are helping me.
Also, many people do not know that let's say taking Tylenol or Advil does not heal anything but makes you feel better. The body needs time to heal itself. The serious illnesses need serious medical intervention and they will not just go away.(now note on the bottle -if the problem persist for more than 5 days seek medical help )
So on the basic things, the body can do a really good job and no oil and Advil will help you they will just cover up some of your discomforts while the body will do the heavy lifting.
A friend of mine who's a mother was anesthesiology her entire life knew this and trained him since a child that ones he gets sick and does not show serious illness signs she lets him stay without any medication for at least 3 days and the sickness would go away. His mother does not want to poison his liver with Tylenol or Advil or similar medicine because she knows that the body will fight and do most of the work in just 3 to 5 days.
So he educated me with this and asked me to try it and I did it and the result was the same -with or without Tylenol or Advil It just was more miserable without the pills but the period of illness was exactly the same,3 to 5 days with or without the pills.
So many people are clueless about this and think that the junk they take is actually helping them when in reality the body does not care.
His advice was: rest, drink water or herbal tea and wait for the storm to pass that is it.
If your problems become bigger after 3 to 5 days you know that you are developing a serious infection and you need serious stuff.
I do not see how doTerra can fight such serious infections.

I’m a wellness advocate. I’m my own advocate. I don’t push anything on anyone & haven’t experienced what you did but you’re not the 1st person to say some of these things. It really depends on who is your upline. The 1st thing my organization told me was not to look at this as a business. Look at it as MY health & wellness journey. When people notice the changes in you, that will open the door to a conversation. We also tell them to GO TO YOUR DOCTOR! Consult with your doctor on any supplements & oils you’re using. I’ve been in many MLM’s. I experienced the same things you’ve experienced in most of those MLM’s. What she’s saying about meditation interactions is VERY true! I’m on a blood thinner & have to watch it when using Cassia oil. As far as quality & purity, they are tested several times by a third party prior to bottling & selling. I’m not knocking anything she’s saying & no offense taken. Thank you for sharing.

As someone with limited budget and no one aroud me that actually does Raindrop therapy i welcome those that do offer classes and applications. My sister is a massage therapist so i know alll about it. Its not cheap and very hard on the body. The difference i see is raindrop is just oil application techniques where massage is manipulating muscles etc to help someone. Raindrop doesnt require any prior knowledge of the human body and is somthing you need few skills to accomplish sucessfully. Thats the big difference i see between raindrop and massage. Its not really a skill but a service. You cant do raindrop on yourself but almost anyone could sucessfully apply them for you. Like your car. You get a dent or scratch you go to the pros to fix. If it gets dirty or needs a polish well the car cant do it itself so you do it or take it to a car wash. 2 different levels 2 different degrees of skill needed to acomplish a clean shiny car.

As far making money in a direct sales company, well many are pyramids 😉 I’ve had wonderful experience with essential oils that are not contaminated with synthetic ingredients that are cheaper than real ingredients, additives, chemicals etc..... and when using them to support my health I consult my doctor. People make their own choices as to how they take care of themselves. Many do not trust the medical profession while other do not believe in holistic or ancient ways. Research for yourself before blind belief is all I’m saying.

@@gabsfer I have nothing to do with any company so I'm not saying this to get you to purchase anything but there are several essential oils that can be ingested (taken internally) safely when working with your health care provider. Peppermint, Clove, Citrus (Orange, Lemon, Etc), Spearmint, Cinnamon, etc. But many of those oils, if you have certain health issues, can become unhealthy. It's all about knowing what health conditions and medications that you're taking which can interact with the essential oils. Also, you have to understand the "dosing" and dilution properties because too much of a good thing can turn into a bad thing.

