Haha! I was beginning to think I imagined it too!! Now there’s one more cartoon I need to find (had a worm in it, and it wasn’t Spaceworm Jim) and my life will be complete!
I’m 32 now & used to watch this as a kid! OMG blast from the past ! Miss the good old days! So happy I found this video, singing along to the song... yay 😁
Wow what nostalgia! I'm 26 and I remember watching this in the golden era of cartoons that was the 90s when we first got cable TV and Cartoon Network was all I ever watched! I remember in the UK this was one of the 1st shows that would air when Cartoon Network started at 5am? Man I remember the pineapple and the smart ass banana! Damn this brings back memories!!
Indeed it brings memories, I remember waking up at my grandmas house at 5 o clock t catch the CartoonNetwork start of the dayand I would watch this show.
Just spent last 3 hours trying to remember what was the name of that cartoon with the damn fruits i used to watch when I was little... finally found it
HAHAHA me 2 i literaly searched google for "old cartoon with a banana polar bear" only thing i could remember xD (though im having second thoughts about the polar bear LOL)
i love the fruittiiiiies ! it's been the most beautiful andsweetest memories of my childhood ! thank you so much for putting such a magnificent cartoon on you tube !
Just watching this intro with the Cartoon Network logo really takes me back to the good old days of my childhood during the early 90s. Such a weird and fun cartoon. Love it
Wow, this intro song has been playing in my head for probably 15 years without me remembering from which cartoon it was. I only knew it was about fruit characters. The song in the cartoon was also stuck in my head! I'm so happy I've finally found this, I'm having a crazy flash back seeing this!!!
I had managed to repress this show but now it all comes back to me. It was one of those shows I watched despite not liking it because there was nothing else on during that time slot.
I'm now 20, so I was approximately 4 or 5 when I used to watch this on Cartoon Network. Feels so great to relive the memories. Haven't seen this in over a decade. As I couldn't remember what this show was called. Many thanks to whoever uploaded this vid.
OH MY GOSH!! I watched this once when i was younger (im 17 so it was the 90s) and it was in the middle of the night and i have been looking for years to find it especially in english!! this is amazing!!
I recall flying over the Rockies in '96 after a snowfall just before sunset where everything is blue listening to this track on digital audio tape. It was unlike any peace I've ever felt. The fruities were way ahead of their time...
This intro makes me want to punch a wall. Was in hospital once and the only good thing to watch was Cartoon Network. They had a big marathon of this one day and the intro played every time but was too sick to get out of bed and change the channel. WHY IS IT SO LONG?! As soon as that tune starts I get flashbacks.
MxMoondoggie my mom thought it was a good idea to blast this shit every morning at 5 AM so I would get up and get ready for kindergarten, it lasted for 2 fucking years and when I found this shit I almost fucking cried
OMG i loved the frutties, no1 i know remembers this cartoon, thank you so much for uploading the English version because i only always found the Spainish
incredibil , aveam 5-6 ani :( cum au trecut anii , imi aduc aminte si acum melodia de pe intro , probabil ca mi-au marcat copilaria xD , super tari desene
Must have watched this show when I was like four... I still remember the opening bars to this day but could never remember what it was called. I just searched "fruity tv show animated theme" into the search bar and ended up with this. It's a lot more stupid-looking than I remember but the theme is exactly how I remember!!!
Holy shit I have searched this cartoon for ages. I remember it was in cartoon network and remember the very smooth scrolling in it. Thank you SO much. I thought I would never find it :O.
"Thorny's Birthday"... The same episode with the infamous "Europe" scene. ("Stupid, stupid, darn... This is a map of Europe. Look. See. Europe. Europe. Europe.")
It was helluva an effort to find this, since I only remembered a pineapple who was constantly whinig, some banana dude and a little girl. It was back then around '98 winter, I was clothing and gathering for kindergarden around 7 AM, it was still dark outside. My mum brought me a mug of hot chocolate and turned on the TV for some background noise and there it was. I don't know why I remember this so brightly...
Don't forget Monkus/Moonus the Monkey, whose raspy voice in the later episodes sounded like he smoked a few too many cigarettes; *"COME HERE, LITTLE GUUHHLL, CAM HEEEAAAAA...."*
Gabriela Aby i looked for years, use to watch this every day as a child, everyone i ask cannot remember it though, so many memories haha, loved the fruitties
Roly: "My frenz! Don't worree! I am here! Now!" Pak: "Can you get us out of here, Roly? Quickly! Monkus! Will be BACK! At any MINUTE!!!" Roly: "Sure... I weel halp yoo... ...owt of there..."
Thorny: "Look, Roly! The moon! How big it looks." Roly: "De moon ees dee beeggest star of aull. Een dat respect, eet ees like mee." Thorny: "Now, Roly. Don't you know that the mewn? Isn't a STAR?"
Cartoon netrwork was a haven through the mid 90's shows like The Flintstones,Huckleberry Hound,Wally Gator,Smurfs,Thundercats, The Jetsons,Rocky & Bullwinkle,Droopy,Looney Tunes,Sailor Moon,Yogi Bear,Top Cat Quick Draw McGraw,Tom & Jerry,Scooby Doo,Wacky Races,Jabberjaw,Josie and the Pussycats,Thundar the Barbarian,Johnny Bravo,Dexter's Lab,Alvin & the Chipmunks,Captain Planet,Secret Squirrel,Dynomutt and the Blue Falcon,Hong Kong Phooey and little dracula will stay in my memory forever :)
This takes me back, at 1st I hated this show but then started to enjoy it. Shame kids don't get to experience cartoon network and the awesome cartoons from back in the good'ol days.
I'm speechless... This thing existed out of Spain... But they changed the fruits names (totally understandable, because calling a pineapple 'Gazpacho'...)
Thorny: "Hey, if this is the river of Paris, that means we must be in Seine!" Roly: "Haw veery fonny, Thornee, and eef wee wure een Buenos Aires, wee wud be on dee playt, which ees jus' where dose boars wunted oos to bee!" Boss: "LISTEN, PINEAPPLE, DAT'S ENOUGHA DA GEOGRAPHY LESSON. HOW ABOUT GETTIN' US UP TO SHOAH?" Roly: "Shot your beeg honkeen' snout, dyoo!" Boss: "Dat... ...Hoyt... ..."
This brought me many memories, when i was young i always woke up around 5am for some strange reason, and i ALWAYS watched this show at that time. It looks like crap to me now, but i used to love it!!
Does anybody else remember a cartoon, also with fruits and from the late 80s/early 90s? I only recall one name from that cartoon, but unless you're Romanian, it doesn't really help you - Lamaita. I think it used to air on Antena 1. I've had a vague memory of it for years now.
These are practically the cartoons of my childhood...They just bring back the carefree times of when I was about 10-12 years old... Anyway, those times seemed more normal than they are nowadays. Too bad they don.t do these cartoons like they used to... Now it.s all about violence and action cartoons...
Someone uploaded a bunch of full episodes on here in Spanish and possibly from DVD Rip. I am really tempted to just click one and watch it at 26 years old all the way through. :P
Before Spain becomes a Socialist shit hole. Sad times we are in. Antes de que España se convierte en un agujero de mierda Socialista. Tristes tiempos en que estamos.
@Owneador1337 if you know spanish, take a look to the spanish wikipedia and check "Los fruittis" article. They explained the story of the 8-bit digital painting there.
Oh my god I saw this show once when I was little in Greece on some obscure channel in the middle of the night and it creeped me the hell out. This aired on Cartoon Network?! At least it doesn't actually seem too creepy now that I look at it again. The theme song is catchy.
I haven't seen that for more than ten years! I don't believe I found this ^^ I remember that it was emitted on cn early in the morning ...And it was very irritating to watch a cartoon when I didn't understand a word ;p
Made something completely off the wall today. A blend of the Mexican and English with the Spanish being on the left channel and the English on the Right. I still think both are from the same singer even with one version in right and the other in the left she is just using different accents but it shows on the higher pitched singing parts that it's done by the same person as the original I think.
Don't remember much, but I do remember watching this, along side some cartoon that had a main character like he-man, can't remember the name of that one. There was a talking turtle, I think.
Oh, man, I've been trying to find this cartoon for YEARS! I couldn't remember anything about the name, or the characters, or, well, anything! Now I just need to find out what it's called in Swedish xP
Finally found it! I started to think that I hallucinated the whole thing! XD Ahh, childhood
1988 age group? :D
DesScorpio I used to watch this as a kid and I'm just 20. Romania had some old cartoons back then
LOL same here, it was real after all!
Haha! I was beginning to think I imagined it too!! Now there’s one more cartoon I need to find (had a worm in it, and it wasn’t Spaceworm Jim) and my life will be complete!
OMG! I remember playing earthworm jim on SEGA! The memories lol
I’m 32 now & used to watch this as a kid! OMG blast from the past ! Miss the good old days! So happy I found this video, singing along to the song... yay 😁

