Dude, when I played my first game on Sunday morning hearing Ink Me Up in battle, I was genuinely at a lost for words. I’m not an emotional person, but MAN, I actually teared up from nostalgia hearing that song in battle again. Splat 1 will forever be peak Splatoon for me. (I hardly got to play Final Fest in 2 and never got to hear Ink Me Up)
Imagine if they had Splatfest Anarchy modes because those songs like Big Betrayal and Til Depth Do Us Part would hit so hard imo. I wanna know what it would feel like to play Anarchy with Splatfest aesthetics and with fizzbangs. Btw, this video is so funny I love it! 😂

Although I only got into the series after 2’s final fest, I was able to experience 3 for the majority of its span, Even tho I’m not a longtime fan of splatoon- I’d say I’m more of a casual fan-this fest got me emotional ngl. The love and care that went into the concert animations, music, and mixing was super fuckin dope.
GRAND FEST WAS WILD AF! I WAS LITERALLY HAVING FUN THIS WHOLE FEST! As a team present member, I would like to congratulate Team Past for their well-deserved win. Playing on the new map was amazing, and seeing the idols performancing on the stage was amazing. The main venue was one of the greatest of all time! I'm glad we all got to enjoy it while it lasted.
Tbh the vibes from this fest makes me mad cause this is what i wanted all of 3 splatfest to be like since these idols shows are peak. But getting 2747p turf on grand festival bowl was my peak moment during this in terms of gameplay
Something felt special about this fest. My only gripes outside of turf which even then wasn’t too bad this time barring mirrors, was maybe a couple of little things like sadly no chance to interact with Octavio, Cuttlefish and Acht but that’s pretty much nitpicking since the fact they were ALL there already hit me in the feels. Wait, WE CANT ORDER ANY OF THE RAMEN! Ah well, least you can clip through it to do out of bounds things so… still peak
You are so much fun to listen to!!!! I’m somebody who is pretty bad at gaming and our opinions differ a lot, but it is ALWAYS fun and interesting to listen to experienced long time players talk on their current view on splatoon and how they see it and engage with it based on their prior experience. This is my first splatoon game and I even felt emotional with grand fest… I do not even know much about squid sisters or off the hook and I wanted to know so much more about them solely due to this fest. Deep cut was my absolute favorite and a big part of my interest in this game- I’m sad future lost but it was SO much fun to play and fight ppl like animals for the ability to hear our favorite idols sing while trying not to get splatted for revenge 🔥
This Splatfest was truly a satisfying experience to end off the saga and we'll never get anything like this ever again. Regardless, this Grand Fest was fun to play and what the future holds for the franchise will be, no idea. But for now, let us walk Into The Light... one last time. Btw, have you noticed Acht was there too?
I'll complain about turf war from sun up to sundown but this fest felt special, especially as someone who has stuck with the series since the first game's testfire when I was 11. I won't lie it made me kind of emotional, way more than I thought it would. (3 for 3 on final fest wins too, I'm him)