Anyone advocating for any medicine, whether it'd be herbal or pharmaceutical, can be considered "programmed". I personally like to do my own research and find it a "tad bit" more convincing to go for the original, natural medicine that has been used for thousands of years over a modern, synthetic version of which we (as consumers) don't really know what the heck they are composed of.
I believe there is definitely corporate marketing involved within these natural medicine companies. However, I think it's very important to understand the immense corruption involved in the pharmaceutical industry of which the government has its hands deep inside, possibly because they receive a cut from the profits of these drug companies. What do the companies get in return? Government grants them the ultimate medical authority and undermines any other type of medicine, claiming there are insufficient or unsatisfactory results in their "limited studies". I've done some research in this area and .. and I know, anecdotal evidence isn't very appealing, however, I constantly find large amounts of positive testimonials that strangely do not seem to line up with these "insufficient evidence" statements originating from government institutions i.e. the FDA.
Having said this, natural medicine companies are left to the competitive mechanisms of capitalisms. Even if a private natural medicine company were to falsify information to promote their products, the consumers (especially nowadays with technology) WILL find out and the word WILL spread, thus, negatively affecting said company. Other natural medicine companies will find this perfect opportunity to compete and produce products of higher standards, higher quality and will come in to fill in the sales from the previous company's customers. This is known as capitalism's "invisible hand" , which in turn is beneficial to economic growth, very unlike the path the pharmaceutical drug industry has chosen where it eliminates this process by artificially placing itself on top of all other competition and consumers do not have a say.

When the top 1% earn $28,000 per year
Getting in the top 1% of doTERRA is no easy feat. Achieving "Silver" rank, for instance, requires recruiting at least three other people who personally sell -- or recruit people who sell -- at least $3,000 in product per month.
So if you recruit three people who each sell $500 of product per month, and each of your recruits recruit more people who sell $2,500 of product combined per month, you'll make it to Silver, putting you into the top 1% of the organization. At a minimum, this requires at least $9,000 in "organizational" volume from the people you recruit, though few will reach this rank with exactly $9,000 in monthly volume.
Upon reaching Silver, you'll be in the top 1% of doTERRA advocates. At this level, the average earnings among advocates is $27,557. Nowhere else does being in the top 1% yield so little. The top 1% of American individual earners hauled in about $308,000 in 2016, yet the top 1% of doTERRA reps earn barely more than a recently hired, full-time Target-store worker.

I was involved in a different MLM years ago, different products but same story. I was led to believe that I would make big bucks for throwing parties and selling to anyone and everyone that I saw in front of me basically. If you weren’t signing people up constantly you weren’t trying hard enough and should promote it more and talk about how much the company has Changed your life and crap like that. I couldn’t brag like that, especially if it wasn’t even true! I signed up one person in the months I was a distributor… my mom lol. I paid them hundreds of dollars to get started and used the products myself of course and I hardly made a dime! I definitely didn’t make any of my money back. When I told my upline I was bailing out, I was spending more than I was making and she basically told me It takes money to make money and I was like ummm I know, I have another side business I run and I make more at that so I was going to continue to focus on what works for ME! After that I’ve never been interested in joining ANY MLM. I have friends that do it and I say to each their own. I have no qualms with them.
All that being said I’ve been studying herbalism all year and I’ve learned SO much about plants and health, the anatomy. Let me tell you safety is a big deal with herbalists! Most herbalists rarely use essential oils, if at all. For several reasons. One being safety, most oils are not safe to consume internally! And if someone does it should only be under the close guidance of a certified aromatherapist. Also there’s sustainability concerns. In herbalism you don’t need massive amounts of plant material to benefit from plants! And it’s SO much safer and cheaper to use as well! To me it’s a no brainer. Why waste hundreds of pounds of plants for their oils when you don’t have to. Also herbalism has been around since the beginning of time basically while super concentrated essential oils and the modern use of them are fairly new really. So the long term data just isn’t there yet. Essential oils have their place but if you aren’t an expert, they should only be used topically or in a diffuser (even then use caution). They shouldn’t be used casually like they are. Many people develop liver problems from consuming essential oils. For this reason I have issues with these companies teaching their people to make the claims they do! It’s dangerous! And you’re right it IS illegal to make the claims they do. And to tell people that it’s completely safe and effective for everyone when it’s just NOT! Everyone has different Needs! And People still need doctors too. There’s a lot wrong with these companies.
Anyway if you made it to the end of my novel, thanks for listening to my Ted talk 😂

They are not meant to be taken internally every day. These are SUPER potent plant chemicals that can damage lining of the stomach, esophagus and internal mucous membranes. So from my understanding they should be taken VERY infrequently and only under supervision of a professional. It's just not healthy to be drinking lemon oil every day in water. Would you eat 100 lemon skins? It just isn't the purpose of the oils.