Indeed it brings memories, I remember waking up at my grandmas house at 5 o clock t catch the CartoonNetwork start of the dayand I would watch this show.
same here, i was thinking it actually didn't exist - searched for it many times
Exactly the same,
I remember it was on 5/5:30 am, was crazy I was even up that early on a school day.
This is like a nuclear bomb filled with nostalgia hitting me in the face. Such a great opening song.
You are not alone 😄
How nostalgic... Didn't like this cartoon much and watched it because there weren't many to choose from, but still, how nostalgic...
i love the fruittiiiiies ! it's been the most beautiful andsweetest memories of my childhood ! thank you so much for putting such a magnificent cartoon on you tube !
Just watching this intro with the Cartoon Network logo really takes me back to the good old days of my childhood during the early 90s. Such a weird and fun cartoon. Love it
i haven't thought of this in 25 years, my life is complete
I grew up with this cartoon it takes me back to old times and friends, thanks for sharing.
Wow, this intro song has been playing in my head for probably 15 years without me remembering from which cartoon it was. I only knew it was about fruit characters. The song in the cartoon was also stuck in my head! I'm so happy I've finally found this, I'm having a crazy flash back seeing this!!!
We've all been there (had shows that we remember, but not what they are.) I'm glad you found it again.
OMG I used to get up early on a sunday to watch this! Magnificent! Thanks so much for uploading thins :D
I had managed to repress this show but now it all comes back to me. It was one of those shows I watched despite not liking it because there was nothing else on during that time slot.

