Fifty-two years ago I learned the Vivace movement. I was thirty years old at the time, physically fit and mentally acute. Being able to play it gave me immense pleasure. Unforgettable. Now I am in my eighties and disabled. No more sonata, no more Bach. I am just a listener, but even that gives me pleasure.
In my thirties, working on my doctorate, when I learned this sonata. Now I'm 75, and the hands just do not work at all well any more. I miss playing more than anything else I've lost in life.
Dear NBS, I think you should really start recording all the other organ pieces by other composers played by these fabulous organists of the Netherlands. There are many great recordings of other instruments out there but great recordings of organs pieces are rare. Even the conditions to have good recordings on organ pieces are rare; but you've got everything; INCREDIBLE organs! INCREDIBLE halls!! INCREDIBLE organists!!! INCREDIBLE technicians!!!! It is not the matter of views, if you don't capture these magical moments it would be a great loss to humankind!!!!! Even Bach would say...'Schade'
Such intelligent, articulate playing! These trio sonatas are surely gems in their own right, and Mr. Winsemius' playing here is such a delight I have returned here multiple times to savor the great pleasure of his performance on this lovely organ. Thank you!
Tom Cloyd do you know where I could find a good recording of the Bach English suits on organ. I know they are harpsichord compositions but a few organ recordings would be interesting.

This is a most masterful and beautiful rendering of this sonata. For this and a number of other reasons, it was worth going through the many storms of life.

The pipe organ is it pneumatic or electric or both?need to know what key board to buy to get the pipe organ sound.not one that sounds close but sounds identical!!!
the ambitious project of recording the integral of Bach, by the "Netherlands Bach Society", from what has been achieved up to now, does not seem to me to have reached an aesthetically valid result! This sonata can be heard; it is still a live performance!!

Form 02:30 to 03:05 and on, is the pure genius, joy and dance of Bach. I cant stop listen to this part
Bach's music is an ultimate, cosmic dance.
The master's playing is clear and crisp. His fingers are light on the keys. I love the the contrast between the parts. This sonata is complete.