Yes, people can have a reaction to essential oils. Odds are, those same people would have a reaction to some fragrance oils too. The trick is to figure out what works for you, and in what quantity. If you make your own soap, that is very easy to do. All soap really is made of is oils (fatty acid), lye (base), and water. The reaction of lye and oil mixing creates a salt that we call soap. Im sad to heard youve had so many bad experiences. Ive been in mlms since i was 22. Over 10 years now. There are a couple of things i look for in an mlm.
      1. A product i believe in and love and i know others will love it too.
2.A company that has lots of integrity and is motivated by the same things i am aka helping others.
      3. A team and upline who really care to help others suceed in a balanced way and not shame you into doing things or sacrificing things you value highly(ie. Family dinners or important events or even money you need for christmas gifts or that you simply dont have unless its credit.)
      3. A solid business success plan you are able and willing to follow that doesnt require you to bother all your family friends and aquantences to succeed. Its not easy and ive developed my own way to suceed i just need to develop the next skill set of mainisining supporting and growing a downline so they can suceed too! Its not Easy but its very rewarding!

What is really nice about doTERRA is 90% of customers/wholesale customers/wellness advocates strictly just buy the oils. We use them and their supplements on a daily basis. They’ve made HUGE impacts on my family. I don’t spend outside of my budget and have improved my quality of life. I used to need an inhaler, couldn’t find allergy relief, had a hard time sleeping, struggled with stomach pain- all of this has been solved by using doTERRA oils. Though it may seem like small improvements, I do know many with huge improvements I’ve seen and to get a message thanking me for introducing them to essential oils bc it’s changed their life, is honestly what keeps me sharing ❤️

@@lisat9707 I've studied numerous MLM opportunities and they all fall short. The only way to make significant income in any major MLM is to have dozens of people in your downline. This means your downline will be competing with each other for sales and their own downline.
If you have 100 people under you, which should be enough to equal a part time salary in doTerra, and the bottom of your downline can get 100 under them, that's 10,000 sellers in a market. Unless you're in a huge, virgin market, there just isn't room for this many people to be successful.
The structure of MLM depends on continued, unlimited growth if most reps are going to be successful. Obviously this is impossible which is why all MLMs including doTerra have only a few % of reps making even a small meaningful amount of money. Even the best training and compensation plan can't magically create the infinite business growth required for new members to succeed as the seller population grows.

Oils do have very beneficial properties. However, even in the natural world there are ones you should not take if you have certain health problems or are pregnant or breastfeeding. You are right that there are people who say that oils can't hurt you and several who buy into this idea that if you have a reaction to the oil that it's just your body detoxing! That is very inaccurate information! The thing is, is there is a lot of information and research on oils out there and done by legitimate labs and companies. However, people do not do their research they just take whatever someone says to them as the complete truth. I love my oils. They have helped me tremendously and have alleviated some issues I was having. However, I researched each oil I used before I used it. I also know that some health issues people have they need medicine for. There are ways for individuals to come off of medications but it is mostly due to a change in their diet, adding exercise etc... that this happens and it does not happen overnight. It took years to create the health problem it will take months to years of dedication to changing habits to start to slowly come off of medications. Do I think pharmaceuticals are over used? Yes! But do I think you take an oil for a day and it cures you? No! Aromatherapy, massage, alternative therapy, physical therapy, diet, exercise, quitting bad habits, etc... are what help overcome disease and help you get off of medicines and sometimes if it is a genetic abnormality you may never come off medicine. People have gone oil crazy. While I do believe in the many benefits, I do my research first!

Thank you for denouncing the lack of safety éducation around essential oils, some of them are neurotoxique, toxique to the liver etc. I recently received the Aromatouch protocol and I was very surprised and worried that the oils were used undiluted . This could be very dangerous for people. Chemists and aromatherapits always recommend to use a few drops (and there are ratios to respect for safety) of each essence. Furthermore using 4 essential oils plus 4 synergies is way too much for any protocol. No-one needs this much, it just serves the company to sell more kits... it requires some knowledge to sell and use Essential oils.
Also Pyramid selling models only ever helps the top of the pyramid to earn and propagate the products at least cost. It is always detrimental to the people below. Plus the local market gets easily saturated due to the increasing amount of recrutes selling the same products to the same people, in the same area.
Essential oils can help very well a lot of situations but advice should be taken from chemists or aromatherapist. And their use can only ever be complementary to medical advice.
My suggestion for you is to get a dictionary of Essential oils which details their chemical components, properties and counter-indications to learn out to use them safely for yourself. Now you have a lifetime supply!!! Or, follow an aromatherapist qualification ( take time to research the qualifying school : background, affiliation with universities, etc) and then you can set up your own business, create your own clientele and advise people properly.

