What a wild finale...and that Alfie speech?! holy sh*t that was incredible Watch up to Peaky Blinders 5x2 Reaction EARLY & UNCUT over on Patreon! www.patreon.com/spartanandpudgey
The only way for Tommy to protect his family was to make a deal. Without it, they'd have still been arrested but he'd have no leverage to help. At least this way he has some cards to play in the situation. That Tommy/Alfie scene is one of my favourite scenes in any tv programme ever
The Alfie crosses the line scene is one of the greatest scenes in television history, I find myself coming back to it on UA-cam from time to time just to watch two of the best actors working today at the absolute top of their game.
Tommy didn’t give Arthur, John, Michael and Polly up the king and the government would still have tried to arrest them with or without Tommy. Tommy did the right thing because if he told them that they were going to be arrested they would have ran away and that would only make things worse.
The alfie tommy scene in this episode is byfar my favorite scene in the entire show. Maybe even in all of film. The acting, delivery, and writing for that scene was fucking incredible. I love getting another chance to see someones reaction to it lol
Interesting idea, them having different hats because they wont carry blades to the GS institute. Never picked up on that, but it holds. Also you're completely right, the last scene about the money. It is in many ways a mirroring of the earlier one with Alfie. This is the game - fight by the sword, die by the sword.
I had forgotten how insane and mindblowng this show was. The actors have gone off the rails on this, impeccable lines and performances, writing is sublime to say the least, how do they even fit all that perfection in every single episode? There are no series like this, it can't get any better when it comes to raw performances. Legendary.
Everyone talks about how good Alfie's scenes are but all I can see is how good Arthur's scenes are. The scenes after they kidnaped Charlie and Arthur grabs tommy is so real and powerful. The actor that plays Arthur is so talented and it's easy to see he is so in tune with his emotions, it translates so well to his characters. What a delight to watch him
"I bet he never thought he'd be back down in here again after The War...." Pudgey, he's still in The War. It never ended for him. That's the story of Thomas Shelby.
On your patreon you mentioned perhaps starting a reaction to Vikings show. Just wanted to say that if you do enjoy that, that "The Last Kingdom" is an amazing show like GOT and Vikings
Method acting at it's best. Cillian and Tom fuckin' nailed that scene. BTW Alfie is the only character in the show who is truly on Tommy's level, and Tommy knows it. This scene is a true gem, chills every time i watch it.
I just want to add to the people in the comments praising the crossing the line scene between Tommy and Alfie. Just a masterclass in tension and acting from Murphy and Hardy.
Dear Pudgey, never forget, no matter what Tommy and his brothers are GANGSTERS, and this is a gangster series..u were hoping for something like they're innocent 😂😂. Tommy did everything for the sake of his family, to get enough money so his family can live a safe life doing legitimate business. Its not Tommy fault that trouble keep coming to them, all those powerful people (Churchill and The King) are using him to do the dirty work.
The difference hat (the fedora) represents a change of decade/style. These predominantly took over caps in the late 30's- and throughout the 40's. Has nothing to do with the blades..
The Alfie Solomans scene is some of the best scene play written, It's meant to to suck us in as we back our protagonist in Tommy but Alfie in the scene highlights that we all back an evil hypocritical man who knows what he's apart of and he still thinks he's right
The poll for the next show is up on patreon right now! Dark is in second place but very close to taking first place! Its the shortest show on the poll, only 3 months to finish, and then there will be another poll after that without dark as competition. Please consider joining the patreon and casting a vote for Dark on the poll!!!
You guys do great analysis - really shows how into the show you are and really thinking deeply on the characters and scenes. You've got a great season coming up. I feel like season 4 stands a bit apart in this show. Not that it's better - but the tone is a little different to the others seasons. Enjoy + looking forward to the reactions!
run away roller coaster to disaster and grief ahead .................................continue at your own emotional risk ................................greatest series ever
You mentioned about how true to life this is. Just a reminder that this series is purely fiction, even though there are some characters that were real. The story is not.
41:00-41:22 i agree with Spartan! of course man! what do you think you been playing pirates all this while? of course they know the risks, they just didn't expect that the murder would be pin of them because they were so comfortable having Tommy to take care of everything, now suddenly things got out of hand and you wanna blame Tommy? come on man 42:15 - 42:21 btw he didn't give up his family, if not they won't be season 4 5 and 6..That's just the best he can do at this point in time..he knows what he's doing, and he will deliver what he has promised to them, he made a deal with higher n powerful people..
Lets not forget this family are CRIMINALS. GANGSTERS.😂 consequences must be paid for the actions sometimes. Anyway great fkn episode. I love Tom Hardy so much.
People always defend the ending of this season with “Tommy didn’t have a choice” but the point is the warrants wouldn’t exist if Tommy hadn’t dragged them into this mess in the first place. Tommy’s a great character, and he’s not all bad. But he is selfish to an extent and driven by ambition and a desire to keep the war going so he doesn’t have to deal with the war in his head. He doesn’t always consider the potential blow back on his family because he believes he can beat any enemy, which clearly isn’t the case.
I recommend you to watch the anime movie ( Your name / kimi no na wa ) it's really a masterpiece and one of top 5 anime movies of all time I'm sure you both will love it and will get u emotionally Pls like my comments so they will see it
Michael was about to be amazing after this season like a super tommy...but the writers seem to have forgotten everything they built and start to turn him into some dumb thoughtless nerdling from here on in. Its like a different guy
The last scene wasn't Tommy giving them all up, they were getting arrested regardless because they were set up. Tommy wasn't getting arrested because he was the only one who wasn't directly involved in the explosion. but Tommy made a deal with someone to get them out though.
I love the show but I always couldn't help but feel like they never learn and that the show just repeats the same shit over and over again. It kind of put me off the last season and I still haven't seen it but i will soon. I love how smart Tommy is but at the end of the day they always get their fucking ass beat by the next guy, it seems like at the start of each season they are doing goo and developing and at the end they always fuck themselves over and are at the bottom again.

