True. We pay our taxes. The government earns interest on all of our combined tax money. They keep the interest earned and we get back a portion of our taxes in refunds. This amount accrues until we retire. This is one of the ways our government makes money on our taxes. You don't need a business degree to understand this. Millions of hard working men and women pay our taxes. If Social Security gets cancelled? I'll take mine in $100 bills dating back to when I was 14 and compounded quarterly. When will we see our money in lieu of Social Security? We're waiting.😊

All else aside, someone should probably explain to her that "decriminalize" does not mean legalize. Those aren't the same thing. As the man said, the change (which he repeatedly told her did NOT happen) would have been made it a civil case, rather than a criminal one. You'd likely still face a fine or penalty of some kind, as the act itself would still be illegal, only you wouldn't be going to jail for it and it would have reduced the burden on an already overloaded criminal system.

The United States is headed in the same direction as Russia. A legislature with nothing but automatons, who propose no legislation and support everything the dear leader says. Also ignorant beyond belief. There must be 10 or 15 Republicans in the house, in marginal districts, that are willing to change the makeup of the house. And democrats should not be playing politics, but outwardly pursue this. So that urgent bills can be passed.
Getting some legislation through that needs to be passed will help in the upcoming election. One being money for Ukraine. They don't support money for Ukraine not because of the money, but because they support Putin. Donald Trump actually said he fell in love with the dear leader in North Korea. A complete psychopath. These are dangerous people that have to be stopped by any and all means. And I mean any means. I'm watching from the outside and frankly it's terrifying. Kim Jong Un is a mass murderer. A criminal on a scale that would shame Hitler, yes Hitler killed more, but he had more power than Kim. If Kim had the same level of power 100's of millions would be dead. And Trump praises him, says he loves him, cherishes greeting cards from him, like your 1st love letter, and the intelligence agencies of NATO, Japan, etc... are calming watching this. Were I the head of one of these nations, I would be asking the agencies with 3 letters as their name, for options, ALL options. And I don't care what anybody says, to stop this man who is now rampaging and more dangerous than ever, from getting into power, even if it is by 38 cents of lead, is not immoral. On the contrary, it is a moral urgency.