I started using doTerra last November but I don't take them internally. I have rheumatoid arthritis which was diagnosed when I was a juvenile ( 14 ) I also was diagnosed with hypertension when I was 20 and 3 years ago I was diagnosed with malignant hypertension ( severely high blood pressure, 170/100 or higher ) and I take 4 different prescription meds for it. I CANNOT take ANY NSAIDS at all, period! I have had people in the group I'm in tell me I could be completely off all my hypertension meds by using oils and have been told that everyone with an autoimmune disorder should be following "X" protocol. I DON'T like the pushy part of all of this and I never intended to sell from the start. We're supposed to put in a LRP order of at least $125.00 a month by the 15th of each month to get the free product of the month and the 10% off product. Then you earn points to use to purchase free oils. I personally DON'T have that much to spend monthly so my representative tends not to interact nearly as much with those that she signed up that don't place large orders......because they're NOT making $$ off of us. I have voiced that concern to my rep numerous times and she'll continue to deny that fact. The other option if you still want to use the oils but not get all caught up in the selling is to just pay $35/year for a wholesale membership. You still get the oils at wholesale price but avoid all the other bs that goes on. I very much dislike MLM's ( anyone remember Amway ? Look how that turned out ). I do use my oils topically and diffuse them. I'm mainly interested in the "emotional or feels" oils and have taken the Aromatouch certification class. I will NEVER push them on others and I just share what has helped me but everyone is different. I think doTerra pushes WAY too hard on oils should be part of everyone's life and there's absolutely no need for pharmaceuticals. I recently had a very bad case of tonsillitis in September and I got an antibiotic ( I was a nurse for 22 years ) and I couldn't believe how many people told me I didn't need an antibiotic at all and should use this blend or that blend......ummmm, NO! I have a complicated medical history and it includes a heart arrhythmia and I'm not about to take chances with bacterial infections. I don't know if anyone is aware of the fact that someone with Young Living left them and that's how doTerra started.

There are so many good quality aromatherapy books, anyone can study them. doTERRA itself provides plenty of info, also about safety. If you buy essences in a drug store, how many safety infos do you get? It is up to everyone who wants to work seriously with oils to find the information. If you joined doTERRA just for the vision of easy income, than I believe you are dissappointed. This is a hard earned money. I want to thank you for this video. I was in a long term relationship with someone who was suffering with medical issues and was literally drawn into this and I had no clue. She refused to see a real doctor, started making wild claims that she was being healed and has found a new opportunity to be in the medical field healing other people. I noticed no changes in her health and she repeatedly told me just 2 more weeks! This went on 3 years. I was told I was being "negative" if I questioned anything. Finally other members seemed to influence her to release the negative and to be healed all must go whom hinder your health by questioning. I started to feel she was not herself anymore it was like she had been brainwashed. I am not sure about what a diamond member is but it involves traveling, classes she described as medical school. While researching this company for the first time I came across your video so im in shock because now it all makes sense to me. I lost someone I really care about to this cult like mentality and I worry for her well being and health. I feel sorry for all the people involved in this very very sad! I feel helpless the more I questioned or recommend real options the more I was pushed away. I wish there was something I could do.

This is really alarming to me. Let me explain : I'm french, and a naturopath (we don't work quite the same way as USA's naturopaths as I understand) and I used essential oils in my work and in my personal life. DoTerra is starting to "invade" the french market and people don't really know about them. We have a lot of small laboratories and business manufacturing and selling essential oils and I've never, I repeat NEVER came across a hundred bucks frankincense essential oils. You can find it around 10 euros or something, from a really good quality brand... Also, the way they push essential oils is really scary when you know how potent it is and how harmful they can be when not used properly...

I found this in March 2021, and I totally agree with you. Thanks for your honesty. Something I've noticed across multiple MLM companies is their lack of enforcement of their ethics guidelines, and their lack of ability to audit themselves and the lack of willingness to get third parties audit their business operations in each country they operate in.
For example, here in Costa Rica, a friend of mine recommended that my mother ought to take Zrii's Amalaki for her fibromyalgia syndrome. This is a non-curable disease. They had no medical studies to prove or disprove their claims.
Since the chemical compound is patented, you are unable to take samples out of it to a laboratory and determine whether it's toxic or not. Basically it's a leap of faith. There are no leaders willing to take a bullet when a MLM company is willingly doing a wrong thing.