I love how the vegetarians are the villains in this. :))
I recall flying over the Rockies in '96 after a snowfall just before sunset where everything is blue listening to this track on digital audio tape. It was unlike any peace I've ever felt.
The fruities were way ahead of their time...
what memories ... the mornings, remember where I was preparing to go to school and go to the cartoon network and I look at these cartoons
This intro makes me want to punch a wall. Was in hospital once and the only good thing to watch was Cartoon Network. For weed heads like me😂
Asa imbatranim toti , rand pe rand .. fiecare cu copilaria noastra .. noi desene aveam .. ei acuma au tablete de toate :)

Nostalgia got me - I had 7 when I used to watch this, I'm 22 now - miss those days.
It was super popular in China when I was a kid!!!! Loved it!
i can't belive.....it`s more than a decade since i`ve seen these cartoons!can't describe the feeling...
damn i almost tearing up, watching this again, made me feel like little kid again for 1.23 minutes!
"Thorny's Birthday"... The same episode with the infamous "Europe" scene. ("Stupid, stupid, darn... This is a map of Europe. Look. See. Europe. Europe. Europe.")
I thought this was never translated outside Spain!. Qué recuerdos :).
It was helluva an effort to find this, since I only remembered a pineapple who was constantly whinig, some banana dude and a little girl. My mum brought me a mug of hot chocolate and turned on the TV for some background noise and there it was. I don't know why I remember this so brightly...
IKR :D i only remebered the banana and possibly a polar bear
Don't forget Monkus/Moonus the Monkey, whose raspy voice in the later episodes sounded like he smoked a few too many cigarettes; *"COME HERE, LITTLE GUUHHLL, CAM HEEEAAAAA...."*
One of the cutest shows ever. I think I loved it more then my son did, lol.
oh how much i looked for these cartoons :3
Gabriela Aby i looked for years, use to watch this every day as a child, everyone i ask cannot remember it though, so many memories haha, loved the fruitties
Gabriela Aby Jeez! i'm 22 years old and i stumbled upon this today,so many childhood memories :3
yeah :3
and now i can exorcise the demons!

OMG !!! I used to watch this show in the mornings before kindergarden :X ..thanks for the walk down memory lane :)
Roly: "My frenz! Don't worree! I am here! Now!"
Pak: "Can you get us out of here, Roly? Quickly! Monkus! Will be BACK! At any MINUTE!!!"
Roly: "Sure... I weel halp yoo... ...owt of there..."
Loved the Fruitehsssss!!Used to be glued to the TV.
wow. oh the memories, i remember watching this at 6am every morning before going to school!
This brings back memories of good feelings from the show, but sadly I can't recall any episodes.
Ahaha same! I remember I used to love Rolly and I was totally obsessed with it but I cannot remember now nearly anything about the plot!
hey man, this is awesome...i have watched this cartoon when i was baby:D..cool upload:D
As a child I used to find it a little strange but I loved it anyways.
Brings nice memories
A part of my childhood. And the intro song is just unforgettable.
I think this was in 93-94 on Cartoon Network......best times of that channel....and my life...
I'm spanish and i thought that this cartoon was exclusive of my countrie xD I'm glad that you didn't miss them !!
I used to watch this show in the mid 90's, when I was a tween, on Cartoon Network and really liked it.
wow this brings me back..... im 24 and i was like 8-9 when i use to watch tis day in day out... the racoons ... and ovide video ... loved those
I remember this! Don't remember paying any attention to it particularly but as soon as that theme song came on I knew what it was.
Thorny: "Look, Roly! The moon! How big it looks."
Roly: "De moon ees dee beeggest star of aull. Een dat respect, eet ees like mee."
Thorny: "Now, Roly. Don't you know that the mewn? Isn't a STAR?"
jesus ive been trying to find this for years! i was a sad kid, i used to get up in the middle of the night to watch this!

