I was happy to learn that the new completed projects in Fresno like Tuolumne Street and Clinton Avenue do have very good bike lanes in addition to sidewalks. I recall seeing a CAHSR design standards document a while ago that indicated including bike lanes on all new urban grade separations.
I wouldn’t expect bridges out in rural farmland to get bike lanes, but that shot of Avenue 15 does show paved shoulders of 5-6 feet on each side. As a cyclist myself, this definitely makes me excited. The old farm roads had nothing like that and they were terrifying to ride.

England and France have a 2 hour high speed UNDERWATER train. From London to Paris and Paris to London you can take a train and arrive in 2 hours. I had the pleasure to be on that train last January, I went from England to France in just 2 hours. The train even has a cafe and wifi and supreme comfort. But yet, we don’t even have a damn train to another city in our state....American infrastructure is a joke!!! We build military bases in foreign lands in a matter of 10 minutes, but when it comes to infrastructure that will benefit citizens and the environment and provide jobs, we don’t have the money. Give me a break! This is embarrassing! This project has been “in action” since 2008 and it’s still not going to be complete until 2033 or ever....we have money to make more freeways and highways but not enough for railways. Please.....

California high speed rail is an expensive disaster that needs to cut its losses. You aren’t building high speed rail, you are building a mid distance train. It wont even compete with the car is was supposed to compete with.

because they built it wrong. they should have started san diego-la and used that money to fund the rest of the line to the bay area

This all sounds good, but reality it will suck the tax payers dollers as long as it is in place. 10 billion wasted. Where is the accountability? Its still not too late. Pay these workers to tear it all down. Keep them employed and save in the long run. They still have to buy the train and continue to pay to keep it running. The cost to do that will keep the train in a deficit and force taxes to increase..This video is all BS...sorry but truth...

@@danielcarroll3358 ive been to fresno many times ...the problem is that train would have to run at capacity for a 1000 years to justify the cost...when people see how much the ticket price is it will run empty and have to be shut down

Problem is if and when it is completed the cost will never be recovered not to mention people from San Francisco are leaving quicky and the state is having the same problem. This project has upended people's lives and has ruined a lot of the land as evidenced by the video showing asphalt being laid down right on the middle of a grove sad to see. It will be worth the effort as it is a long time from ever being completed if ever and I do not accept any of what they have changed as it was voted on by many as a certain location to location bill. Funny how it has taken so long to make a video but why even bother when the truth is never mentioned. How many people in upper management positions quit after making over the top salaries and how much money has been paid to tutor Perini big money pit still not even close to what this video indicates another CA disaster and no way will this train ever turn a profit it will one day be a skateboard road and crumble apart