The strep thing reminds me of something...
When I was a little kid I suddenly got extremely ill. Deathly ill. We woke up the next morning and I had a rash and was horribly sick. Lethargic, and just...not okay. My mom obviously rushed me to the E.R. When we got there, the woman in triage immediately took me back. No waiting. I was admitted upon arrival, given oxygen, intravenous medications and fluids, and the doctor told my mom if she had waited just 2 hours to bring me in I’d be dead. He was certain of if. They did testing and confirmed it was group A streptococcus. I had scarlet fever.
I was a sick kid. I was practically unconscious for a few days. There was so,e reason they didn’t want to give me an intramuscular injection which they originally wanted to, so I was put on a super strong dose of antibiotics.
At this time my mom had a daycare. To make a long story short, when she called all the parents to say the center would be closed as she was in the hospital with me, one mom reacted a bit odd. A few minutes after hanging up with my mom she called back and informed my mom that her son has had strep for a while and she never gave him the antibiotics because “antibiotics are bad”. My mom was LIVID. She purposely made sure to try to hide this from my mom because she needed a babysitter and my mom didn’t allow sick kids to come in to daycare unless they’d been on antibiotics for 24 hours or had viral infections. If it was viral or they hadn’t been on antibiotics, they couldn’t come. She exposed everyone to strep. And to make matters worse she goes “I’ve been giving him elderberries, lemon oil, vitamin c, and honey every morning! And he drinks honey, garlic, and onion every night before bed! So I doubt it was him but I thought I should let you know”. She said how he’d still been feeling ill but her homemade “antibiotics” would’ve prevented him from being contagious.
Basically what was happening is the toxins from the group A streptococcus was causing me to be extremely ill. I almost died. All because some moron mom didn’t trust her doctor or antibiotics and thought her natural crap was more effective.

I can’t believe that mom lied about antibiotics! I bet she doesn’t vaccinate either! I’m so tired of anti-vaxers/anti medicine parents. What happens when your child contracts an illness you could have prevented with a vaccine?! Sorry this gets me going haha!

The BuCrew So glad to hear your kids are alright. Scarlett fever can be terrifying and the rash itself is super scary looking.
I still can’t get over the fact that that woman let her son have strep throat for weeks and didn’t give him antibiotics. Apparently he’d get better for a few days, then get sick again, then get better, then get sick again. She genuinely thought that her natural crap was helping and that SOMEHOW it was good enough to make him not contagious. The worst thing is the thought that she’d sent him to school, to daycare, and around our community like that. She sent him to our daycare center where there were babies as young as 4 months old. When he was enrolled in daycare he was at least thankfully getting vaccinated as my mom and the state required proof of all immunizations. But he was mostly homeschooled after third grade, and would only go three days for one week every month, to a regular school. And I’m not sure if they require students to be immunized the same as they do full time students when they’re in a homeschool program and only do 3 days a week every month. HOPEFULLY so.
Anyway, again, I’m so glad your lil ones are okay! If can be so scary! Especially when you don’t know what idiot parent is putting your kids at risk because of their poor and neglectful parenting choices.

I'm a massage therapist who's been trained in using oils. (Reps are never trained properly IMO based off claims/usage tips ive seen. Plus there's an actual chart to measure out oils that we follow when using them topically) And I just want to put my input on these oils. Oils have great placebo effects (lavendar for relaxing, etc). However you can find better quality oils for a much lower price at your local health stores (Aura Cacia is a great band and very affordable. Also check out your locally owned mom and pop stores, some of those people distill their own oils and they're even better quality). 2, Coconut oil is not really a great carrier, while it has great benefits, its best left off the skin as it can clog your pores badly. Sweet almond oil is a great replacement for coconut oil, we often use that oil in massage! 3. Do not ingest your oils, this is very dangerous and unless you're under the care of a certified aromatherapist, you should never do this. Citrus oils especially because the amount of acid in a single drop is very high. 4. Oil reps should be held accountable for prescribing oils as a treatment. As a massage therapist im regulated by the health board, I cannot prescribe or diagnose or i will lose my license to practice. Why are YL/Doterra reps not held the the same standards. And lastly, Oils do not cure autism, ive seen this claim too many times, autism is a genetic defect, and we all know where genetics come from right? If you do not, please go back and take a basic anatomy class. Other than that like i said, they make a great placebo affect and are useful for things, but be careful who and what you're buying. As someone who's very Anti-MLM and sees them as predatory legal pyramid schemes, good on you for getting out of this before you ran yourself completely into debt. Also im glad you're aware of how certain oils interact with blood clots, pregnancy etc. Great video :)

