Fantastic concert! I loved it all, in tears several times and trying to explain to my granddaughter how wonderful the music and harper is to experience. And to end with Bright New Morning which took me back to County Donegal in the kitchen with you and students playing this exact piece. Magic happens!
I so enjoyed this! Great compositions and energy. It‘s amazing how Janet Harbison‘s playing always sounds more like a chamber music ensemble than a single player.
Janet this is the first time I've heard to play on your own for any length of time. This is wonderful. I'm in covid isolation at the moment, and finding this brought a huge smile to my face, so wonderful. This is marvelous. Well done, don't ever give it up. Thankyou Shane - I'm really chuffed at your message - as for many years I played almost exclusively with the orchestra - but I'm strking out on my own now as there are so many ensembles harping away that I'm happy to hand over the reigns to the next generation. Life is lonelier - but I'm relieved to have less stress and crazy busy days - also so that I can get back to my books! Hopefully catch up again soon Shane. Keep piping...XXX
What a delight to encounter Janet Harbison (virtually) again! I was privileged to attend a concert she played at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY, USA, a few decades ago. She's only gotten better with age!!
Loved it all thank you janet and camac Gives me some hope as a learning the lever harp myself with my beautiful Isolde camac. My maine coons love these concerts. The tribute is so moving loved the other songs