That scene between Tommy and Alfie has some of the best acting I've ever seen
When two of the best actors alive are in a scene and actually care about the story 🔥
The only way for Tommy to protect his family was to make a deal. Without it, they'd have still been arrested but he'd have no leverage to help. At least this way he has some cards to play in the situation.
That Tommy/Alfie scene is one of my favourite scenes in any tv programme ever
15:38 "You crossed the line Alfie"
"You Foocking what"
Goosebumps every time
Does Alfie pronunce the U as two o's?? I thought he was from London
Thank you for including so much of the Tommy, Alfie and Michael scene!
In the end that's why they are amazing reactors. So many others cut the best scenes. Cutting them is not how you win fans.
@kobarsos82 yeah, they really let things breathe. I just finished their Stranger Things reactions and am on their Breaking Bad atm.

Alfie straight screaming bars at Tommy never gets old.
Watching for the Alfie scene🔥 Tom Hardy is simply brilliant and steals every scene that he's in
Tommy uses violence as a weapon and strategy, Arthur is haunted and consumed by it and Johnny just loves it, the war affected them all differently
Well done guys! You're the first reactors I can remember who did not mistakenly accuse Tommy of being a snitch in that final scene. Proud of you!🖤
this alfie scene is best scene in the series for me

That Alfie and Tommy conversation is so so good
that scene was beyond brilliant esp for TV

Lmaooo at you guys being like Wtf Tatiana is cooked shes crazy, Alfie JUST explained there is NO LINE 😂 it's business! She needed the money!
I always get goosebumps watching this scene between Tommy and Alfie, brillant acting.
I hope you watch the whole series it’s just keeps getting better 👍🏻
If this was insane, you guys arent ready for the premiere of season 4
Bruh Alfie kills people on the most holy day of his religion right at the table. Alfie really doesnt even know what a line is 😂😂
@@NeverStartTradingOptions 🤣
That's exactly is Alfie's point, there's no line in this game. hence Tommy's anger is unjustified
Trade deep in the money options
And Tommy does? Lol. Clearly you missed the entire point of that conversation smh
because there is no line.
That scene between Alfie and Tommy tho

Best scene in the entire series. Alfie ripping into Tommy. GOATED scene.
Best Peaky Blinders episode!

Oh my god, Noooaaww!
I forgot how many good scenes this season had, it all gets buried by how much I hated the Russians and Hughes.

What a way to spoil the show
This dude always needs it spelled out for him to understand 😂

Yeah I agree for the most part. There are alot of repetitive themes. Thank goodness the seasons are only 6 episodes. 😂😂😂