I was also searching as to why DT changed the original Thieves formula. They replaced the Lemon with Orange and actually that search led me to Plant Therapy which is VERY child safety centered Oil company and has a MUCH BIGGER Kid line of oils than doTerra. SO far I'm impressed. That's how I found out Rosemary ( in Thieves) cannot be used on kids 10 and under. They make a roll on to fight germs that is diluted with safe oils for kids. I love it.

Thank you, this has confirmed my long held belief about doTERRA. While caring for a friend dying from liver cancer, the local doTERRA sales woman convinced her that if she put drops of frankincense directly into her mouth throughout the day it would cure her. Shortly after she died. The cost was an outrageous AU$90 for a small bottle, my friend was a pensioner, she went into debt to pay for a ridiculous amount of product the woman off loaded onto my friend. The same size bottle from a local wholesaler is less than $20. Sick people are vulnerable and easy targets. More of these MLM companies need to be exposed for using fraudulent tactics. I wouldn’t be surprised if ingesting frankincense was dangerous for her already diseased liver.

D Derby that is interesting, and not surprising. My friend was taking it neat, I suspected at the time it was potentially dangerous for her but she trusted the woman’s sales pitch. Even though the woman knew her cancer was terminal she signed her up to sell the product which entailed committing to buy all these products she couldn’t afford. The woman and her husband endeared themselves to my friend, a single woman living alone without financial means. The offer to make lots of money seemed the answer to her prayers. They convinced her the cancer would go away, she was desperate.

I wasn’t getting support from my upline or hearing from her at all and struggling with the business. She randomly messaged me through social media the first month I hadn’t hit my PV saying. “You still need to hit 90 more PV”. ... no “hi how are you, how are your babies?”... I swear that was her message. The following month she messaged saying “you only have a 10 PV order and won’t hit get commission if you don’t place 110. “... I at the time was making less than $100 commission, so why would I place an order I don’t need to make less in return? It made me sick to my stomach and the following month I decided I have all the oils and products I need. I was having a hard time anyway signing up ppl for awhile and only one of my downlines was really building. Everyone else was more of sharers. Thank you for this honest, compelling, and necessary video. You're very brave to have shared this in the face of DT's relentlessly defensive cult mentality.

do you all agree with this, doterra reps ?
our ftc says these are the 3 points of a pyramid scheme
1 the income bucks earned is mainly on the recruiment of new sales guys to the company . income you make on retail is minimal ?
2 you are required to buy a lot of inventory each month , that does not go to a customer ?
3you are forced to buy products you don,t want or need to stay in the bonus structure of the company ?
wonder how many bucks is the retail price of doterra oil in this video ?

It does sound like a cult. I heard some of the same things when I got tricked into going to a Scientology meeting!

Jan Tustin - Tricked into a Scientology meeting?! 🤣 What in the world. Do tell. I’m so curious as to how this happened. (On the bright side - at least you can use that experience as a “fun fact” about yourself. Lol.)

well, the way she described her experience with doterra does indeed sound horrible. I work with doTERRA oils and have been having a completely opposite experience. By the way I actually did get into Scientology and left them after a month. They would keep calling me and send me mail everywhere I move))) they were stalking me. I had to put them on the DNC list.

My soon to be ex sells this stuff and I've never been comfortable with it and its uses. She tried to get me to sell it with her and i genuinely could not do it. I couldn't explain to someone how it works and therefore I can't sell it/won't sell it. Secondly, she doesn't pay her taxes from her 1099. We file jointly and I've been absorbing her tax burden since she started.

Nicole Stankis-Miskimon I love Revive! I have both Plant Therapy and Revive. I do have 2 young living and I had a discount on the YL diffuser. But I prefer the others that doesn’t have a a me membership attached to it. But revive and plant therapy are my go to.

I didn't get in to the EO arena to make money. I got in it to have the oils for my own personal use. There's too many of these companies that do this and the scheme has been around for a long time. Think Amway, Noni Juice, etc. It's one thing to use them for yourself, it's another thing to try and do it to make money. It's almost always a failure. Great video by the way!
