119 miles between Madera and Corcoran what flight is running that route. This is a waist of money and time. Nobody will use this enough to pay for it plus tickets will cost more then driving your vehicle. Besides that it won't get finished and all the workers are going to get laid off come Sept when the budget fails.

Major delays were partly due to lawsuits by land owners. I’m hoping they’re able to move faster during this pandemic since less cars are on the road. 2029 seems really far away when the LA Metro rail has been expanding at a faster pace. I see no work going on in Merced yet. The Amtrak is very slow and always behind schedule.

We need to build the line from Bakersfield to Palmdale so we can connect with Metrolink or Amtrak ( Amtrak would extend the surf liner up to Palmdale ). Also we need to get that line to San Jose so it can connect with Caltrain and the Capitals. If money is tight we don't have to build it all the way from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

I was happy to learn that the new completed projects in Fresno like Tuolumne Street and Clinton Avenue do have very good bike lanes in addition to sidewalks. I recall seeing a CAHSR design standards document a while ago that indicated including bike lanes on all new urban grade separations. I wouldn’t expect bridges out in rural farmland to get bike lanes, but that shot of Avenue 15 does show paved shoulders of 5-6 feet on each side. As a cyclist myself, this definitely makes me excited. The old farm roads had nothing like that and they were terrifying to ride.
Will there be handicapped sidewalks as well? And horse trails? Will there be water fountains and rest rooms? What about free lodging for hikers? And free meals? And health care? Spend! Spend! Spend! What were we originally going to build here???

England and France have a 2 hour high speed UNDERWATER train. From London to Paris and Paris to London you can take a train and arrive in 2 hours. I had the pleasure to be on that train last January, I went from England to France in just 2 hours. The train even has a cafe and wifi and supreme comfort. But yet, we don’t even have a damn train to another city in our state....American infrastructure is a joke!!! California high speed rail is an expensive disaster that needs to cut its losses. You aren’t building high speed rail, you are building a mid distance train. It wont even compete with the car is was supposed to compete with.

This all sounds good, but reality it will suck the tax payers dollers as long as it is in place. 10 billion wasted. Where is the accountability? Its still not too late. Pay these workers to tear it all down. Keep them employed and save in the long run. They still have to buy the train and continue to pay to keep it running. The cost to do that will keep the train in a deficit and force taxes to increase..This video is all BS...sorry but truth...

@@danielcarroll3358 ive been to fresno many times ...the problem is that train would have to run at capacity for a 1000 years to justify the cost...when people see how much the ticket price is it will run empty and have to be shut down

Most expensive job creation/ pocket lining project ever. Truly wasteful, money could have been used much more productively. Furthermore, gurarenteed to lose money when operational
Problem is if and when it is completed the cost will never be recovered not to mention people from San Francisco are leaving quicky and the state is having the same problem. This project has upended people's lives and has ruined a lot of the land as evidenced by the video showing asphalt being laid down right on the middle of a grove sad to see. It will be worth the effort as it is a long time from ever being completed if ever and I do not accept any of what they have changed as it was voted on by many as a certain location to location bill. Funny how it has taken so long to make a video but why even bother when the truth is never mentioned. How many people in upper management positions quit after making over the top salaries and how much money has been paid to tutor Perini big money pit still not even close to what this video indicates another CA disaster and no way will this train ever turn a profit it will one day be a skateboard road and crumble apart
