There are some echoes not present in Taylor’s version and all around she sounds a bit deeper. Of course she’s older so she can’t really do much about that but it still kinda hurts it in my eyes.
The entire speak now TS version the guitar has changed, it doesn't quite sound the same as the OG. In Enchanted, the guitar trill that plays the same 4 notes is more louder and clearer in the OG before the first chorus starts, whereas in TS version the third notes are barely audible and the 4 note is plucked very loudly. I'm only mentioning this because that guitar bit was one of my favourite aspects of the song. Also OG had the sigh before she sings "please don't be in love with someone else" and TS version doesn't. Emotions of her singing are also different in both. Regardless, TS version is still great :)
Not to mention there is a part where she says "stop" in the bridge before "I was enchanted to meet you." It can be heard in the Karaoke version, especially. I feel like they took that out and it makes me even sadder.
the ppl who say there isn’t any difference, pls listen carefully….there’s a huge difference especially in the instrumentation. the old one is more magical and alive while the new one feels underwhelming
@@dumpaccnitaylor6578 no he's right and it's because of dynamic and mixing. the og feels fuller because when the chorus hits the instruments are much more present than in tv. they're very high highs but in tv the instrumentation feels the same throughout the whole song except for maybe the last chorus. also in tv they made her vocals louder than in the og recordings so it overpowers the instruments and it feels kind of awkward. she also seems to use a softer tone throughout the album than in the original.
I still think Taylor's version of everything just made everything 2x better, it's also so impressive that she can sing the song nearly exactly the same after so many years! Let's see any of you do that

On 5:13 theres a backing vocal singing the verse (please don't be in love with someone else please don't have somebody waiting on you) in the OG version and can be heard slightly if you have a good sense in music its also repeated at 5:24 but its only the verse (please don't be in love with someone else) and i notice it disappeared in the TV and im quite disappointed since its one of the things i love in the OG since its the thing that made me feel like the song is enchanted.
Most of the original songs are full of longing and excitement for what's gonna happen or the frustration of the tragedy, the re recorded ones is a sombre feeling of nostalgia after the experience was over.

In the original version, Taylor's voice is younger since it was released 13 years ago, and the production quality isn't as good. In Taylor's Version, her voice is mature and her vocal skill has also improved. Production is elevated and improved thanks to better mixing technology. Plus, Taylor fully owns the latter!