This looks like a nice show for very small children. Nice not stupid or overly violent like most of the garbage the cartoon network turned to!
this made my day , good old times, i so miss them
finally i found my memories how i loved this:XX
Kumba: "How can you? See anything? Out here? In all this?"
Wow, such nostalgia, very childhood, much memories, wow, such fruit, much song, wow.
so stupid
This takes me back, at 1st I hated this show but then started to enjoy it. Shame kids don't get to experience cartoon network and the awesome cartoons from back in the good'ol days.
I remember watching episodes of it overseas in Germany every morning before power zone
(and school). those bring back memories.
At last! Intro song has been stuck in my head...
This shall be played at my funeral.
I'm speechless... This thing existed out of Spain... But they changed the fruits names (totally understandable, because calling a pineapple 'Gazpacho'...)
FR I USED TO WATCH IT IN ENGLISH I THINK AND THE PINNEAPLE WAS NAMED GASPACHO LOLL..
Thorny: "Hey, if this is the river of Paris, that means we must be in Seine!"
Roly: "Haw veery fonny, Thornee, and eef wee wure een Buenos Aires, wee wud be on dee playt, which ees jus' where dose boars wunted oos to bee!"

absolute childhood in a song, makes me sad
This brought me many memories, when i was young i always woke up around 5am for some strange reason, and i ALWAYS watched this show at that time. It looks like crap to me now, but i used to love it!!
Oh my gawd, da MEMORIEZ!!!!
I watched this cartoon too when I was a little kid.
I remember there was a hungarian dub version at some hungarian TV channels.
Well, that unlocked a lot of core memories.
some of the best cartoons ever!!!!!! show them your kids if you have them
Does anybody else remember a cartoon, also with fruits and from the late 80s/early 90s? I only recall one name from that cartoon, but unless you're Romanian, it doesn't really help you - Lamaita. I think it used to air on Antena 1. I've had a vague memory of it for years now.
oh man, thats a blast from the past
I feel so old now;P
Now this brings back some memorys
@Owneador1337 it was the first digital animated series, and was painted in 8 bits in 1989, what did you expect?
gave me shivers all over..I was like 8 when first saw this cartoon..now I'm 23
Omg
I used to watch this cartoon and Bosco adventure when I was little
I wish I stayed at home more in the 90s. :( There were so many weird shows on mid-day back then!
Any particular reason why the scene where Kumba dances with a different guy every two seconds got cut from other versions of this intro?
Omgosh! I found !!! I loved this show!!!
These are practically the cartoons of my childhood...They just bring back the carefree times of when I was about 10-12 years old... Anyway, those times seemed more normal than they are nowadays. This song changed music history
man, man, man! i loved this cartoon.
Oh my god I cant beleive I found this!!! I used 2 gt up at 6 in the morning to watch this show!!!! :) :)
Spaniard production for TVE (Spanish Public Broadcaster) popular around the world! Make me proud!
Before Spain becomes a Socialist shit hole.
Sad times we are in.
Antes de que España se convierte en un agujero de mierda Socialista.
Tristes tiempos en que estamos.
Pues hace 5 años que está gobernando la derecha más reaccionaria.
Well, in Spain it is ruling the most reactionist right party since 2011.
@Owneador1337 if you know spanish, take a look to the spanish wikipedia and check "Los fruittis" article. They explained the story of the 8-bit digital painting there.

Man I miss my childhood. Those were the days! :D
Roly was pimpin as hell
Oh my gosh. I must have been like 6 years old when I watched this cartoon. :O
Me and a friend of mine used to sing the song xD god it's been so long!
childhood memories coming right now
Made something completely off the wall today. A blend of the Mexican and English with the Spanish being on the left channel and the English on the Right. Me hace muy feliz saber que el pais de origen de esta animacion es Espana!!!
I remember watching this in cartoon network. Greetings from germany!
I have some of this on tape still the intro is streched at the start though so thanks.
2019 this stuff was on ZTV in the mid and late 90s
I remember watching this when I was like 3. Been wondering for AGES what this show was called!
